I have been a fan of Kathmandu for over 5 years now. All of there products I have purchased have very good build quality. Not had a single issue with them. while rrp pricing on many of there products is quite high, if you look out for sales you are definitely getting bang for your buck. Good range of products all year round.
Went to castle hill Kathmandu to buy some equipment for school camp, Cheryl was very helpful, she wasn't overly pushy, and she always asked for my opinion. She helped with a lot of things including sizing and comfortability, she always let me talk and voice my concerns. Wonderful energy aswell.
Great customer service I recommend it.
Went to their Chatswood store for hiking shoes. Craig has been very patient and provided us with the details and helped us (my wife and I) find the perfect fits in their discounted range. He also gave us advice on the matching socks for my shoes.
Professional customer service, highly recommended if you need help on choosing your first pair of hiking shoes.

Beware, do not base your purchase on Kathmandu’s reviews alone because they do not post bad reviews. And they amend them to suit them. I originally posted this review on their website with 2 stars and they changed it to 5 stars. I posted another review under a different email address with 2 stars and noted that I had posted my previous review with 2 stars but they changed it to 5 stars and also said I would not recommend the Women’s Epiq jacket because the material is of poor quality, thin and flimsy, it was posted for a couple of days but then...
Read more deleted! Please do not buy the Women’s Epiq hooded down jacket it is really poor quality and thin. I ordered the jacket and picked it up click n collect and was saving it for winter but took it with me to work because it gets cold because of the air conditioning. A work mate saw something on my jacket but it was actually a feather poking out and down was coming out. After looking at this I saw a visible hole in the sleeve and down was coming out. Also at the seams a lot of visible down was coming out. I understand the down reduces over time but I was quite taken aback at how much down was coming out at the seams. I took it back to the store. Originally the store person wanted to repair it but I would not accept this as I could not believe that it would be damaged after only wearing it very briefly 3 times, the other time was when I went to vote. I asked for a replacement or a refund. I actually wanted to replace it for a more expensive jacket the Federate bomber jacket as I thought it was thicker and warmer but she said the Epiq was warmer. She said she would replace it with a brand new one covered plastic wrap but they did not have any in stock so she said she would ring around to have one sent to our local store. I went instore to pick up the replacement and the customer service lady went over it with me to ensure it had no holes, she went through it with using the light from her mobile phone and I noticed a thread sticking out but did not think much of it at the time. I thought this was it and I would not have anymore problems but at home when I looked at it closely, the thread was actually coming undone. I compared it to other stitches on the jacket and realised it had been double sown, as if it had been repaired and now the second stitch was coming undone making it a faulty jacket. I was beyond angry and upset that I was given a faulty down jacket twice. I went back to the store but it was closed because they put on their website that they were open at 7am but did not open til 9am. I rang their 1300 customer service line online and spoke to Ryan who said I could get a refund as I was concerned the same person named Sheree at our local store would try and get me to get a repair or replace it again. No thanks! Will never buy a Kathmandu jacket ever again. I am just so angry and so disappointed as I waited so long to buy a Kathmandu Women’s hooded Epiq down jacket for more than 5 years, I was just waiting for my previous and much loved down jacket that I had for more than 10 years, possibly more than 15 years to be on it last legs. Every time I saw someone with a Kathmandu jacket I told myself I would get one but never ever again. The Epiq down jacket is of such poor quality! The material is so thin. With my previous down jacket I did not have any problems with a tear, hole or a feather poking through because the material was so much thicker and better quality. Yes the down reduced over time but over a very long time and I did not see that much down coming out at the seams as much as I did with this one. I will do my research and compare different down jackets between different brands and make sure I go to instore and feel the quality of the material before buying.Find out how Kathmandu Physical store compares to other Footwear Shops & Brands

Such a lazy staff member today young tall thin dark haired fellow at greenhills nsw. Just not interested. After telling me they don't sell what I wanted I looked for a minute and there was what I wanted hanging on a hanger right at the door for $199.00. took my money elsewhere.
I would like to acknowledge the wonderful customer service (E Golding) at the Cottesloe store with assistance to purchase a rain jacket . I can’t thank her enough for such fabulous assistance and help . I’m over 400km away and she made sure my daughter received the jacket in time for camp. From the bottom of my heart the biggest thank you you wonderful lady
I went to Melbourne southern cross spencer outlet yesterday to exchange because I got 2 jackets one for me and one for my sister it was not fit so I was there to just exchange the size I explain the senario honestly but he was like did you wear this it was quite rude because the tag was still there one tag has been taken but I told him can take the tag from the exchange one but he was sharp . From my point of view staffs need to be polite and good .

To the credit of Kathmandu I must say this jacket is very lightweight and looks good but that's as far as it goes. In terms of comfort and warmth, I am really dissapointed in this product. It feels like im wearing a plastic bag and if the temperature goes under 15° celsius. It just doesn't keep me warm. I understand that it is built for hiking and active sports but so is my snowboard parka and it is very warm, comfortable and breathable. The heli jacket is very uncomfortable. I actually prefer my $30 Lowes jacket over it for casual wear!! I even went out and paid 50 bucks for a water resistant parka from kmart. Warm as!! Sorry but I can't recommend Kathmandu. Way overpriced.

I received an email saying my order was ready to be picked up from the Richmond store. Front door had grill down, back door said use the front door. Sent email to Katmandu, told store open, went back, same back and front doors. On the TWELTH email between Katmandu and myself, three asking my opinion on their customer service, I was told to go to the back door and phone, even though it said use the front door, with no message advising to phone for click and collect. I suggested if this had been mentioned on the first email, I wouldn't have...
Read more had to make THREE trips to the store. I phoned RIchmond store and was told they phoned everyone who had click and collect from within the store, but as mine came from a distribution centre, I wasn't entitled to a phone call. Attitude from Sofia through emails and the female in store who's name I don't know. I have never received such pitiful service from Katmandu.- 91 reviews

Purchased a black lightweight rain jacket with a hood which has had a defective zipper from the beginning. The zipper is a cheap one and not a worthwhile purchase as jacket has been worn twice. Not a cheap purchase either.

I was sick of disposable masks during this latest masked period in Perth, so I thought I’d opt for a quality one from Kathmandu only to be disappointed.
A $15 black mask with a small logo seemed like the best option, unfortunately it’s just like a saggy, well worn, well washed old sock with elastic. No form or shape, definitely wouldn’t keep germs in or out. I expected better.

The staff at Frankston store, 3 staff members were so helpful to me in finding equip longline puffer jacket for my husbands birthday, I want to say they very professional helpful and cheerful thank you Pauline taylo
Discrimination. Rude staff. Wont serve me unless I sign in. Avoid this chain for refusing your right against being tracked and traced against your will. Can walk in the store and touch cough and sneeze on everything but wont serve you.
The manager Danielle at Chermside was fantastic! So helpful, kind and even gave a recommendation for a useful app to store loyalty cards. Absolutely loved visiting the store, if the manager can hold such a wonderful demeanour, I'm sure the other employees will be just as superb.
