Useless!
Thought I’d give a got as decent reviews, boy was I wrong. I’ve had about two months. House is all tiled. Suction is ridiculous, doesn’t pick up much. The brush fails to move, getting stuck with hair. Frustrating when you just want a clean floor. Will never buy s vacuum from Kmart again. $100 that could of been spend on a decent one. Waste of time.

Much like a Dyson
This looks much like a Dyson but a fraction of the price. I use it to spot clean all kinds of places around the house and then do a bg vacuum on the weekend. Its easy as pie to use and emptying the dust out is simple too. I get a wet paper towel and wipe it down because it always ends up having some cling to the body. Its a good vacuum.

Happy for now after Dyson DC59 died
I have had a Dyson DC59 for 4 years and had the brush bar, metal rod, power head and 2 battery replacements in that time. It did it's job and I was keen to purchase another, but thought they were over priced for what you pay for. I went to Godfreys and tried many handsticks in there, and the sales rep pushed me towards the Sauber for around $500. I felt they all were too heavy for a stick vac, and none of the lighter ones were recommended at all. So I left them, went and did some study in the library with Choice and was still unconvinced. cided to just go buy the $99 Asko Kmart stick vac, even though reviews have been all over the place from buyers. I have a large home with vinyl and carpets and 2 indoor dogs, 1 cat and a parrot who comes out nightly. So I have animal hair and bird feathers and seed to contend with plus dust from a wood heater. I am quite happy with the Kmart Vac, It isn't as powerful as a Dyson but gets a lot of hair out of the carpet and general crumbs off the vinyl. I actually think the plastic is better quality that a dyson, the clips and connections appear stronger, the filter is a better setup and you can wash the shroud which is the part that sits inside the dust cannister that the debris spins around. The power head isn't as strong as a Dyson and I clean the brush out daily, but overall I think this machine would suffice for most people who don't want to spend big, or simply cannot afford an expensive stick vac. It is light and easy to manoeuvre as well as easy to empty. I do wish they made a mini power head and a soft dusitng brush like you can buy as extras for the dyson though. You can also buy extra parts if you need an extra battery say, plus it has a one year warranty. Parts are so much cheaper than Dyson. So if you need a quick and easy unit to use daily, I would recommend this machine. I will still get my Miele bagged vaccy out weekly for a thorough clean though. Hope this helps people!1 comment

EDIT WASTE OF MONEY
I bought this on a recommendation from a friend to help save me time. I use it on lino and carpet area plus a few rugs. I wouldn't go throwing out my big vacuum but it's great for small mess. It's light charges a lot quicker then the instructions state.
EDIT after a few months it broke never worked again lost suction then died. Kmart only part refunded me seriously unimpressed. Next time I'll spend a bit more money. Lasted about 3 mths

Great for the price
I bought this the other day after reading mixed reviews. So far i haven't any major issues. Its great for hard floors and carpets. Its obviously not as good as a dyson but its great for quickly grabbing and vacuuming up the crumbs from 2 very messy toddlers. Love it.

Addicted to vacuum cleaning
Even the kids can do it because its so convenient and easy. It doesn't have head if power but if you keep it emptied after every use it sucks better. I have a big house and can almost get it all done. But usually just do sections at a time. Its easy to use and you don't have to hold your finger on the button

Great for the hard surfaces
I use this in addition to giving the house a thorough, proper vacuuming once a week. I use it for the little clean ups here and there that occur. Its always charged and ready to go and I find it works very well indeed. Easy to empty the dust bin and light enough to use without tiring. It's a good machine!

Love it, picks up the dog hair!
Bought a few months ago for the sole purpose of picking up my dog’s hair from the carpet as my current vacuum just wasn’t doing a good job. I was worried due to it being on the cheaper side as Kmart usually is, but it’s been fantastic at picking up the dog hair. Really pleased

Value for money
I’ve had mine 2 months now. I originally bought it to vacuum up the sand my grandson was bringing in from the sandpit. I love it. I use it everyday. I have a 4 bdrm 2 lounge,, dining and study. Big house. New carpet. It does it all. I never run out of battery. Compact and easy to use. I use the big vac once in a while. can’t recommend it highly enough. A very pleasant surprise.

The best carpet cleaner iv'e ever had
Carpet. Tiles. Picks up all the dog hair. Is easy to use. Always ready to go. No cord dragging around with the vacuum cleaner. And the best part is it was only $59. Makes vacuuming breeze. Packs away against the wall out of the way. I'm really pleased with my Kmart battery operated stick vacuum

Good for the quick vacuum.
I have slate floors and timber floor which get dusty, I wanted an easy cheap vacuum for those days when you don’t want to drag the big vacuum out. I don’t have carpets so this is perfect for floor boards and slate. For the price of $99 it’s great value for money.

