Smart TV that isn't smart
The TV won't work with basic apps such as iview or Netflix and you can't load iview or Netflix in the browser either, or rather it loads but won't work. Rang Kogan can't or won't help offered to send me an email giving me options. I am using a chrome cast as have no other option but what is the point of having a smart TV. Asked about a software upgrade but they said no cant do it probably won't release one at all. Very poor service extremely disappointed Kogan

Has a potato for a processor, not capable of being a smart TV
Pros:
- Good screen
- Works well as a dumb TV
Cons:
- Has a SOC that is way underpowered for the purpose of a smart TV (I would gladly pay $100 more for something decent).
- 512MB of ram is nowhere near enough memory, the whole memory pool is almost used up just running the operating system, no wonder everything is so laggy.
- Takes 5 minutes to bootup and be semi usable as a smart TV

- Cannot decode anything above about 480p, you will need to use an attached computer or a HDMI smart TV box. - Remote is very unresponsive (most likely due to the SOC and memory pool being undersized). If using this TV as a normal dumb TV it works fine, don't expect it to do any smart TV functions well, if you already own one I would recommend buying a android TV box and using that for smart TV functions instead.

Terrible TV!! Nothing but trouble!
I bought this TV for Xmas last year, needed to do a firmware upgrade on it within the first couple of days of purchase, the upgrade wiped the TV of its software and was left with a TV that did not work. Sent the TV away for repair, still not able to stream anything live, which is the whole idea of purchasing a smart TV. TV won't recognise and other devices that are plugged into it, and does not stream you tube, Netflix, or won't stream or play any apps such as live sport applications. It can only be used for watching television and for what I paid for this TV, I could have bought a far better television that would work properly from a retail outlet. Hope this saves someone he headaches I've had with it.

Get What you paid for - never another Kogan product for me
Why is it so many of us search for a bargain, buy something that is an order of magnitude cheaper than other comparable brands and then get all bitter and twisted when it fails... WELL THATS ME!
Having said that though, if you advertise a product that does xyz, then it is reasonable for consumers to expect that the product will deliver on the sales hype. This TV was OK for general watching and even the occasional 3D blueray, however the "Smart" part of the TV had an IQ in the single digits and was from the start..... useless. Even after I did...Read more

flickering screen
Received the TV quickly & loved everything about it for the first 10 months (it was a good product for the price), then the screen started flashing in the bottom right hand corner before completely dying just after the warranty expired. Very disappointed & will not buy a Kogan TV again.

Reasonable TV - you get what you pay for
I originally bought the 55" borderless LED TV. Worked fine for a few months before developing issues with the picture (massive white/pale patches in dark scenes).
I contacted Kogan who arranged for the TV to be picked up. The pickup/delivery was a real headache but this is Toll's fault, not Kogan's.
After having my TV for a few days I was advised that it was faulty, out of stock and therefore unable to be replaced in the short-term until new stock came in - but that I could get a similar item of similar value. I picked the KALED553DSMTZA....Read more
Honestly it's a solid TV for the price you pay. 'Smart' TV's are a load of junk - get a computer/smart phone! These features are only ever basic and limited IMO. A TV cannot replace your desktop computer! Picture quality is decent. My only gripes would be the lack of customisation available to the user as I prefer to adjust more settings, and the previous 55" borderless TV allowed me to do so but this one does not. I watch most of my media files via external HD plugged in via my Blu Ray player - picture quality here is fantastic. The only time I hate the picture quality is trying to watch fast-motion sports such as AFL. The TV just can't keep up and the lines aren't crisp. Everything looks a bit fuzzy and hard to focus on.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Dissapointed
I've had nothing but trouble with this TV in the 12 months I have owned it I've returned it back 4 times, finally Kogan decided to send me another one only to have different issues. The picture pixels are all scrambled and make a high pitch squealing noise. I've now demanded for a full refund as the warranty will expire next month.

Worst TV I've ever owned!!
I bought this tv about a year ago and its been nothing short of a nightmare ever since.
TV is very VERY slow on any smart tv function, in fact most of them require the power to be turned off to unfreeze it.
Youtube freezes constantly then comes up with random colours and squares on screen and is unwatchable, again requiring a switch off.
Using an external HDD is difficult and movies usually jitter until you forward a scene with the remote then go back a scene to fix it up....even using the usb3 port its still slow.
Plugging in a webcam for skype does not work and even with a logitech C920 HD camera the picture is unviewable.

