Excellent unit (except the heat settings)
We got one of these for our unit for downstairs. It's a very power-efficient unit, we can run it all day on the Eco mode at 22-24 degrees and it doesn't cost a million dollars. The downstairs of our unit is all open-plan, and this comfortably cools down the entire downstairs area. As we have no ceiling fans downstairs this is really a must-have for the summer months. The remote control is easy to understand and use. Never had a problem with it. Runs very quiet on eco mode, but if you bump up the fan speed it can be a little bit noisy (not in a ...Read more
bad way though). Settings-wise it has a lot of different functions available. We haven't really used the heat settings, but in the past when we have, we have found that it makes the area around the unit quite humid so we don't tend to use it for that in the winter months. It was very easy to install the unit (we did have someone do it for us) but it was a quick and simple process and didn't require any excessive work to fit the system.

Quiet & powerful unit
I bought this one for one of my investment properties. The old one was not working properly, so had to ask the installed to take it away. I used to use Mitsubishi aircon, and knew the machine would not disappoint me. This machine is working perfectly as what I expected. Good choice.

Cools the room in only a few minutes! No dry aircon-hangover!
I'm not very fluent in conversations about aircons but this aircon is awesome! It cools quickly, its settings are easy to use, you can set it for peak heat. I like that it's almost completely silent. My dogs sit under it during 46 degree days and it is relatively energy efficient. Our is a hyper inverter...I really don't know what that means. I usually get sniffles when I sleep with air-con on (like hotels)...not once have I felt stuffy the next day! I think all round Mitzy is the way to go!

Very quiet Air con. Efficient.
It's second time around we purchase Mitsubishi aircons. Compared to Fujitsu, Panasonic we had before, it's the best. quiet especially when you have small kids/babies. & it's very efficient in terms of generate cold and hot air. Don't fee dry when you use them. We purchase 2 this time around in kid's bedroom and master bedroom. Installation is reasonable as well. Not as expensive as the bigger units.

Excellent airconditioner - quiet and energy efficient
Super pleased with this air conditioner. It is quiet, effective and energy efficient. I have been running this most of this summer and could not have been happier with the performance. Remote is extremely easy to use and temperature font size is large. Unit itself looks great, compact and well designed.

Excellent in hot and humid conditions
This product is placed in my bedroom and gets usage every day. I can’t sleep in a hot environment, so I predominately use the fan feature at night. I found it small but powerful for the air conditioning feature. It is quiet and energy efficient. I used to think air conditioners were expensive to run but have now changed my mind

Look no further
Have yet to try the heating performance, but cooling is great. Temp setting goes down to 16 deg C. Quiet and hardly noticeable, both internal and external unit. Was installed back to back with no hassles. Am accustomed to other brands with the Turbo/Power function and was disappointed to find out that the unit doesn't have it. However, I've found that on max fan and lowest temp, the bedroom cools down very quickly. No annoying light from the internal unit that lights up the room unlike other brands. Can't fault it.

rarely used but broke down
Bedroom unit for 2 years. very little use m great until breakdown. However the Warranty [5 year] seems to have kicked in and defective part being replaced, so well done to MHI for having a good warranty. Who ever heard these days of a 5 year warranty. The controller is so complex, needs a PHD to operate. We just like to set it simply.

Quite and cool the room very fast
Purchase this product in mid last year and recommend by my friend. It is quite quiet and you do not wake up due to the noise. My room is medium size and not take long time to cool the room. It has cooler and heater function and perfectly for me when do not have central heating. Just take time to understand the different options on the remote

