No customer support.
Thinking its good to support local store over bunnings i phoned both my local store and one outvof town to purchase something in current calalogue No support from either or attempt to order item in.Rang their HO to complain and ask why i was treated this way Lady took details and after waiting 24hrs i phoned back only to be told they can't help either. Why would you advertise a product you cant deliver on supply. Very disappointed . Sorry last chance from me for local support.

Outstanding Personal Service
I frequent major hardware outlets, I will have say Mitre 10 Bayswater team are outstanding, on entering the shop you Will be approached by an assistant wanting to help you with your purchase, I find their staff polite, pleasant and they know their product, their opposition, it is almost impossible to get assistance, I dont mind paying just a little bit more for a great service

Staff with terrible attitude
Most staff are helpful but a few are incredibly ignorant, condescending, discriminating and defensive who need to learn basic skills in customer service, as well as management who can't manage and don't condone pack animal behavour. Do they not realise that it really puts customers off shopping their when customers have a negative experience.

Mighty Unhelpful.
I went to the Kunda Park Store earlier this month to purchase a garden hose advertised in their catalogue. I was told they had not received any, and I asked them to check if there was any at the Nambour store. I was told yes, they had one. But by the time I got there 10 minutes later it had gone. I asked if I could order one and pick it up at Kunda Park, and was told no. I didn't want to go back to Kunda Park as it was near peak hour traffic and the store is a nightmare to get in and out of at that time. So I went home and went to their website...Read more
to let them know what I thought of their service and asked them to arrange for a hose to be sent to Kunda Park. Still waiting for a reply. I also found that you can purchase the item online, so I did. Well, actually, I paid the money, but had yet to receive the product or any advice, so I rang the store to be told it had not come in and wouldn't be until at least next week as they only get 1 delivery a week. It's shocking: Last week I received a belt I bought on eBay 10 days after I ordered it. From China! Even if the hose does arrive next week it will take twice as long as the belt from China. Not good enough.

Mitre10 Ararat - appalling
While the staff are usually helpful, their focus is on tradies, and between a normal person, and their old mate [name removed], you'll be waiting awhile. Three times I bought products that were more expensive at the checkout compared to the shelf price. Twice I had to return to get a refund, twice told the manager to update the shelf prices to match the register scanned price. Last time I went back, the shelf prices were still 20% cheaper than the scanned amount. I told the staff that what they were doing was illegal, they had been told twice by myself when I got my refund. Not bad products, but watch for that old trick, $9.45 on shelf, $10.86 at register. Most people would not notice it. I reckon they bank on that.

Mitre 10 Sth Geelong review
Went to buy timber products this weekend and the staff in the timber section could barely be bothered helping us. They would do well to remember that they are not doing a customer a favour by serving them. This is the second time in two weeks that shopping at this store has been disappointing. Mitre 10 in my experience is not mighty helpful.

Fantastic Service from Kincumber store
I went to the store to buy a bbq I thought I had thoroughly researched online.
When I arrived I was promptly attended to and given the current information on the brand I was looking at and realised the info I had was a couple of years out of date.
I walked out with the bbq I really wanted and experienced great service.

Great service
My husband and I have bought everything from timber, power tools, plants, homewares etc since moving to the Bega Valley 2 years ago from Canberra. Our local Mitre 10 might not have the range of the big hardware stores but we have found the staff friendly, helpful, proactive and knowledgable. Considering the size of the stores they do a great job providing a good range of products. Well done.

Limited stock and very expensive
Most every time I go to Mitre 10, I end up going to Bunnings, as Mitre 10 either don't have what I need, and/or are very expensive.
There's the occasional item/s that are good value, but in the main, why would you?

Very bad service!
I spent over $40,000 at mitre 10 on frames and trusses. The quality of timber was very average, parts of the frame were not in accordance to what I specified and on the plans. Then when I asked for them to fix the problems they made excuses, they ignored me and then told me they couldn't help. Once you pay them they don't want a bar of you. Great service mitre 10! Never use these guys...
I shop at Bunnings as well and any problems I had I asked to speak to the manager of the store and they helped to solve the situation. I highly recommend Bunnings over mitre 10.

