CordZero Handstick

I just bought the LG Master Cordzero and it was fine on both the carpet, rug and hard floor with the one floor attachment. Then I wanted to go over my fabric couch to remove pet hair (cats) and so I attached the smaller, power punch attachment which came with it because it looked like the appropriate accessory to use (and looked very much like my previous Miele vacuum's upholstery attachment ... and it DID NOT WORK! Was terrible and just pushed the fur around - the suction, when I put my hand against the unit was nearly non existent too. Definitely useless for this purpose. What does LG recommend I use to do the couches then? I looked online but couldn't see that a specific attachment for this purpose is even sold separately, if it was I would be happy to buy one.

I heard the warranty on the batteries is only 3 months. How frequently would you need to buy a new battery, I presume you can buy new ones. How much?

I bought the above 18mths ago and after six weeks it broke down and kept doing the same and after many trips to the repairers and no joy from the retailer I threw it out in disgust. I bought the Dyson hand stick and never had any problems. Good luck with yours

Hi I have just purchased the LG CordZero Handstick. I am happy with the performance but now have a sore neck as I don't think the pipe is tall enough for me. I'm 172cm tall which is average height. Can you get another extension pipe to make it longer

You can extend the pipe, there is a sliding button. I'm 6ft and works great for me.

I have extended it. Still feel it's not long enough

What's the specs of the charging unit...in volts and amps.

CordZero VS8404SCW (Lime)

Can someone advise what is the charger's specs? Volts and amps. Reason for my query is I recently bought a replacement charger which should have been the original charger ....so they claimed but it's been charging for 2 days and not fully charged.
So I checked the specs ...the battery requires 18v and 2.0amps.
The charger they sold me indicates 21v and 0.65amps. Hence the never ending charging.

Could someone who owns one of these vacuums kindly advise what your charger specs are so I can prove to seller they are selling incorrect genuine LG parts and so I can attain the correct one.

Thanks

So threw it out and bought a Dyson handstick. Best thing I ever did.

Have had my lg stick vacuum for less than a year. Seems to loose power and then stop. The battery is fully charged. Tried using the spare one and same thing happened. Don't know what to do. Have checked the usual, making sure no blockages and emptied container

This is the problems I'm having. Talked into buying the LG at the good guys Cockburn WA instead of the Dyson like I wanted.
Worst thing I did. Batteries won't charge. Had to go and buy a cheap vacuum cleaner. Tried everything to get both batteries to charge. Not sure why I would have to buy another battery I would have thought the batteries are a life time guarantee on the ones that come with the package. I think I've had mine about 12 months.

Had the same experience at JBHifi at Hurstville.....talked out of Dyson which I had for years to this LG one......BIG mistake. Battery dies after 5 mins - even when showing fully charged. Same thing for both batteries. Never again will I by LG

Yes you do, the extra attachments clip on to the docking station when not in use.

Yes you get several attachments. I’m loving it I vacuuming most days as it’s on a stand charging and so easy. It also has a booster setting for the carpet for a deeper clean and goes from tiles to carpet no problem. Hope you enjoy it.

And I clean forgot to mention in my review...I have three dogs and a cat! Who all live inside with us. The LG vacuum has no problems at all with the hair and fits under things so easily so under my beds are now spic and span. I couldn’t do this with the Dyson, it was too bulky. The LG was good for cleaning the car too...no more running out battery! I just swap batteries over when one runs down.

What happens when they batteries die, as in totally die, can you buy a new battery? Or do you have to buy a whole new cleaner?

If you can just buy a new battery how much does it cost per battery?

Our LG does have a spare battery and have had no need to replace one. I would assume you could purchase another one but would not know the cost

Yes I understand that they come as a standard with two [2] batteries. My question is, when the two [2] batteries die can I buy a new battery or do I have to buy a new cleaner? If I can just buy the battery how much is a single battery cost ??

Hi, it is very good on tiled and floor boards but we found that if you have a lot of dog hair to pickup, it will wrap around the brush and you'll have to remove hair. We also purchased a Dyson V6 and are using it at home and the LG CordZero is at our holiday house that doesn't have as much dog hair to pickup.

Chris from Perth

Hi Sandra. Unfortunately I don't have timber floors so I can't answer that. I can hear it scraping on the tiles so I'd imagine it might be a little rough on your floorboards. Sorry I couldn't help.

Sandra

Thanks for your replies. Do you feel the dyson is better for dog hairs ? I tested the latest dyson and although it picked up dog hairs it didn't pick up small bits of paper or small stones . The Good Guys sales person suggested the electrolux was better in general than the dyson, however reviews mainly said that the electrolux power faded after quite a short time, so I ended up thinking and hoping that the LG would work well...hence my questions...now I'm not so sure?

Michael here, how long do the two yellow batteries last for? as life long .

1 answer
KenMar
KenMar

I would say I get a good 15-20 minutes with each battery when turned on, I think this gives max power and cleaning.

We've also just purchased a Dyson V6 Handstick and moved the LG CordZero to our holiday house, our main reason was that the 2 dogs we have shed too much hair and this tended to wrap around the ends of the roller that eventually jammed the roller, but was easy to clean.

Overall, I NOW recommend the Dyson V6 or LG CordZero.

if it does brushing?

2 answers
KenMar
KenMar

Not quite sure what you mean by brushing? It does have a rotating roller in the front that spins very fast to assist in picking up dirt, fluff and pet hair. The roller isn't just a bristle roller, it has 3 rows of bristle brush and 6 rows of a firm plastic, (1 row of brush, then 2 rows of firm plastic) I think this aids in the roller not holding much pet hair.