Easy and convenient
It is easy to use, can be at hand and it has no cords and can be very handy for small places. I keep it in the kitchen to clean the mess and it works for me. The Kmart is great and also very inexpensive and affordable and worth trying. It is a fast way to clean and not to worry about cords and getting out the vac

Convenient, but broke and wasn’t particularly effective
I'm somewhat torn on this vacuum.
I purchased it for a relatively small 2-bedroom, predominately carpeted, apartment. I really enjoyed the convenience of the small, light, easy to maneuver, cordless vacuum. However, the suction wasn't particularly strong and I would find myself repeatedly going over the same patch of grit waiting for the vacuum to finally raise it off the carpet. I couldn't help but feel that there was lots more dust that wasn't being cleared.
After merely 3 months, the motor that spins the rotor brush stopped working. Km...Read more
art was happy to refund. I don't want to judge the reliability of all vacuums based on my experience with one vacuum, however, I would make sure you hold onto the receipt for this one (12-month warranty). I would say this product is best for a small, mostly floor-boarded apartment of a clean, petless human; or as a second vacuum to a large household, as it is very convenient to grab and use. I replaced my broken one with the Kmart 2400W Bagless corded model. The difference in suction is astonishing, although being tethered down is very annoying.Similar opinion? If you want some thing that does the job, without the $100's of dollar price tag, I highly recommend
I have brought this wonderful vacuum cleaner from Kmart, around one and half months ago. It has 2 different power suction speeds, It was $99 from Kmart, not the $100's of dollars that the Dyson cost. It works that well, pics up everything, if you want to vacuum a rug or mat make sure you use the lower power speed, as it make take the piles out of your mats, which is honestly how powerful it is, as I have cut it back to the lower speed whilst doing my rugs, as I had found it had lifted up some of the mat piles, around the power head. It doe...Read more
s not take long to charge either, and is quiet light comparing to many other vacuums. I got so over lugging my large Vac up right about, and having to pull it to part, so I could vac under the bed, not with wonder vac from Kmart. I honestly wished I had one years ago, as it is all I would need, no more pulling and pushing bulky vacuums around, and I have not used my vac's upright ever again since buying this wonderful product from Kmart. July 20th 2018 Update: Best Value Stick Vacuum cleaner that actually really works I had seen these vacuum cleaners in Kmart, and was airing and umping for a few weeks before I finally made the purchase back in May. It looks very similar to named brands, and in my opinion would be much better value, than the other brands, and would work just as great, and you get the same amount of battery time, saving you hundreds of dollars. It works on two speeds, high and low, the suction is great. A word of warning the suction on high speed to too powerful to do rugs, use the low speed, other wise it may lift some piles from the rugs. I now do not have to pull out my vac upright out of the cupboard, and lump round a heavy machines, so i do my floors more often. By far the best ever vacuum that i have ever owned. Would I buy again and would I recommend, I would buy again and highly recommend this wonderful product.1 comment
Like all vacuum cleaners they will loose suction if you do not pull them a part, and clean out the filter. The filter can be washed, I clean it at least weekly, they do get a lot of fluff on them. This should also help with the suction.

Best mum with baby or toddler tool
My little one isn’t great at sleeping while the vaccuum is running around the house... who would be? But he also is an absolute pain to vaccuum with . But the stick takes the big machine and cords out of the equation. It only takes 5-10 minutes to run through the whole house in the evening as part of our clean up routine. For the main areas it means I can mop more frequently. The carpets don’t get as messy. I still pull out the Dyson on the carpets once a week because it’s not a replacement for a deep clean. And for the price tag! Why wouldn’t you? I love this thing.

Kmart Cordless Stick Vacuum.
I saw this on Kmart and was intrigued.
At first I had thought this would only be good for sweeping rather than actually vacuuming, but me being a gadget fanatic liked how this looked and how compact it is.
Weight.
Weight it's not to heavy about 2.4 kg and feels pretty premium by weight. And it's not very heavy to maneuver the vacuum around while vacuuming.
Attachments.
It comes with 3 attachment a circular attachment to do corners a long attachment to do edges and skirting boards and also a motorised power head.
All 3 attachments connect to the Motor without the stick being needed which becomes very versatile when needing to vacuum the car or upholstery.

Eat My Dirt, Vacuum
Really pleased with this $99 vacuum.
Compared a number of stick vacuums and most cost over $300. I wasn't prepared to spend a lot of money on an item I might not like or use. Decided on the Kmart brand.
We have floor boards, carpet and tiles in our home. Single storey, three bedrooms, one and half bath and it completes without needing a recharge. Picks up a lot of stuff and for a quick vacuum, works great.
Need to empty after each full vacuum but that is easy straight into the bin.

My vacuum stopped working all of a sudden, it turns on for a brief 5 seconds and turns off. It also has a red flashing light on the battery pack. Please advise what to do?

If it is under warranty (usually has 1year warranty) take it back to Kmart, they will replace it. Or refund you the money. They usually ask for its receipt, but even if you don't have receipt, they should change it because it's there home brands. Hope this helps.
Sounds like a battery problem. Once my vaccum is charged I take it off charge and when I use it I make sure to drain the battery so I can fully charge it again. I hope this helps.

Hi,
We have one of these things and has a issue.
The machine turns on then turns off again. Has yellowish light on the side of the battery.
When on charge no light at all
Any ideas?

Sounds like either your charger or battery has failed. Could also be dirty or corroded contacts preventing proper charging. Make sure the charger plug is seated all the way in the socket and also not loose. Try twisting the plug inside the socket to establish better contact. According to Dyson V6 Stick vac support.....A solid amber light indicates that the battery is not charging due to a temporary fault (e.g. too hot/cold). If this fails time for a new one. But go for one of the new Dysons this time. Chalk and cheese. The VC101 pales into insignificance compared with a real Dyson Vac Stick. Good luck!
