How do I select the dough setting on the KATHMXBENXA model of the thermoblend 2?

I haven't used it. The instructions were downloadable on the page where I bought it. Maybe contact kogan?

Kogan
RossKogan

Hi Karen,

Please see the below steps to use the dough setting on the ThermoBlend:

1. Set the Speed to 7, Temperature to 0 and blend for 30 seconds.
2. Change the Speed to 3, leave Temperature at 0 and blend for 2 minutes.

We recommend not to use the mixing tool when kneading dough as this may cause the blades to become jammed.

If you need any further assistance please don't hesitate to get in touch with us here: /

Hi, I am trying to steam vegetables using the accessory on top and I have been unsuccessful. I have put 500ml of water in the jug, the temp to ST, turned it on, the light turns red then after a few minutes it turns off. Is there a step I am missing or is there something wrong with the unit? (the speed does work so the blades agitate. The bowl is on correctly even though it takes muscles to put the lid on!!) Disappointing so far!! Can anyone help, please?

I have the same problem and even sent it back. Apparently there is nothing wrong with it and they returned it to me. When I do get mine on, there is a gap under one side but not the other but the company said this was not an issue.
They said it gets easier over time and some say to smear oil around the seal but you shouldn't have to in the first place. I think they are trying to get out of admitting there is a fault.

Donna M
Donna M

oh great, thanks for your comment. At least I know its a fault and not just me. We put oil on the seal as well but if fear of breaking the clip when you try and force it, I guess I won't use it as much as I thought I could.

Have you got the jug in place and pushed down? Once the ingredients are in and the lid is on it should work.

How do I use 'reverse' speed on my thermoblend as a lot of recipes require it and i don't have reverse speed on my machine?

3 answers
Kogan
RossKogan

Hi Henrica,

Thank you for your question.

Unfortunately the ThermoBlend does not have the function to engage the blades in reverse.

You can manually swap the blades' alignment and this will fulfil the purpose the "reverse" function is designed to.

Edward66
Edward66

The Thermomix recipes using "Reverse" are to use the blunt part of the thermomix blades. You can achieve the same effect with the Kogan thermoblend by taking out the sharp blades and putting in the blunt stirring device. The actual direction you stir your cooking doesn't generally matter.

Can I grind into flour with this product?

1 answer
Kogan
RossKogan

Hi Stella,

The ThermoBlend doesn't have a dedicated grinding function, however you can make rice flour by using the speed 10 settings for 3 minutes or so.

You can use this function in conjunction with a grinder such as a coffee grinder if you have one and the results should be good.

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for your question.

Speed 3-4 should do, but try it out and see what works best with the type of cheese you're using.

Happy cooking!

I received my Thermoblend Pro KATHMXBENXAA In Dec 16 and have had issues with the lid from the first day. It can take a few minutes of trying strength to get it on to the point it may break. We have even tried oil.
Is there a fault with them?

I had a similar issue, and was worried that I would break the handle, but found that a little oil on the rubber seal worked a treat and the lid glides on easily. Love the machine!

AAsq

Oil seems to make it just slide sideways. Made sure the seal is the right way and asked advice on discussion boards. Many kogans seem to have the same problem :-(

Hi, My daughter has a Kogan ThermoBlend and she uses it constantly. It is wonderful as she is gluten free and therefore is able to use the machine to make some delicious meals.
My question is: Where can you buy a replacement bowl as the handle has broken?
I am sending this request as a surprise for my daughter and so I do not know the model but could find it our.
Thankyou in anticipation Sue

Hi Sue,

Thanks for your question!

It does depend on which model your daughter has. If it is the ThermoBlend Pro, the jugs can be purchased here:
https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-thermoblend-stainless-steel-mixing-bowl/

If she has the older model, the jug would be subject to availability. If this is the case, you can contact our Support team on 1300 304 292 or at the following link:

The "Stirring Blade" and the "Mixing Tool" are different items. You can see the two different attachments on page 4 of the user manual:

The "Stirring Blade" also appears on page 9 right at the very top, above the "Mixing Tool".