Amazingly efficient
We live on stand alone solar power (no grid connection) and never imagined we would be able to run a split system air conditioner. Our solar power system is only 2 kw of panels, not a big system at all.
The Mitsubishi is spectacularly efficient, using around 500 watts most of the time, and as low as 250 watts once it has achieved the set temperature. It uses only about 500 watts to produce around 2500 watts of heating or cooling effect, which is amongst the most efficient units around. It also uses only 1 watt on standby, many other brands u...Read more
se 5 watts or more on standby, which adds up over time. It is also exceptionally quiet inside and out. we have the 2.5 kw model, the smallest in the range, installed in the bedroom only a metre from the bed and on the lower fan settings it causes no sleep disturbance at all. (I have tinnitus, ringing in the ears, and I find the slight fan noise actually helps distract me from the tinnitus, helping me get to sleep.) There is even a "quiet mode" where the fan is almost inaudible, but that cuts the performance down a fair bit. The remote is reasonably clear, it is simple enough to use and the screen is a good size, but the little symbols on the remote control screen are very small and all look the same, so I need to put my glasses on to use it. Bigger symbols would help. It has a good feature that you can set it to come on at a certain time, or stop at a certain time. But you have to set it to do that AT a time, it is not a count down timer. So if it is midnight and you want it to run for an hour while you get to sleep, you have to change the OFF time from wherever it was set last time you used it (which may have been 4pm for example) round to your desired off time of 1am. It gets annoying when you have to find your glasses, check the time now (midnight), and reset the stop time (1am). It would be so much easier if you could just set a countdown timer ( tell it to cool for 60 minutes.) Anyway, first world problem...Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very Quiet
I have only had it a few weeks but I am impressed with this A/C. What amazed me was I was on the balcony near the compressor and thought is was not working because I couldn't hear any noise. I looked inside and it was working, very quietly. So if you have a situation like me where people complain about noise, this is a product to consider.

Easy to set up and quiet
This air con replaced my old Fujitsu units .... it is smaller and more compact and more energy efficient and also uses a refrigerant that does not affect the environment - major plus ! The remote is pretty big - not so great, but that's not the most important thing - it is quiet and does what it is advertised to do

Just's Keeps Going
!7 years and still going!! that's right, still cools and heats after all this time.Super quiet too, but recently i had to increase and decrease the temp selection on heat and cool by a few degrees..to get better heat and cooling. Its probally an indicator that it may be time to upgrade soon..Definitely purchase another!

comes with 5 year munufactors warranty - pretty impressed
We got this for our investment property in Brisbane. As you can imagine the aircon is on a lot and gets a good work out. this aircon had really good reviews but also came with the 5 year manufacturers warranty. This was the cherry for us as it gets used day and night and if anything happens in the next 5 years we are covered. So far no complaints and looks nice too.

good a/c
Got it installed in the last summer and since then it's working as expected. Nothing much really stands out. Noise level is okay. Cool down the room really quick (note: It's only a 3*3m*m small bedroom)
The only thing I don't really like is the looking. It's not fashion, probably a bit ugly. But it is working fine.

Best brand by far
We have 2 existing Panasonic reverse cycle units (2.5 in master & 9.0 in lounge)
The reviews here indicated Panasonic were the best
We ended up buying 2x 2.5kw units from Harvey Norman as the units were smaller to fit into the bedrooms than Panasonic. We bargained down $100 per unit off RRP (down to $799 each). Now I have a direct comparison between Panasonic & Mitsubishi Electric, hands down Mitsubishi is much much better in all aspects
Noticeable difference would be the power the unit pump down on hot days, honestly felt like my 9.0 unit downstairs the sheer thrust. Best part they are super quiet and installation is easy (back to back install).
Couldnt recommend more!

Questions & Answers
Bill Casked
I bought two GL25 units for two bedrooms of my house. The cooling starts to work very quickly, but the startup of heating takes more than 10 mins. If its normal or a design problem?
2 answers
I think it's normal. I have a same issue.
Hi. Depending upon the ambient temperature, it may take longer to heat the indoor unit coil to the right temperature prior to starting the fan. It will also not run the fan above low speed until it is satisfied it can keep a certain air temperature.
All inverter units start their compressors at the lowest speed and can take around 7-8 minutes to reach normal full speed. The other factor which can effect heating startup is the length of pipe run between indoor & outdoor unit. The longer the run, the longer it takes to reach "normal" operation. Hope this helps.
Nazasked
Can someone please confirm whether this 2.5kW unit has only one vent panel at the top and there is a gap at the bottom or it supposed to have two vent panels?
Thanks
1 answer
I've just had one installed today in my office at work and it definitely has 1 panel only, leaving a gap at the bottom. It's a little weird actually, but as I haven't even turned it off yet, I hadn't noticed myself. It's early days for me, but I'm thrilled so far. It's doing its job very well, and very quietly.
