A reasonable store with a reasonable range of products with a middle range price. Staff are reasonable and parking sufficient.
A Mitre 10 store is the nearest hardware store to us so if I need something small and dont feel like travelling the extra time to get to Bunnings I will go there. The store is clean and airconditioned which is a definate plus. Mitre 10 has a reasonable range of products and whilst significantly less range than a Bunnings still has sufficient from which to choose. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Based on our experience of late not all staff have a good grasp on product knowledge and knowledge that would enable you to compare similar products.

I have always found the choice of goods to be good. My husband prefers Mitre 10 to Bunnings. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. They help you without you having to ask.
A fabulous hardware tore that stocks much more than just hardware goods. Its great also for household goods too and outdoor furniture and accessories, and i have found the choice to be good.
Our Mitre 10 only has a small garden centre, which i would like to be bigger. I dont like the way they refill your BBQ gas, I would rather they just exchange it for another one as its quicker.

our mitre 10 recently closed down not sure if it had anything to do with the massive bunnings warehouse than went in across town. our mitre 10 staff were always friendly though and very local, very helpful for any DIY jobs you needed help with.

We have huge Mitre 10 stores here. They have absolutely everything. They are open all weekends, even public holidays. Good specials and helpful staff. One of their best features is that they hold workshops, for adults and children.
The kiidies workshopsd are great and my daughter went to one where she did wooodwork.
Mitre 10 have large, clear signs to show where various goods are. They also allow charities to run bbqs outside the main door. Mitre 10 suplly the bbbq and gas. My daughters swimming club have one of the bbq contracts and we have found Mitre 10 to be very helpful.
My favourite,all time hardware store.
Never had a problem with Mitre 10.

Mitre 10's service to me is wonderful and that is one of the reasons that I go there, they even carry the heavy items to my car and the put them in for me and I do not even have to ask, now that is service. They may not have every item that you are looking for, but take a second look because usually they can assist anyway with something very very similar. I like Mitre 10 and thankyou.
That they all seem to want to help you and they do not ignore you (and I am a woman and in my fifties).
I have nothing at all to compalin about.

The staff seem to be better trained than at Bunnings. Mitre 10 needs to ensure consistent quality across its franchised and company-owned stores. Why for instance can't its Richmond (Vic) store have a newer roof: it looks unattractive. Surely this must dissuade shoppers from a repeat visit.
I have never had unfriendly service at Mitre 10, and have usually found what I want at a reasonable price.
Stores like Richmond (Vic) can be old and run-down due to it being run by a franchisee. Sometimes items are out of stock. The range at the smaller stores is obviously limited.

all of the negative points I hae raised are probably due to thm having to cut costs as the big mobs try to push them out, this is why we should all support them as much as we can, and be understanding as to the reasons why these things are happening. I have shopped at the bigger mob, but feel guilty every time
they are independent and I do liek to support them to keep competition healthy & stop another big company from squeezing a small one out
not enough lines of goods, can be out of stock too often & have had to wait qhite q while for service

Generally better than Bunnings - a lot of kids work in the Busselton branch - probably a wage thing as Bunnings must hurt them. Prefer to shop at Mitre10 anyway as they seem to appreciate you as a customer.
It's not Bunnings!
Limited range, a bit exxy.

We have a large Mitre 10 here at Port Stephens compared to the other hardware stores, they have a good range of products and paint however its not my first choice in Hardware stores.I found the staff seemed to follow me around the entire time I was in the store as if I was a shoplifter, found it unnerving, prefer to browse in peace and quiet. Not in a good position in our area.
Nice roomy Well lit shop.Huge range of items, helpful staff.
Prices are higher than Bunnings for same products.Staff seem overhelpful, make me felt like they thought I was a shoplifter.

The prices are comparable to any where for a non trade account, you get good follow up service, and the toilets are clean!
the garden centre staff are horticulturalists, the pa is not overbearing, very professional in dealing with a faulty item. efficient check outs.
lately there are too many 19 and 20 year olds, especially in the late afternoon. they are very helpful and give their best, but the broad experience of mature age workers is always better. And I am not really biased, but if you actually knew what a working day was like for a timber yard worker in a builders hardware/retail store consisted of, and the breadth of their knowledge and skills, managers might pay them what they are worth.

We go to Mitre 10 at Beenleigh if we need something simple in a hurry. But they dont have much range and can be quite dearer than some other places so if we want to have a look at a range of different things we go to Bunnings instead. The paint section have been good on only a few occasions but sometimes I grow old waiting there to be served. They really need to get some more staff on and it is annoying when you have to wait more than 20 minutes to ask one simple 30-second question.
Good service
Not many products, more expensive and the paint section need more staff.

they say they are helpful but when it came to the crunch I was hard pushed to get some solid advice. The person who dealt with the department I was in was not availaable and no elses had any idea about the stuff. Cross train staff they need to do more or maybe it was a bad day for them. No I went back the next weekend and it was the same maybe not available means we have no idea what to say. Oh well back to bunnings even tjough it is and extra 10 minutes drive from my place.
plenty of choice probably to much
staff only so so, hard to get help

How do I delete items from click and collect

I think just open your Cart and find the X next to the item you want to delete and click it, I won't be using Mitre 10 Click & Collect they are pretty hard to Deal with specially if you want to Return something you don't like.

Wondering why people often choose to shop at Bunnings over Mitre 10?

Hi Shannon,
Personally I have always tried to support Mitre 10 as the "little guy".
But having just been arrogantly ripped-off by Mazzegas Mitre 10 Kelmscott, I am going over to Bunnings.
You can see my full review as to the circumstances: /r/mitre-10/564194.html
Mitre 10's corporate conscience is broken from management through to staff.
Regards,
Andrew

Mitre 10 have yet to discover the secret of satisfying their customers. I have found them to be rude, arrogant, expensive, poor quality and treat you as if you should be grateful they exist. I don't believe they will last too much longer against the newer more customer focussed stores.

Mitre10 stores are each individually owned and operated.
