Great quality especially for the price
Has performed flawlessly, is super quiet and was cheaper than other competitors. Installation was no issue. LED temperature display on the unit is a bit weird but can easily be turned off via the remote control. Cooling for the 2.5kwh system is more than sufficient for a master bedroom. Have not tried the heating element yet.

Very disappointed
I purchased a 2.5 and a 3.5 KVA from Harvey Norman. Had installed by AC professionals with over 30 years experience. Specs said that there was pregassing for up to 5metres of piping. ( This is normally 10 to 25 metres on most units.). Installation of both used less than .2.5 metres each. Northern would cool efficiently., 3.5 unit would only fan out ambient temperature. After extensive leak testing the installers testing gear revealed that both units were severely undergassed. The 3.5kva unit contained only 400gm of refrigerant which was enough ...Read more
for about 1 metre of piping and the 2.5 KVA unit contained 700 GM's of refrigerant which was enough to produce mild cooling but not enough to function effectively. Having to top up the refrigerant in each unit added considerably to to overall costs. In future I would only buy units with 10 to 15 metres of pregassing capacity and definitely not kelvinator.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
