Bad customer service at Mac Macarthur Square.

I have gone numerous times to Mac in David Jones Macarthur Square and never get served. Always get ignored. I was looking for lip primer at Mac today and I got there before these other two women which were served before me. I knew what I wanted but because the other two women were fussing around unable to make up their mind I was waiting 15 more minutes. Finally the sales girl acknowledged me and said she will be with me in a moment. Still waiting, so I finally left. It is not like they were even that busy, but there were only two sales people on, the other one busy fussing doing a girls makeup. I think Ill stick to ordering online. Love mac products, but customer service is extremely poor.

Appalling customer service - Sydney CBD

After waiting for 15 minutes to be served (simply to buy a foundation that I had the name of but that wasn't on display), I was finally able to ask someone to get it for me and did mention (very politely) how long I had been waiting. She proceeded to slam the product down in front of me and was extremely rude and dismissive. it was a busy time in the store but there were many staff serving. Second time I have had such appalling service there. Won't be going back.

Really Shocking Customer Service

ORDERED ONLINE and called them to say they had sent out wrong product - the girl was not interested and told me i must have ordered the wrong item by mistake.
After reading all bad reviews with customer service they have very big issues that need to be addressed from management down to staff.

I was not able to get my makeup done due to the store manager booking in 5 of her own friends for a free make over, I did speak with one another of the makeup artists who said that there is nothing they could do. It's common for the store Manager and 2IC to do this.



Foundation does not wash out

I am really disappointed that MAC has not responded to my email about their liquid foundation and how to remove this if it comes in contact with your clothes. I have had one top spoilt from a drop of foundation and cannot remove this. I have enquired at Myer but was told to use an oil based makeup remover. I have done a test on a scrap piece of fabric and again it made a permanent mark that I cannot remove with cold water. Most foundations can be removed very easily. If it makes a permanent stain then please MAC state this on your packaging.

Poor consumer care

Contacted consumer care to ask which of there foundation products would be recommended for bridal makeup which would include flash photography for a really fair skinned person got told to go in to a mac store and ask them. Which i dont live near any mac stores i would need to purchase online. When asked again after telling my situation was told to ring mosman store which is hundreds of kilometres away what is the point of that and wouldnt even send me a colour chart or anything talk about poor service do they want sell these products or not. Have decided to go with another high end brand who bent over backwards to help me.

Terribly slow shipping from online store. Poor customer service.

My order from MAC Consmetics online store took over two weeks to arrive, which is even slower than some international shipping services. When I contacted the customer service they just told me to go to Australian Post's website for tracking information. I understand MAC contracted Australia Post for shipping but this is the slowest parcel shipping method I have ever seen within Australia.

Went to Mac in Myer at parramatta first time for my daughter formal make up,at first didn't know what to expect, the lady call Amanda was doing my daughter make up she is so wonderful,Amanda listen first than pick out all the product, than she apply it on to my daughter and explain at the same time she is so professional and great customer service,my daughter was so happy with her make up,she made my daughter feel so comfortable we both couldn't be more happier .Great job Amanda keep up the good work .Excellent customer service .Mac you have hire one great young lady. M.A.C Opulash Optimum Mascara Crumbles Off After Few Hrs

Not sure if I bought "expired" mascara but it doesn't stay on for a long time at all. In couple of hours it just crumbles off and makes my eyes very sensitive as the mascara gets in the eye. It doesn't have the lengthening effect either.

Great products service not so much

I love the fact that cairns airport has a Mac store it's about time too, but how disappointing is the service sometimes...I stood there waiting to be served and watched the girl yapping away to her friend and not aknowledging me at all ... At least say I'll be with u shortly ... I got ignored completely I walked off shaking my head seriously they need to spend more time serving less time talking

MAC eyeshadow....packaging substandard

I have been a loyal MAC eye shadow customer for several years. The past two years, however, the round eye shadow container does not hold up. After about 1 - 2 months the lid cracks and the clear plastic covering falls out leaving the eye shadow unprotected. This has happened multiple times. The first time I returned the damaged product, I was given a replacement. In time the replacement also broke and when I attempted to return the item, I was told that they would only replace the eye shadow within the first week of purchase; which gave me to understand that they have had numerous problems with this packaging. The round eye shadow container is substandard, cheaply made and does not enhance the product. I will not buy this item again.

So I decided to conduct a test, one day I walked into MAC with no makeup whatsoever and browsed their products, not a single girl out of 5 came to see if I needed help as in MAC it is shameful to get your own products out of the draws. A few days later, I walked back into MAC with a full face of makeup as I had just come from beauty school. This time, 3 out of 4 of the girls came to my aid and asked me if I needed any help with anything! Now this test may have just been the girls working or who was busy or not but I have done this many times since then and the same thing continues to happen...

Bad customer service

I went to Mac at Macquarie shopping centre the one in Myer it was very quiet and there were 2 girls standing behind the counter. My sister and I walked in and they didn't even acknowledge us then 2 white women walked in and they were approached straight away and those ladies said they were fine didn't need help, we were still standing there and they still ignored us. Went over to Mecca and got the best customer service on the Nars brand make up instead. I won't be buying Mac anymore. Why should I waste my money on a company that is suppose to carry a wide variety of colours for all shades of skin only to not be able to get served cause of my skin colour.

Good products - Australian prices are a joke

MAC needs to revisit their prices in Australia. They have reduced their eyeshadows in the USA and Canada however we pay almost 3X as much for an eyeshadow. This is crazy!!

MAC Eye Pencils and Lip Liners

I love many MAC products, particularly the lipsticks, but the eye pencils and lip liners are awful. It takes a lot of effort to get them to draw a line. There are much better eye pencils and lip liners on the market. "Models Prefer" make great lip liners and eye pencils and are a fraction of the cost. Lipstick Queen is another great brand.

Terrible customer service

If you accidentally buy the wrong colour when you're in a rush at duty free and want to exchange the unopened unused product just for another colour at another store, think again!! Apparently this global brand has store specific stock levels and are unable to exchange any stock. When you are a traveller and are unable to go back to the original store this system is very frustrating. It is not general retail practice and the customer service of this great product is desperately needed in all Mac stores I have visited. It is unfortunate but I am strongly considering changing my makeup brand due to the terrible customer services.

Mac lip pencils NOT worth the money

Very frustrating to have a lip pencil that refuses to sharpen! Have used several sharpeners to no avail. Twisted the bottom piece to advance the pencil. Nothing. A waste and a frustration. Will not buy again.

Bad Customer Service

Went to stc Mac yesterday and the customer service was terrible, waited to cash out but everyone seemed busy although there was 15 of them standing around. Seemed like they were not organized for their busy season. Some girls took their customers and cashed out, others left the products with this other girl who wasn't too happy. Felt so disrespected when she cashed out. Never ever going there again!!!

Poor customer service

I went to Myer store in Brisbane to get some assistance with foundation from mac the person that assisted me seemed very disinterested. she yelled across the store to ask another staff member what colour I would be,told me my skin was very freckerly and my face wAs shiny. I told her I was a nurse and didn't want heavy cover for work she made a joke about me getting covered with body fluids. Overall it was a very uncomfortable experience I am in my forties and was made to feel I was too old for the brand. will not be using there brand in future.
