Disappointed - too firm
Over the past 18 months, this mattress, which began comfortable, has steadily increased my back pain. I now wake up multiple times a night with a sore back due to the firmness. I am disappointed as I am now in the position of needing to look for another mattress after only 18 months. Just wish it were softer!

My new Koala mattress replaces a zoned pocket coil mattress on which I found I needed to sleep in just the right zones otherwise I woke with a sore back and neck and most days, a headache. eathing is so much clearer because my body is better aligned, I am amazed at how much better I feel. I don’t notice my partner moving about at night or any sag/roll toward each other and we are both on the larger side, just a little overweight. As it’s only been two weeks it may be too soon to comment on durability and whether it’s holding it’s shape, but at this point it is and I don’t have any concerns that it won’t. I would prefer firmer sides/edge on the bed so that when you sit on it it holds it shape, but this doesn’t impact on sleep. Also the pillow with a firm and soft side is great, I’ve had so much trouble with pillows in the past, I find my head is cradled and supported and my neck (which I have arthritis in) is aligned and my nerves are no longer pinched and no more headaches... it is so awesome to wake up feeling so much better. I am so glad I chose Koala and would again if we upsize to king size in the future.Purchased in March 2021.

Had this mattress for just over 2 years now. My partner and I still feel each other move about each night. Not as advertised. Left a review on their website (which wasn’t published unsurprisingly). Worst mattress
Worst mattress. No back support at all, its saggy and soft. Made my back pain worse. I tried to return it, however they wanted me to fold it in half which is impossible. Tried to replace it atleast, but they made the process so hard, as they want a ton of pictures. Wouldn't recommend this mattress to anyone.

Love this mattress!!
The mattress had a very slight smell when i first opened the box but this disappeared very quickly. The mattress is very comfortable and perfect for a slide sleeper. It's been about 2 weeks now and I've slept well every night. The delivery process was amazing - they really worked hard to get it to me ASAP and were so lovely to communicate with. I highly recommend!!

We own a caravan park and 100% of our mattresses are high quality foam mattresses. Dunlop, Comfort plus, Palermo. Essentially 'Clark Rubber.'
We purchased a few Koala mattresses, from our 15 years of experience in the game, they are without a doubt Dunlop foam, Dunlop memory foam, which their Customer Service officer has now confirmed in an email received yesterday.

Good with some improvement to be made for those who like firmer beds
The mattress is quite comfortable and good quality. Looking forward to the topper, which might make the feel a little firmer. Otherwise, it's decent as is and the topper can also help with a softer feel if that is preferred.

A great supportive mattress an improvement on my previous mattress
Generally a supportive mattress but I have noticed a slight sagging and have had to turn the mattress around. I also feel the need for an extra topping pad for increased comfort and sustained improved sleep.

Body impressions (where your shape is reflected in the mattress) are completely normal in all types of modern mattresses, including the Koala mattress, and you shouldn’t be alarmed. These occur over the first few months of use where the comfort layers on top of the core are settling to the body weights and most common sleeping positions used on the mattress. We recommend rotating your new mattress over the first few months of use to help create more even settling of the comfort layers especially where there are two individuals with different sleeping styles or weights using the mattress. Our mattress didn’t have a high spot in the middle - I wonder if you are used to a mattress that’s low on the middle, like most old ones are ?! Our adult son slept on the Koaka mattress in our spare room and it took him 3 days to get used to it.

First night on our new koala mattress, and I haven’t slept a wink sadly, it’s nearly 5am and I’m far from rested. I feel extremely uncomfortable and am just about ready to go sleep on the air mattress in spare room. It’s like sleeping on a hard slab, my neck feels so unsupported. It stinks of chemicals. I’m trying not to feel disheartened as this held so much promise. We saved hard for this and now I’m having buyers regret. Will it get better, am I just needing to adjust to it? It does take about 14 days for your body to adjust to a new mattress, if after the 14 nights you are still feeling the same let us know and we can look into some other options for you.
Generally the first night will be the most difficult for some especially if you're coming from spring mattress.

Just ordered and received my Koala bed today - 3 hour turnaround time was amazing!
However.. dimensions are way off, my queen size bed is a full 5cm short on length, one side only 19cm thick, other side 21cm thick. Will it expand to quoted sizing over the next few days?
