Is it ok to get the underneath of the main bowl wet when cleaning it (like submerge it into the sink)? I can't see that the base (with the prongs) comes apart from the bowl. Thanks in advance
I have never done it but have seen it done with a Thermomix and put thru the dishwasher. I wouldn't do it as I break everything I touch.
Hi Macca,
We do not recommend submerging the main bowl as the contact points at the bottom should remain dry. However the blades can be removed easily for cleaning. ...

How do I select the dough setting on the KATHMXBENXA model of the thermoblend 2?
I haven't used it. The instructions were downloadable on the page where I bought it. Maybe contact kogan?
Hi Karen,
Please see the below steps to use the dough setting on the ThermoBlend: ...

Read moreany said this was not an issue. They said it gets easier over time and some say to smear oil around the seal but you shouldn't have to in the first place. I think they are trying to get out of admitting there is a fault.oh great, thanks for your comment. At least I know its a fault and not just me. We put oil on the seal as well but if fear of breaking the clip when you try and force it, I guess I won't use it as much as I thought I could.
Hi,
I have purchase the machine and when it plugs in the screen turns on but the on/off button isnt regestering, also the dials are not registering.
Can you please tell me what is wrong with it as there is nothing in the trouble shooting guide that says what to do? Can someone please email me [email removed]
Have you got the jug in place and pushed down? Once the ingredients are in and the lid is on it should work.
How do I use 'reverse' speed on my thermoblend as a lot of recipes require it and i don't have reverse speed on my machine?
Hi Henrica,
Thank you for your question. ...

You can manually swap the blades' alignment and this will fulfil the purpose the "reverse" function is designed to.The Thermomix recipes using "Reverse" are to use the blunt part of the thermomix blades. Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for your question. ...
Read more Speed 3-4 should do, but try it out and see what works best with the type of cheese you're using. Happy cooking!I received my Thermoblend Pro KATHMXBENXAA In Dec 16 and have had issues with the lid from the first day. Is there a fault with them?
I had a similar issue, and was worried that I would break the handle, but found that a little oil on the rubber seal worked a treat and the lid glides on easily. Love the machine!
Oil seems to make it just slide sideways. Made sure the seal is the right way and asked advice on discussion boards. Many kogans seem to have the same problem :-(

Hi Jack,
Thanks for your question! ...
Read more The 'E3' error message displayed on your ThermoBlend simply means that the motor has reached a temperature hotter than the recommended usage range. Read morehttps://assets.kogan.com/files/usermanuals/KATHMXBENXA-A.pdf The Mixing Tool is ideal for whipping cream or beating egg whites. It is also the perfect utensil for the preparation of creamy puddings or cream mixtures. The Mixing Tool is placed on top of the blades, and works with speeds 1, 2, 3 and 4. To remove it, hold it firmly by the upper part and pull it out with rotations in both directions. Do not use the Mixing Tool with the Pulse function. Warning: Do not use the Mixing Tool when kneading dough as the blades will become jammed. Downloaded the manual and read it from cover to cover. It does not have simple things like "how do i remove the jug from the base unit" and "how do I change the blades". It has so far taken me 30 mins to get the thing out of the packaging!!! 45 mins looking up how to get the jug off (no instructions, but I tipped it towards me and that worked), now I want to remove the chopping blade and repace it with the other one. I don't want to force it, but geeze it is frustrating.
Any tips?
There's a lever on the bottom of the jug. You push the lever across and it will release the blade so you can just pull it out. When you put the blade back in you need to push the lever back across to lock it in.
Also I think you must have downloaded the recipe book rather than the user manual. The user manual has the instructions on placing the bowl and releasing the blade etc. It's on page 7. There are 2 gui...

Hi. I am having trouble assembling either blade. In both instances we find it impossible to lock the blade into place even though correctly inserted. Took delivery of the Thermoblend2 on Friday and am still unable to use it. Have followed instruction manual. Help?!!
Hi JIC,
Thanks for your question. ...
Read more I'm sorry to hear you are having a hard time getting the ThermoBlend set up. Are you able to confirm whether the issue appears to be with the blades themselves or the locking mechanism on the ThermoBlend? The insertion of the blades should be rather simple so if they are not locking into place, it may be an issue with either the blades or the unit. I also suggest contacting our Support team directly, https://www.kogan.com/au/contact-us/. It would also be helpful if you were able to provide some photos of the issue or even a short video demonstrating the fault.Get an answer from our members and Kogan representatives
