most beautiful exterior and good for money
most beautiful exterior and good for money. my wife and I like the appearance as it;s really stylish. the power is just ok compare to previous generation mazda 3. feel last generation is stronger, and this one is not so strong when accelerate and making brakes. satisfy the exterior and interior design, which is the major concern for us to buy.

Love my new car
Loving my new Mazda. The car has all the features that all the new cars should have. Built in GPS with camera and red light detection which notifies me when I'm near one and on the path of the sensor and if I'm speeding and about to be over before I pass it. Only con is the car doesn't auto lock when I start driving.

Mazda has really dropped the ball on this model
As the previous happy owners of a 2007 Mazda 2 we bought a 2014 Mazda 3. We recently contacted Mazda to provide constructive feedback as we are dissatisfied with numerous aspects of this car:
- No reversing camera
- Poor acceleration
- Istop slows down takeoff
- High level of road noise
- Visibility driver blind spot
- Poor ride comfort
- Ugly radio looks like add on
- Poor speaker quality
- Poor suspension

Perfect for small families
Great car in terms of performance, only disappointment is the road noise. I wish there was a way to dampen this.
In car infotainment is starting to slow down after 3 years. Everything else still feels brand new. Lack of apple car play is definitely a negative, given that Mazda is listed in the Apple's Carplay website.

Great car
Great car, no noise overal good interior looks nice
Really affordable to run this car as one tank can last me a week
Only problem is when you open the back windows the car makes a lot of noise it could be the overall design of the car which should be fixed.

Reliable. Pleasure to drive
Just coming up to 3 years and not had a problem other than the battery recently went (Mazda even said they will cover the battery if it's within the 3 year warranty period). It's a reliable car, easy to maintain and fuel efficient. Sedan is a great option with good leg room at the back, fits plenty of shopping bags in the boot and if you take the back seats down, can even carry a bike.

Bang for buck
The car is very quiet and cabin noise is very low while driving. The interior of the Touring model is great, and feels premium with the leather seats and infotainment system. The dashboard has a sports car like feel, and definitely feels more premium than the price suggests. Performance wise, the car struggles up hill and with heavy loads, and you can really hear the engine struggling for more power. Handles like a dream however and is very quiet on normal roads. The iStop function is also a nice touch but annoying in start-stop traffic. Other ...Read more
points are that it's got little leg room in the back. Also i find the frame of the windscreen quite large so visibility compared to other cars (I used to drive a Camry) is a bit less. Takes a bit of getting used to.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best car in its price range - had one minor problem in 2 years of owning it
The SP25 trim is the best bang for your buck. 2.5L engine, 18" wheels, rear spoiler, push start, and keyless entry is mostly what you get for the $2k increase in price from the Maxx range, and $5k less than the SP25 GT range.
In my 2 years of owning this car, I've had one problem where I couldn't start the engine. Called RAC roadside assistance and they needed to give the battery a jumpstart - it seems like I parked close enough to my room, and therfore, the keys, which drained the battery. It hasn't happened again, so I hope it's just one off.
Other than that, I have had no problems with the car at all. It would be best used if you can find a well-maintained car with a responsible owner.

The best in its class!
Happy owner of a Mazda 3 SP25 GT. 0-100 in less than 8 seconds, city efficiency of around 7 per 100, best in class looks, best in class music system, touch screen and dial controlled infotainment system, adaptive xenon lights, day time running lights, massive 18 inch alloys, electric and heated seats, Bose audio system, leather interiors.... and the list goes on. The best car in its class.
Only dislike is the tyre noise on coarse Australian tarmac but then its got big alloys and fat tyres. The lower end models with 16inch rims are better at road noise.

Love everything about this car!
I have a 2015 Mazda and I absolutely love it! I upgraded from my mazda 2 and I find it has much more leg room for the passengers. I love the touch screen and find the maps included very useful. The car is so fuel efficient that I barely have to fill up. I would absolutely recommend this car to anyone.

Excellent
This car is an excellent medium sized vehicle. It has all the things you need, and then some. In built touch screen provides you with GPS, music, applications, fuel economy monitor, fuel consumption, service updates and engine details. Everything you need is a touch screen away.
The car handles excellent, and is super comfortable to drive. Very smooth. The road noise can be quite loud - if you're driving in silence. With the radio on a low volume, you don't even know. It's super reliable, and super cheap to fill the petrol tank. Very economical on fuel which saves you money for more fun things. Would definitely trade my mazda in for a new mazda in a few years, if the quality if still this good.

Love it.......but
Great car. However the MZD Connect system is getting a bit annoying. There is an identified issue with the system. I have had one fix, which didn't.... another one is due in a few weeks. But to buy the top of the range at a similar price, bit disappointing that the woman who let's me know that I am over the limit ( not by much, of course!) suddenly drops out, leaving the right (driver side) speaker silent with music still coming from the passenger side speaker. This also occurs whilst using sat nav, which can be problematic in some circumstance...Read more
s. And seems to be more prevalent after having either an iPod connected through USB or a connection to Pandora. I'm sure that it will be fixed, fingers crossed. As for the rest of the car......no regrets at all!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

