My washing is coming out with unusual stains. The bowl is spotless so I do not understand why. What can I do?
2 answers
I havent had that problem inspite of mixing colours with whites.and i have used different washing liquids with no stains.maybe 1 of your clothes is doing it.in my past washing machine i used bleach without mixing it in water first.that left white dot stains on my clothes.if y o u use powder instead of liquid make sure u disolve it thoroughly in hot water before putting in washing machine.
The first time I did a coloured wash with powder (I have always used hi quality powder products without any problems) I bleached my daughter brand new expensive blue cotton sheets and pillow cases. Expensive mistake. I now always mix the powder with hot water and wait until the bowl is almost full before I put it in the machine.
But as for the unusual stains, which could be fabric softener. If you do cold washes and use a fabric softener a wax like stains can happen. Don't use fabric softener if you do just cold washers. You might have to do a hot wash and a tub clean to get rid of the wax build up and even then there might be still some marks left. Fabric softener manufactures should make it quite clear that their products should not be used if you do mostly cold washes.

what does DL mean when its flashing on my lg 7.5kg washing machine wtg7532w
3 answers
My warning was EE (the first letter was E was incomplete with the top bar of the E missing).
The DL Stands for the Door (Lid) lock. Check the lid is closed and nothing is caught under the lid and then press the start button. If the little red padlock light is on the display then it is working.
THe EE warning is something you need to call LG about (according to the Manual)

How do I prevent a lint and soap residue on clothes ?
4 answers
If you're only using cold water try preserving the soap powder. Wash lint items desperate to other things.
Check the water level, make sure it's high enough to fully submerse the load in the machine. Keep towels and other lint producing items seperate from items that attract lint. Go easy on washing powder, in the wash cycle there should only be a small amount of suds, if it looks like a foam party, then you have overdone it. And remember to clean the lint filter (if you have one) and/or run a tub clean cycle every couple of months.
Hi Mel,
Like Paul said about the water -
I found that when I did not manually select the water height, and let the machine do the automatic water height, there seemed to be more soap residue on the clothes - especially bed sheets. Since, manually selecting the water height - I always choose 10 - and do a little less soap (like Bob), it's helped to reduce the amount of soap. Lint residue, I have found this mainly when washing sheets - have had to end up washing some again, and also sometimes, wash the sheet by itself.

There is no foam on the clothes when we wash the clothes inspite of pouring more than enough detergent powder. I used the machine twice. How to sort out this problem.
3 answers
i use front loader powder in mine so it dosnt foam up so much & it washers beautifully. You don't need it to foam up otherwise you will have soap in your cloths
I use liquid detergent and you don't get foam from this.
Maybe use less detergent, more is not better when it comes to washing powder. Also do you do cold washes and use fabric softener, if so the fabric softener will leave a wax residue on the cloths which can be sorted with a hot wash.

Where is the lint filter located?
3 answers
I went to Harvey Norman today and was told by the sales guy that there is no lint filter in LG WTG7532WH. The problem reported by Gabe from Sydney sounds more like a faulty product. I owned a Whilrpool top loader that did not have a lint filter and lint never clogged the machine. The only problem is that lint stays on clothes. Is there any one else experiencing the same problem?
I read the instruction and it does state that the pump casing needs cleaning which involves pulling out the machine and removing foreign objects from filter. Is this where the problem is for Gabe? I would consider it a bad design if I have to do it every 6 months as maintenance. It also says in the manual that this is only for the pump model drain hose. So if I choose the non-pump model, then I would not have this problem?
I just bought this machine today now I am worried!!!
called LG today, to my horror, all the LG WTG7532W distributed in Australia are the pump model. The users are required to clean the pump casing located at the back of the machine near the bottom next to the drain hose, once every month, according to customer service. So I have cancelled the order and go for a Speedqueen.
Do a tub clean every couple of months (or monthly if you do a lot of loads) Buy a washing machine cleaner satchel from your supermarket (coles and woolies stock them around the wool wash). then you only need to clean the sump now and again.

How do you do a quick wash with full load?
2 answers
I have not found a way. The shortest cycle i have found is still 1 hour and does not spin properly. Very frustrating. i emailed the company to ask how to set a favourite cycle but received a quote from the user manual - completely useless! I could see no point asking for more info.. Just keep trying different settings every load. Arrrgh!!!
Sorry Lauren, I don't know because I got a refund.

Just bought the 8.5 top loader our last fuzzy logic 6.5kg lasted 14 years this machine quick wash is 36 minutes but wont allow more than 3kg of clothes on this cycle why can't I set water level for more clothes on quick wash. Any ideas?
1 answer
Set to favourites.touch hot cold if you want warm which is best for dissolving clothes washing liquid.Set water level at what you want. Set wash at 3 for quickest. Set spin to ultra. Press start.Next time you use the machine just select favourites and it will repeat this without a setup.Hope that helps.

