Is it ok to get the underneath of the main bowl wet when cleaning it (like submerge it into the sink)? I can't see that the base (with the prongs) comes apart from the bowl. Thanks in advance
I have never done it but have seen it done with a Thermomix and put thru the dishwasher. I wouldn't do it as I break everything I touch.

Hi, I am trying to steam vegetables using the accessory on top and I have been unsuccessful. I have put 500ml of water in the jug, the temp to ST, turned it on, the light turns red then after a few minutes it turns off. Is there a step I am missing or is there something wrong with the unit? (the speed does work so the blades agitate. The bowl is on correctly even though it takes muscles to put the lid on!!) Disappointing so far!! Can anyone help, please?

Read moreany said this was not an issue. They said it gets easier over time and some say to smear oil around the seal but you shouldn't have to in the first place. I think they are trying to get out of admitting there is a fault.
oh great, thanks for your comment. At least I know its a fault and not just me. We put oil on the seal as well but if fear of breaking the clip when you try and force it, I guess I won't use it as much as I thought I could.

Read more Unfortunately the ThermoBlend does not have the function to engage the blades in reverse. You can manually swap the blades' alignment and this will fulfil the purpose the "reverse" function is designed to.

I received my Thermoblend Pro KATHMXBENXAA In Dec 16 and have had issues with the lid from the first day. It can take a few minutes of trying strength to get it on to the point it may break. We have even tried oil.
Is there a fault with them?
I had a similar issue, and was worried that I would break the handle, but found that a little oil on the rubber seal worked a treat and the lid glides on easily. Love the machine!
Oil seems to make it just slide sideways. Made sure the seal is the right way and asked advice on discussion boards. Many kogans seem to have the same problem :-(

I have the thermoblend 2 and what to make bread dough and the recipe says press the dough button but this machine doesn't have that option. So can any one tell me what the speed setting would be for kneading please?

To remove it, hold it firmly by the upper part and pull it out with rotations in both directions. Do not use the Mixing Tool with the Pulse function. Just got my thermoblend this week. Downloaded the manual and read it from cover to cover. It does not have simple things like "how do i remove the jug from the base unit" and "how do I change the blades". It has so far taken me 30 mins to get the thing out of the packaging!!! 45 mins looking up how to get the jug off (no instructions, but I tipped it towards me and that worked), now I want to remove the chopping blade and repace it with the other one. I don't want to force it, but geeze it is frustrating.
Any tips?
There's a lever on the bottom of the jug. You push the lever across and it will release the blade so you can just pull it out. When you put the blade back in you need to push the lever back across to lock it in.
Also I think you must have downloaded the recipe book rather than the user manual. The user manual has the instructions on placing the bowl and releasing the blade etc. It's on page 7. There are 2 gui...
