Why does our split system continuously blow cold air when set on warm? We turn it on, it blows warm for a while, then switches to cold. It's not the defrost happening, we're not in freezing conditions and it happens too often.

We have just had a 5kw Kaden installed and after using the aircon once it now makes a noise when its off. Its quite loud and very irritating as it doesn't stop. My partner says it kind of sounds like a fan rubbing or something similar even tho it is off.

Hi, we have just moved into a new home on the NW coast of Tasmania our previous home had 2 Daiken AC units. the new home has 2 Kaden AC units installed - a KS24 in the living space and a smaller 4.2kw unit in the formal lounge.
At this point in time we are not particularly happy with the performance of the KS24, the unit, initially seems to heat the space quite quickly but then of a night time with an outside temperature the unit goes into DF mode virtually every 45min to 1 hour, the outside temp is not particularly cold - 8 to 10 degrees, This has also occurred during the day when the outside temp is around 12 degrees. Our previous Daiken AC units would not go into defrost mode until the temp was around 3 degree or less (when you would expect frost outside).
The other issue with this unit is when the nominated air temperature is reached the unit goes into standby mode where the external unit shuts down but the fan on the internal units continues to circulate air which either is or seems to be cold air.

Can you provide some feedback or advice regards these issues please.

We recently moved into a new unit. The unit has a new KS24 installed. The installation manual advises that a wind baffle can be located in front of the outside unit to minimize the effect of strong winds. What distance should this be ? Currently the inside unit struggles to maintain 20 degrees on cold nights. Slows down and blows out cool air. Who should we contact? Thanks Peter Jose. email: [email protected]

I recently had a KS24 installed. I've been away for a few months and on returning and using the system note that the heat does not work at all. I recall it working on the day of installation for the few minutes that I had it on, but it hasn't been used since. I've checked all trouble shooting ideas. Very disappointing. Can you help, or do I need to go back to the installer? thanks

Hi Ellen,
You will not have to get him to call our customer care team, you can do so on 1800 080 055. Or alternatively if you provide your number we can give you to call to arrange a service agent to come out and look at your air conditioner.
