Very poor fireplace. Disappointing all round

published

We built a new house in 2017. We were advised to put one of these fires in. We wanted a built in fire so we could surround it in stone. The fire was installed and looks great. However. It would be lucky if it heated a 60 square meter room. It won’t stay in over night. Most of the heat goes up the surround of the chimney. Worst of all is in the morning when the fire has gone out, the cold air that is flowing out the vent at the bottom into your house is rediculous. Masport were no help when I rung them either. Don’t waste your money

Purchased for A$4,500.00.

Poor water heating

published

The air slide control handle wouldn't fit and required rebending to work.. The heat output to room was great but after 12 hours running using dry pine and gum the water was barely luke warm. So not worth the cost of buying and fitting the water heating option in my opinion.

This is an installation nightmare !!

published

Very excited about our new fire - can't wait to 'fire' her up. Just about there with the installation and hours of trying to work out why the fascia won't fit in with the slide control !!
Go online for more comprehensive instructions and find out its standard issue.
After a $3300 investment and Glendale Warehouse doesn't tell this and even more infuriating is they sold us this model - we'll now be chasing up the correct components when we could be cuddled up and cosy grrr

Very Dissappointed!!!

published

We replaced our Saxon with this model and found it to be poorly built, with no overnight burn, it rattles and pings a lot during operation. Door and facia are loose noisy and deteriorating. Has less heat output than our last heater. Talked to Glen Dimplex and retailer Joes BBQ's and no one wants to know us.
Looks good, thats why we brought it.
Terrible burn time, bad warranty and backup, tinnie sounding.