At this page on the www you can scroll down to AUTO CLEAN LINT SYSTEM where it states Your top load washer has a special cycle available just to clean the tub. Keep your tub in tip-top condition by running this cycle on a monthly basis to help remove detergent build-up and other residue.
On the basis of that I presume the idea of having to clean the filter is not correct. We mostly use our machine nos by selecting 1. Program quick wash 2.Spin high 3. Leave wash on three 4.water level 4 or whatever else just covers the clothes. It can be changed while the machine has started working. About 40 minutes. We are fully happy with the machine now. Did find out that liquid detergent gets an added bit of warm water and tipped into the bowl. The detergent holder is for powder and a technician advised us never to use powder in modern machines as there can be additives that affect the parts.
This machine does NOT have a filter of any kind, it left lint all over the clothes right from the first wash. By stating that you have to run a special cycle monthly to clean the lint out is admitting that this machine has a serious problem. Dark clothes are the worst for showing the lint, they look dirtier when they come out of the machine than when they went into the machine.
As far as i know there is only the inlet filters which need cleaning but from what i gather from these filters they are only going to cut out the sand that the water pipes bring in (not lint).
I would prefer the machine to have lint filters in it!!

Have just purchased a 7.5 kilo Top Load LG washing machine that makes a loud vibrating sound when pumping out water. This is the second machine in a week that makes this sound as the first machine was a demo model off the floor as no other machines in stock, went back to Domayne complaining about noise and lo and behold Domayne did have a brand new machine in stock. This machine is noisy when pumping out water.Does anyone else have the same problem ? Rang LG service in Newcastle but they do not have any experience with these latest machines and would charge me $132 callout fee. Next stop is back to Domayne then Dept. Fair Trading.

Yes their customer service is very poor. I have been told the same thing if they come and check to see why my machine is crushing everything so bad, I will have to pay a call out fee too. I put my machine on timer at night, so I don't actually hear the machine run, but I think if it was that noisy, I would hear it. Sorry I cant help, but I would assume this is not normal. No one seems to be able to help much in any stores about this model either as they say it is too "new".
Thank-you for your reply.Sent machine back to store of purchase and awaiting delivery of a Fisher & Paykel 7kg Top Load.Previous machine was a Fisher & Paykel 7.5kg Top Load which needed a new pump while under extended warranty, gave good service for 14yrs and only recently depositing a brown liquid into the drum. This brown liquid will not wash out of the clothes that was soiled so was from more than a brown water supply, also water was leaking out from under the machine-leak could have been from a faulty seal that only needed replacing but thought it was time for the machine to be replaced.PS Store has covered all delivery costs and had no problem returning the old machine and buying the new machine.

I have an LG & it never weighs the loads properly I put in a lot of clothes in & put the machine on heavy & on jeans & I know that the load is a water level of 6 or a 7 & the machine only shows water level 3 so I always have to adjust the water level which is so bloomin annoying, why won't it weigh the clothes properly?
1 answer
It's a water saving model so the clothes will wash on the lower level of water but it sounds like you are similar to me and prefer to use more water. I have noticed that when I'm too impatient to wait beside the machine and wander off to do other things that the clothes come out clean with the water level determined by the fuzzy logic cycle. I think it must be psychological but I like to see my clothes below the water line even if environmentally I should go with what the machine does.

How long are the washing cycles?
LWWasked
Brand new machine so have been watching it. It fills to appropriate water level but then spins off water and then does this again and then fills and washes on the 3rd go. Is this normal and if so, why?
2 answers
I have not noticed this, my machine fills up then just starts agitating half and half - starting the washing process. Sorry I cant help you more. I have had the machine a few months now and really like it.
Hi. I haven't seen this happen. All I've seen is some partial filling to mix the detergent then more filling to whatever water level is required.

We have an LG WTG8532WH 8.5 kg machine. My wife says it has a mind of it's own. It goes all through the washing cycle and does not empty and because of this it doesn't spin. It has to be turned off and turned back on to empty and spin. It takes an hour to do a wash, cannot use the short wash cycle. Uses a heap of water and time. Is there something wrong with the programme? Does it need to be reprogrammed? Thanks for any comments in advance.
1 answer
That sounds odd, mine does not do that. I just turn on the on/off button, then select my programme (usually cotton wash) and walk away. It does take just over an hour. I also use the quick wash for small loads, this works well also. But i do notice it uses alot of water, but that could be only because we can now see in through the glass lid! I wish it had a quick cycle for large loads though.