Bunnings offer better service
I paid for outdoor furniture and I got the floor stock delivered which was dirty and faulty. I had been told new stock was at the back and that would be delivered not the floor stock. Will be shopping at Bunnings now. Very disappointed. They delivered on the wrong day as well and I wasn't home.

Kingaroy Mitre 10 - still poor customer service and expensive.
As there is only one hardware store in town there are no other choices. Customer service is very poor, usually staff are standing around having personal conversations and not attentive to customers. A lot of products are either mispriced or shelf prices are missing. The store is not competitive, I now usually wait until I visit the coast and go to opposition like Bunnings! I shake my head each time I am forced to buy here, I think that's part of the problem. The last time locals provided poor feedback management identified they were fixing the problems with the store like poor customer service. Nothing has changed!!! Reviewing other comments on this site, it seems this a common problem.

Not delivered the ordered quantity. My credit card has been charged the amount more than the order price without informing. When called sales person agreed to call me back after checking with his manager and never responded. Chasing after two weeks their manager's response was more funny. Now I have to go to Bunnings to order the balance quantity. Time and money lost.

Rude customer service
Today at mitre 10 Eden I was treated like a second class citizen staff made a huge drama over nothing spoke rude and loud so other customers can hear.
I will be going to Pambula mitre 10 from now on.

the customer is always wrong
i bought a whipper sniper and after a few time using it there was oil coming out of the exhaust, i took it back and the manager told i was mixing the fuel wrong, which was to factory specs, after explaining this he said your doing it wrong, ?, he blamed me for the fault, i had another problem with an incomplete product and he would not have a bar of it, i had to go to the manufacturer to fix the problem, i will no be going back,

Customer Service to women
Wanting external paint. Helpful to start with but other staff making disparaging comments about purchase, then when I'm trying to ask questions the blokey bloke staff all talking over each other & taking no further notice of me the customer. Left feeling peeved at the way some men treat women shopping for hardware. I've been before & had great service so depends on the staff working on the day.

Disgusting
Found the staff very unprofessional. I couldn't get service at the local store here in SA, but let the man call and magically the product and customer service appears. When I tried to speak to the manager about it he was so rude. I will never shop there again.

Don't go to Peakhurst mitre 10 for paint when the old guy is working
He hides when you are trying to get served and stands and points instead of actually helping. He mixed some paint in a half tint for me, after I chased him down in an empty store on a week day. Only he didn't do a half tint. Thanks a lot [inappropriate word removed], now all my bedrooms are painted in full tint. He didn't write his name on the can like was supposed to, probably because he is not proud of his work. 8 years he told me he has been there.
Those 10L cans of paint? Don't expect him to actually help you carry them with your rollers and other accessories.

3 Star rating is still better than a 2.5 star rating.
At the time of me writing this review the facts are that Mitre10 gets a 3 star average rating but Bunnings only gets 2.5 stars average rating.
Sure Mitre10 might not have quite so an extensive range of products when compared to the Bunny Shack but the level of customer service you receive is far more superior and respectful. Like most people if you give me bad service in your store don't ever expect to see me again. Mitre10 service has always been fantastic whilst the bunny shack is full of well.....just bunnies.

I think just open your Cart and find the X next to the item you want to delete and click it, I won't be using Mitre 10 Click & Collect they are pretty hard to Deal with specially if you want to Return something you don't like.

Personally I have always tried to support Mitre 10 as the "little guy".
But having just been arrogantly ripped-off by Mazzegas Mitre 10 Kelmscott, I am going over to Bunnings.

Mitre 10 have yet to discover the secret of satisfying their customers. I have found them to be rude, arrogant, expensive, poor quality and treat you as if you should be grateful they exist. I don't believe they will last too much longer against the newer more customer focussed stores.
