So much use, so little hassles

We were looking with no expectations. Found our XT15HR that fitted all we were looking for. 13 months and approx 6000km later, our only problem was an empty gas bottle after 6 months.

The Forbes 13 plus is heavy to me but for good reasond . It's construction inside and out is definitely heavy duty and the chassis has holes in it so you can wash the mud and dust out, it really well thought out and will definitely last us a very long time

Big new well fit out MDC warehouse in Perth, good customer service from helpful staff. We initially had a Robson camper which we were so impressed with that when we upgraded to a caravan we went to MDC again. Love the quality and price of their products.

Shocker absorbers on XT12 a problem.

Disappointed regarding shockers on my XT12 - on second set in 10 months and these ones are already leaking and u/s and cannot get, any after market replacements as they not a common size, currently in Qld unable to fix this problem. Have tried ringing the 1300 number but no answer

Great service - enjoying our new van

We purchased an MDC XT12 around 8 weeks ago. Due to a short timeframe between purchasing and when we needed it, we bought a demo model. We have now been on the road for about 5 weeks. So far we are loving the XT12 - it has everything we need for a comfortable life on the road, and has easily accessed all off-road locations we were keen to go. We have made some modifications and added some additional features (diesel heater, fans, TV etc). We have had a couple of small issues - 1 was with a could of items not being handed over on the day, but an email to the team and this was sorted promptly. Would highly recommend.

Good product bad management

Solar system wasn't charging so i left it with them for 2 weeks they blamed the fridge that wasn't even in there when i first noticed the problem, i have since changed it myself to lithium but it has darkened my opinion of them

We bought a camper which is good for what we use it for. We needed a couple of parts and have been waiting 6 months for. Been in multiple times with multiple phone calls and we are still waiting for parts. Like the camper but after sales is not up to a modern standard

Love our Jackson FF 2018

Ordered in Sept picked up Oct. Got a few unexpected upgrades,which was great, bigger gas bottles, bigger tank. Plus the new solar panels. We have just been away for 2 weeks and only issue was hot water system not firing up. But we will sort that out soon as it did work last time. We have been given the personal mobile of the Country Comfort representative to ring. We had a few issues with the rope lights when we first got them, but it worked out we just had to switch wires. People need to realise these campers are priced at the lower end of the scale and are great value for money. Adam was our salesman(Think hes at Wangara now not Kenwick) and was excellent. Cheers MDC..

Excellent Customer Service and warranty process

I had a fairly big issue about 6 months ago, was in the middle of nowhere in WA. Most at MDC or so at least I thought would surely be recovering from a sore head on the 1st of January. Long story short, Fernando (Perth Manager) managed to courier a new brake drum to my bush mechanic and I was back on the road withing 36hrs. Should the issue have happend in the first place ?? Thats one for another time, but the customer service and warranty support is top notch. Whilst we are at it, the Robo XTT is a great value bit of kit.

Can’t fault my XT12

We have owned the XT12 for two years and it has performed without fault. So far it’s done 7000 km and there is no sign of any issues developing. I’d rate the build quality as very high and can’t fault it.

April folded and unfolded the explorer forward fold camper for me with ease to demonstrate the unit .
Not until after the professional sales presentation did I find out that she broke her toe the day before on her day off !
Hats off to April !
Had me sold on the unit before I found out .
I pick up my new explorer on the 10 of this month !
After joining the MDC face book page I have seen that April is commended a lot on sales and after sales service !

Only used my Step Through Camper a few times. No dramas with the camper least it does it job!!!!
But when it comes to calling or emailing MDC they do no respond, they most of times never answer the phone. Have sent through multiple emails. Have rang over a week ago and they were suppose to ring back guess what they NEVER DID!!!!
Been ongoing for over 6 months, cant order parts, not reliable for sale enquirers.
SHOULD BE SHUTDOWN AND SAVE MONEY FROM TELSTRA CAUSE CANT CORRESPOND TO THERE OWN CUSTOMERS .
I WILL GIVE 0/10 FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
contacting Ombudsman, through out the week for further investigating.

We have just finished a mega trip in our MDC Cruiser Slide and couldn’t be happier with it. It took a hell of beating including two trips up and down the Birdsville Track without any issues at all. Well over 7,000 kilometres of some of the harshest roads in the country and it handled everything we threw at it. It’s an easy set up even in the dark with plenty of room for all the family. I guess the most important things to me are that I have total confidence to take it anywhere and it’s super easy to tow.

Hi Matt, your Jackson should have parallel axles so the inner and outer bearings are the same. The bearing code is 25590 and the cone is 25520. The seal is 55 x 85 x 12mm. Statewide bearings generally keep all these is stock. The castle nut is unique so if you want to keep a couple of them as spares contact MDC on 1300 494494

We have the XT12. The mains on/off power switch snapped off, the red plastic switch. How do we fix this?

It can be replaced if the shaft is broken. The panel will have to be removed to take the switch out and a new one put in.
