Hi Timonthy
Yes this is a normal function for the machine to put water straight into the tray, as the machine is rinsing the brew unit inside the machine it moves up and down when you turn the machine on and off and when you make coffee so it always reminds moist for moving up and down and so it doesnt get blocked up with coffee, If you have notice an increase of water it might be try to flush out a blockage. Please remove the drip tray and place your hand were the drip tray goes feel up and there is a flap that moves forward please clean way any ground coffee and monitor the machine.
I hope this information helps and if you need any assistance please contact [email protected]

I just unpacked my new Jura Micro 90 and to begin with the little lip on the bean cover was broken, and the buttons do not work. Even the power button after it powers on will not power off. The machine will say ready when I first turn it on and then I press the button for coffee and it says rinse and then nothing happens. I can not get into the menu usually and if I do I can't get out. Is there a way to reset it or will I have to send it back.

For starters if you recieved it broken you should send it back. Secondly, when you do get an unbroken one, read the book of instructions whilst using it the first few times until you get the hang of it. Youll be fine.. send it back tho cos of the broken bit... asking that question here just wastes your time

LOL I think the little bit that came off was inside the machine and was messing with the controls. I have sent it back and getting a new one. Thanks

Are there any success stories out there in actually getting Jura respond to customers and honour the warranty and can provide some info on getting their attention? It's been a year since my first complaint to Jura. What have people tried? Formal PayPal dispute? Fair trading? Should I go back to the retailer? I have to follow up on this. I STILL can't get a response from Jura. The machine is in 2 yr warranty period but that's useless when their policy seems to be no contact. This machine just gets worse and worse. I've now been putting up with it for nearly a year since my first complaint. This is the worst small appliance I have ever bought and the most expensive. literally it has one job & not one function to make coffee isn't problematic. Please if anyone knows the trick for getting this sorted I'd love to hear how!

How or what method did you use to contact Jura when you first had an issue?
If you bought it from a retailer; go back to the retailer!!! Dont wait a year for a response from an online or email.. just go backto the store!! If you bought it via paypal tell paypal!!
Better yet.. pick up a phone and call a distributor.. sometimes the old fashioned ways if contacting people do actually work !

Thanks Wolffsgirl. Phone, eMail, trying to get their attention over this site. Jura customer service motto seems to be if they have problems ignore them. I've of course not waited a year they have just kept me in a loop of trying their maintenance cleaning which of course I had always done but increasing it to ridiculous levels per cup of coffee. These things work for a period but loose their effectiveness and are well over and above the 'low maintenance' that is part purpose of the machine and mean you spend more on their cleaning products that the machine. The retailer is someone I regularly use without problem but escalating means it will be with them, not Jura. I'm trying again to work with them directly to avoid doing that and stuff a relationship with a good supplier but yes formal PayPal dispute and lodging claim with Fair Trading is next step. Was curious to see if anyone has gone through that process with success.

Hi! Can I use pre-ground Illy espresso in the ground chute? It is finely ground and I saw a warning about using too funky ground coffee? I wasn’t sure what that meant. Thanks!

I think you should read the instruction book again. It says you can use pre-ground and gives instruction for how to do that. Cheers.

Hello
After emptying the grounds tub and the fluid tray, I was curious to see how 'clean' the grounds delivery spout was. I shone a torch in there and was horrified to see little mold spores growing at the junction of the angled spout and the vertical bit (you'll know what I mean If you look in). Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't a machine clean also take care of this part of the machine? Surely it is not acceptable for a machine design to allow this sort of growth to occur? I have had the machine for about a year now, and have otherwise been really happy with it. However this has somewhat grossed me out.
Is there a remedy for this, other than having it 'serviced' several times a year at a probable inflated cost?
Regards
Peter

Ive found the same. I'm assuming this with all the other issues is a faulty leaky machine which Jura refuse to respond to. It's really gross.

Yes I've noticed that. Sent an email to Jura and quick as a flash nobody responded....

You can be responsible for some cleaning on your own cant you? When you do a full clean try using a bottle brush and shine that torch in so you can see. Its really not that hard!!

I have just bought an Ena Micro90 to replace my 8 year old Ena 5.
I have found the coffee unbelievably weak, even after programming to the maximum possible.
As a guide, the grind lasts about 2 seconds whereas the older machine took about 5 seconds.
I dont know what to do. Any ideas?

Perhaps its the coffee bean you are buying? Experiment with a different one. Im currently using an Aldi brand coffee bean and its quite nice. I am not sure if the grind is important but i switched mine to a finer grind and i used the settings to adjust it to strongest flavour. Have you tried that?
I only just bought mine so i havent yet written a review.

I find exactly the same and ive tried run of the mill beans to very high quality from local barista. The settings don't seem to have much of an impact either.

I configure the cappuccino so that it leaves a little space at the end, in which you can just press the pure espresso button. This essentially gives you a double shot.

I have a Jura ena Micro 90 which works well apart from the fact that the drip tray needs constantly to be emptied, and there is no way of indicating it needs to be done, it has not over flowed yet but I am concerned that it will happen. Can you help me?

I was wondering the same also. It would be good to have an indicator or something. I just empty the tray each time I'm promoted to empty the grounds. So far so good.

Dear Bob,
Thank you for your question, with the ENA Micro one it doesn't have any sensors on the drip it goes on a counter if you made a couple of coffees the sign will show to empty tray once the tray is open the counter will set it self back to zero only when the machine is one if you remove the tray when its off it doesn't reset back to zero. Also empty the tray when the machine is one and the sign will show to empty.

Hi Bob, I've had my machine for a couple of years and I've never had the drip tray overflow. All I do is empty it when I'm prompted to empty the grounds. Sometimes it's pretty full when it's done a lot of rinsing but not much coffee making. Also when it says to put a container under the spout during the descaling make sure you do because it goes through lots of water in that process.

Hi, my Ena 90 needs to be decalcified. Problem is, the machine will not prompt for me to do it. I know I have made enough of coffee to prompt the machine for the decalcify program. Any way of doing it manually? Love the machine otherwise.

Dear Mr Arabica,
thank you for your question. you need to check if your machine is set to filter mode or descale mode. if the unit is set to filter mode the machine will not ask you to descale and you cannot descale manually. if you could check which mode and email to [email protected] we can go from there.
