This mattress is super comfy! Every time anyone lays on my mattress it’s hard to get up again because it’s so comfy!

Worst mattress
Worst mattress. No back support at all, its saggy and soft. Made my back pain worse. I tried to return it, however they wanted me to fold it in half which is impossible. Tried to replace it atleast, but they made the process so hard, as they want a ton of pictures. Wouldn't recommend this mattress to anyone.

The mattress had a very slight smell when i first opened the box but this disappeared very quickly. The mattress is very comfortable and perfect for a slide sleeper. It's been about 2 weeks now and I've slept well every night. The delivery process was amazing - they really worked hard to get it to me ASAP and were so lovely to communicate with. I highly recommend!!

Comfortable bed
Very comfortable bed. I like that you cannot feel any springs because it is made with 2 different type of foam. Delivery is very quick, I ordered in the morning and came in the afternoon.

Basically/Actually Dunlop mattress with hefty premiums
We own a caravan park and 100% of our mattresses are high quality foam mattresses. Dunlop, Comfort plus, Palermo. Essentially 'Clark Rubber.'
We purchased a few Koala mattresses, from our 15 years of experience in the game, they are without a doubt Dunlop foam, Dunlop memory foam, which their Customer Service officer has now confirmed in an email received yesterday.

potentially hoodwinking the good people of Australia. You’re quite right to say that our mattresses are physically put together in the Dunlop factory. They are good people and we often have a schnitzel at the pub with them after work. Koala mattress is like sleeping on a layer of bricks.

I would not recommend buying one of these mattresses at all. I'll be ringing up for a refund Monday ...

you out a soft topper or, if you prefer, help to process your return.Maybe you should have the option to add a soft topper when at purchase... Might save the disappointment.

Good with some improvement to be made for those who like firmer beds
The mattress is quite comfortable and good quality. Looking forward to the topper, which might make the feel a little firmer. Otherwise, it's decent as is and the topper can also help with a softer feel if that is preferred.

A great supportive mattress an improvement on my previous mattress
Generally a supportive mattress but I have noticed a slight sagging and have had to turn the mattress around. I also feel the need for an extra topping pad for increased comfort and sustained improved sleep.

Body impressions (where your shape is reflected in the mattress) are completely normal in all types of modern mattresses, including the Koala mattress, and you shouldn’t be alarmed. These occur over the first few months of use where the comfort layers on top of the core are settling to the body weights and most common sleeping positions used on the mattress. We recommend rotating your new mattress over the first few months of use to help create more even settling of the comfort layers especially where there are two individuals with different sleeping styles or weights using the mattress. We’ve tried other types of mattresses and been disappointed until now.

Best replacement mattress for our teen son
This is our second koala mattress. Our sons inner spring 3 yo mattress had already failed and we were so happy with our Queen koala that we got this one for him. It sits well on his ensemble base and supports him well. He has not complained and it is maintaining its shape and firmness perfectly as we had expected given ours is 3 yo and is still like new. It is a fraction smaller in size than his other mattress was but that isnt causing any issues at all and his bedding actually fits better.

Do not buy if big and tall
- partner and I are between 6ft1 and 6ft6
- both over 100kgs
- side sleepers, never gonna change that
- constantly sore upper back after sleeping on the mattress for more than 3 hours
- had the bed for 2 months
- deceivable after all the clever SEM marketing
- we both massage each other after sleeping which is nice but don't have the time to every day of the week
- If you are slight person or couple you will likely not have these issues.
- Never had these issues before koala mattress
Do not buy this bed if you are a big person aka more than 100kgs

I wish I purchased this sooner

Immediately Great

Such a better sleep
We have had our mattress for a couple of months. I liked our old mattress but I sleep much better on the Koala. I can't even tell when my husband turns in bed during the night. We have a hard base and we have not experienced sagging in the middle so far, which did happen with our old mattress (on the same base). It sometimes does get a little warm (not hot) but as soon as I turn over, it cools down again.

Biggest eCommerce disappointment that sounded just too good to be true
I thought I get myself a nice birthday gift and went ahead and ordered the Koala Slumber Set today for tonight's delivery. I did double-check with their chat operator on their promise to deliver within 4 hours or same day.
I placed the order using ZIP pay who confirmed the payment within a few minutes and I also got the order confirmation from Koala. When I left work earlier in order to make sure that I would be around for the delivery, I thought I might double-check if the delivery is on track as expected.

if you learn that nothing was at track at all. Apparently the payment was not cleared as I learned again from their chat operator confirming the delivery would not happen tonight. This is so disappointing and unexpected. They could have at least gotten in touch with me to advise. At the same time I have someone inspecting my current bed that I am trying to sell so I might end up waking up on the floor on my birthday instead of sleeping on the Koala mattress. This is UNBELIEVABLE. These guys should definitely stop their FALSE advertising and show some accountability for what they promise. Instead, they were advising that the payment issue is actually not their problem but ZIPs or ultimately mine. No willingness to fix the problem and make it work. They don't seem to care and seem to have enough customers...1 comment

Do I need to turn or rotate my Koala Mattress?
Like any mattress, it is important that you rotate the Koala Mattress from head to foot on a regular basis throughout its life to help create more even settling of the comfort layers and dispersal of weight throughout the entire product.
This is especially important within the first few months of use. The Koala Mattress has been designed so you don’t need to flip or turn it over as part of regular maintenance.
Is there a weight limit to using a Koala Mattress?
The mattress has been tested with several weighted dummies, up to 240 kg (530 lbs), and is suitable for most, if not all body types.
Why do I feel hot when using a Koala Mattress?
A foam-based mattress warms up more in comparison to conventional, spring-based mattresses after some use. Koala recommends changing the fabric type of your bed sheet or fitted sheet if you feel warm.
Do I need a bed base with a Koala Mattress?
A Koala Mattress works with any bed base type, including slat and ensemble bases. Koala recommends that you do not use your mattress directly on the floor for hygienic reasons.

Nowhere can I find anything relating to the weight of a person. This must have a large effect on the type of mattress, the firmness and the length of time it takes before considerable sagging occurs, and the above physical conditions mentioned occur, considering the many hours a person spends sleeping on a mattress. Its personal information, but so is telling others via reviews that you have a bad back or neck. When you visit a medical person, weight is one of the main components of a persons health. No one knows who you are via these reviews.
Why is there not a standard rating provided by mattress manufacturers on a persons weight to assist when purchasing a mattress? Such as 30-50Kg, 50-70kg, 70-90kg, 90-110kg, and so on

I am looking at Koala for my new bed and just had a question about the bed base. I've had issues with mattresses moving on bases before, and I can only imagine a koala mattress on a flat wooden surface would move around too? Has this somehow been addressed or will the mattress move around? (if someone gets into the bed without carefully sitting down etc)

Koala do recommend rotating it 180 degrees every 6 months to make sure you are using the mattress evenly
