Amid all the customer service complaints I would like to say the store in Midland WA has great staff and customer service.
I have a lot of Kathmandu items and love them all. The only negative comment is that the zips are almost always very poor and difficult to operate.

- Store is easy to find located in the shopping mall.
- I wear this as an everyday jacket, nice warm, snug and cozy,
- Very satisfied with all their products
- I now own 3 different Kathmandu jackets and I have to say this one is my favourite as it’s lightweight and warm. I wear it on the chilly days and it’s a lifesaver for keeping the wind out. Looks nice and is comfortable to wear.

I purchased 2 items on line to pick up in my local store. After 8 days I got an email saying my items were ready to collect but on getting there my items were not there at all. The store said they may have been scanned in by another store erroneously. Took my mobile no down and said they try and locate my parcel. No call back so I rang the head office. Completely pathetic response “sorry but we can’t do anything you need to call the store again”. Called the store, they said no news on my lost order. Apparently it’s MY PROBLEM and once they have your money no one at Kathmandu gives a sh(t!! Most other stores would fill your order again and send by express post but not Kathmandu. It’s never their fault and always the customers.

You need to offer some larger sizes in the puffer jackets, not all people are stick thin. As a bloke that holds extra muscle and some comfort your jackets are just to small. Jackets need to be loose fitting !! I am not the first to complain about this !! Offer a 3xl or even 4xl !!

I have been trying to find a pair of sunglasses (the exact ones or similar style) with no luck at all. I've been to the city store, Macquarie, Chatswood, Castle hill, etc and they have always told me try a different store. The staff are not friendly and not helpful.

I have worn Kathmandu socks for some time. Although they are adequately comfortable, they do not last.
The fibre on the soles particularly, pills badly and the soles end up very thin after only a few washes. Given that they are very pricey, i would expect much more wear from them.

10 days after paying for a down jacket I'm still awaiting a store transfer because they ran out of my size only to find out it hadn't even shipped yet.

My wife and I bought a pair of Oboz hiking boots each last year for walking the Camino in Spain following the recommendation of the Frankston Store assistant. Great boots- comfortable, waterproof and pretty easy to wear in. Our fitbits recorded 1.2 million steps in them and they are now getting ready for next years Camino in France.

I went into the Watergardens store looking for a warm and waterproof jacket. I was approached by Caroline who was so thoughtful and friendly and gave me great advice and also what suited me. She went above and beyond with her customer service and I would highly recommend anyone going into that store to see her. I walked out a very happy customer with a beautiful high quality jacket.

Recently purchased a pair of Kathmandu Hiking Shoes. First time I wore them I realised they are dangerously slippery walking on wet footpaths, or indoors.
Went back to the store to return and they said they cant help because they have been worn already. 30 day money back does not count if you wear the product...
Understand now that this is the policy, but really surprised by that customer service.

I don't know what's happened at Kathmandu. The prices have always been high bit so was the quality. Not anymore though better quality can be found at Kmart or Target for a fraction of the price. Very Sad.

Recently not so long ago I brought a whole set pajamas and I only wore it for about 4 months but it was of bad quality and material and got ruined

Dfo Essendon kathmandu outlet management are lazy and rude. I had to order the same item 6 times over 1 month. They were enjoying wasting my time and they have no consideration for customers. I still haven't received my item and I was spoken to aggressively by the store manager mat.

Bought jacket for $189 and it’s got a hole in it after 2 weeks of wearing. I live in town has only been worn in and around town and home. Cannot believe all the hype about these jackets. It’s not overly warm and it’s not made to last either. Could have bought a Target one for quarter of the price and just as durable. Very disappointed.

I’ve been travelling for 8 years now and finally got 2 pairs of hiking pants. One had zip off legs I case you get hot and want to wear shorts. They are so comfortable and stretchy and wash and dry in a flash. Should have bought them years ago