DO NOT BUY
This has to be the WORST tv I have ever bought! People who have given it a good review, what a laugh.
To start I ordered it in October, I didn't receive it till late January because there was "issues" with the delivery. It worked fine for the first 2 weeks. Other than that it is a pest. My tv has always had a black mark on the screen. This is due to some fluff under the screen. When I asked them to fix it they wanted me to send the whole thing back with all the packaging. I clearly didn't keep the packaging because keeping a box that fits a 55" TV in it isn't small.
The smart function is a joke.
Laggy
Slow
Resets
Stops working
I don't even use it anymore.

I am disappointed poor software, unstable at times, not a smart TV at all
Good picture quality and poor software, wont play IView or SBS ON Demand and Kogan should state this in their information. It is just 6 months old and is getting unstable. The Kogan Help Desk is not great and I bought a Kogan wireless keyboard which is little help as it stutters and is hard to type accurately. I aim to send it back.

Kogan Smart TV
Takes forever to start this TV up.. it's terrible. Do yourself a favour and do not waste your money. Kogan branded products are generally of terrible quality.

This TV was sent back
Firmware fixes some problems but not all. Smart TV buys are not smart as stated in an electronics tv. The smart software running becomes outdated, and mostly, after some years is abandoned, leaving you with just the TV part working as you want. The best idea if you want a smart TV? Use a small computer with TV screen as display and wireless keyboard. The smart part is a gimmick. As far as not being able to return it: If the firmware does not fix it, then its not fit for the purpose. ACCC claims on this are fully consumer supported. Of course manyfacturers will say otherwise but if you bought it for the smarts paid the extra, and it does not work satisfactorily then you have a proper claim....

Is not a smart tv
we have had every problem listed on this site, apps, time, recording, streaming, and the FRIENDLY kogan helpers keep telling us to use the firmware. YES!!! we have, ABC and SBS apps have the problem!!! no we have. Now, I want to return it and am showing my Husband this site to convince him to put it in the box. "Chat now" have told me these problems are not covered by warranty, you think so? How about Australian consumer Law? Product not fit for the purpose??

Now, Kogan are telling me that I cannot view the TV while my Husband is using his headphones. We checked this BEFORE purchase, now they are relying on the word VIEWING to mean seeing not hearing. Consumer Affairs here we come
Kogan have sent us a 2017 replacement TV, as well as a Chrome cast to connect it to the Internet. Kogan repaired the Smart TV 3 times out of warranty before admitting it was faulty. I agreed to take this review down, but do not know how

Not very SMART!
Have had my 47" Agora Smart 3D LED TV (Full HD) for 7 months now and I would not recommend it. The wireless is useless, connecting with an ethernet cable is not much better, firmware upgrade does not resolve issues (and I've upgraded firmware a couple of times to try this). The remote is very sluggish and often goes off on a tangent flicking back and forward between different screens. Even the EPG just simply doesn't work (won't update). Recording tv programs doesn't work either.
Used simply as a tv and more so a 3D tv it is not too bad (espec...Read more

Do not go near it
I bought my two kids a 46" Kogan LED TV for Christmas and when we turned it on all three of us simultaneously said there's something wrong with the sound - it was literally like it was coming from a tin can. After adjusting through the TV's settings the sound was still extremely thin, lacking any presence or bass to give it depth or body.
I presumed there was something wrong so got in touch with Kogan and had a real battle getting the TV returned. I was astonished when they told me there was nothing wrong with it and the guy tried to bamboozl...Read more

Not a bad little TV
Good screen quality, 3D worked well. Found that the Smart Android software was very sluggish and slow. Also my particar TV stopped working, Kogan however gave me a full store credit for my TV and all the accessories I purchased for it. Can't reccomend them enough for customer service!

Great Outdoor TV
I bought this TV for my patio. Has a great picture and, combined with the wall mounting, is great for entertaining. We make afternoons watching the footie, motor racing, cricket etc. sound is perfect for the space and, as it was such great price, I don't worry about the risk of theft or damage (remote as it is).