What a great car!
After having larger cars for many years I decided to purchase a New Mazda 3 Hatch. I don't like Auto's in smaller cars so bought a Manual. I love long distance driving & the Mazda surprised me on a trip to Sydney, it felt like a bigger car, it's ride & handling was excellent almost equaling A Falcon G6E I owned previously. It generally has adequate power but I would prefer a bit more when passing etc. The interior is well layed out with plenty of room for feet, the Gauges are a little dissapointing, it could have a digital speed display & some ...Read more
bigger easier to read gauges. I'm not keen on the black interior as it marks very easily. It has a little bit too much road noise but I can live with that. The reversing camera is very clear & excellent. The boot capacity is also excellent & like a small station wagon when the seats are down. Overall I'm very happy, the car has been totally reliable & it's got good economy around town & on the highway.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Terrible windscreen
Car is good, noise pretty loud when driving above 100km/hr. Windscreen is the worst i have i ever seen, 2 chips with cracks now when rocks flew by. Very very fragile!!
I drove Ford falcon and hyundai icw30 in the past, rocks slammed on the windscreen, didn't even make a crack or chips, only very very tiny dint almost unnoticable with close inspection.

Great small car
We purchased the car new from Ipswich Mazda. Out of all the Mazda dealers, they were the most competitive and delivered the car to Glass House Mountains free of charge and with a full tank of petrol. We purchased the touring model and have been ecstatic with the purchase. 5.4 litres per hundred kilometers. The car does mainly highway driving. If you want a great deal see Ipswich Mazda. I couldn't rate them high enough.
We will be updating our Mazda this year and will be staying with Mazda. The tyres have just done about 60,000 kilometers and ...Read more

Mazda SP 25 Astina
Performance and handling is perfect. Noise does not impact due to the sunroof rather than open window.
A CD player needs to be installed.
Running costs are relatively inexpensive due to free first service.
This make and model compares well with some of the luxury sedan that pertains to other makes.

Perfect Compromise
“Every car is a compromise!” That is an axiom, which leaps most readily to mind, when weighing up the wants versus the needs in a car. Downsizing from a larger 6 to a 4, the compromises, you’d think, would be the most significant factor to consider, however, I found Mazda’s intelligent ratios of power and weight, when added to their silky smooth 6 speed transmission, helps overcome that kind of outdated phobia. As they say, “The proof is in the pudding,” and performance is not all, that is sweet about this car.
Instrument display layout and ...Read more
lashings of legroom compliment Mazda’s tech savvy interior, maximising driving pleasure and going a long way to eliminate driver fatigue. The dividend of the compromise I made in power, is far outweighed by the car’s camel type thirst for the liquid that keeps it going. 5.8 Lt per 100Km is normally a stat you have look for in a diesel, but not the Mazda 3, 2Lt petrol. It delivers this economy without laying a glove on a diesel pump. Economical running costs, geared to lifetime fixed price servicing, makes a formidable combination of reliability and driver satisfaction. My only disappointment is that the dealer did not invite me to test some of their higher optioned models. Leather upholstery is the first thing I would have opted for. And the sedan might have been a better option than the Hatch I selected, based on past experience. The additional space I expected the Hatch to provide, is absent in this iteration of the famous marque. If Mazda is listening, please make sensors standard on the front, in addition to those fitted to the rear. And ditch the joystick control, for a full touch screen operation of the electronics. Better night driving bulbs would be a nice improvement, too! Other than that, a very nice small car, for those like me, who now belong to this market segment.Similar opinion? Awesome car!
Bought this car late 2015 and really am happy with it. One of the nicest cars i've ever driven, has a quality interior finish and just feels solid. Only draw back is the cabin noise but i love to drive with the fan on high so dont really notice it. Highly recommend.

GPS very unreliable
The GPS in the Mazda 3 is extremely unreliable. We have a round about in our town that has been there for over 25 years. The GPS does not recognise it. We were told to update the system and have done this a number of times and it still does not recognise the round about. Some days it will tell me there is a school zone and some days it doesn't. The climate control system will read 5 degrees higher than it is, even when the car is parked in a garage or parked in the shade. The speed zone readings are not always correct. Again, the main s...Read more
treet in our town is 50km not 60km. It has been 50km for a number of years now. The GPS comes up as 60km. Again updated the system and still it reads incorrect. No use telling the customer service people as they are addament that the car does not have any problems with the GPS. They have not had any complaints about the GPS system in the Mazda 3. We were considering buying the Mazda 9. We will not now. Our next new car will be the Toyota Kluger.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

effecient car
Excellent performance and reliable on road with full comfort & relax with good steering
I like its dashboard however dislike the tiny legroom, they can enhance this cons by providing more space especially for big size people
its running cost is affordable and cheap compared to others of same category and reliable on road

Was wondering if anyone has had issues with the MZ Connect system? I have a Mazda 3 Hatch BM MY2015 SP 25 Astina. Just under a year of getting it new, the " your over the speed limit" woman started going silent, yet you could tell that she was trying as the right ( driver) side speaker would be off, with music still coming through the left ( passenger) speaker. And this would happen more so if apps like Pandora were active. I've had one fix, that didn't fix it. There is another one due in a few weeks but there must be more than one driver having this issue!

I haven't had any major problems, I just use the music connected to an iPod & the navigation, it has crashed a few times but generally works well.
Yes I had this problem. It started when I had a service in October 2016. Just had another service and it has stopped doing it thanks to them updating softare or just reinstalling whatever version is currently out. Hope this helps :)
Thanks
