Bang for your buck
Hello purchased this vehicle as a family commuter.
The good points economical, value for money and a lot of extras for a standad SUV.
The bad points a little under powered, thin body (dents easy) and a bit noisey.
But overall a good vehicle. would comsider up dating to a newer model.

Best choice for a family SUV with good towing
A pragmatic choice for a family. Everything just works and there are no mechanical failures with the 2015 Outlander, which I own. It has got plenty of space and surprisingly good fuel economy. The interior and the facilities are quite good. But I feel the styling could be improved to be on par with the competition such as the Mazda CX-5.
Comfy to drive and the CVT transmission is better than I thought. The engine packs a lot of punch when you are on 4WD mode. Mine does about 10L/100km in city and 8L/100km when doing long distance trips.
Extremely happy about my choice. No reason to upgrade as of yet.

Chugs along.
I have a 2013 Outlander, mechanically the car is quite good and there's really nothing much that has caused a problem except a reoccurring inclination to blow its headlight bulbs. The interior is large and extremely handy at carrying large loads. On the weekend I cleared out a house taking countless boxes and a fridge....the car has also carried a washing machine so space and the flat floor is excellent for carting goods. The one thing I hate about this car is the seats, they are like a rock and uncomfortable. The front passenger seat is on a...Read more
lean which means the unfortunate traveler feels like they are sliding out of the door. Spare parts are quite reasonable, I amaze at the cheapness after owning a Renault. Fuel economy is also really good, for such a big car the Outlander is miserly on fuel. Handling is really good and sure footed. Brakes are OK, when applied in an emergency though the ABS feels like it's trying to stop a bus. The FWD is very good on dirt roads and the odd paddock as is the ground clearance. I like the chunky solid feel of the car, the doors are weighty yet it is easy to park....the turning circle is unbelievably good! Apart from the seating which may be rectified by buying a more up market model there is a lot to like about this car. It isn't a thrilling vehicle to drive but it does everything with little fuss and chugs along faithfully.

Outlander, you will be missed!
We owned a 2013 Outlander (2L petrol manual, 2WD, 5-seater) until recently, only giving it up because we needed to upgrade to a 7 seater automatic. It is a no frills, highly functional SUV that does what is required with no complaints. The price point and fuel efficiency are excellent. The car is highly maneuverable for its size and it is fun to drive but without the reliability issues of say, a Jeep. It is not the best looking SUV out there but it is not bad looking, especially in the dark blue. It probably needs a little more guts in the engi...Read more
ne department for its size. The engine does tend to rattle a bit and it is not the most refined drive. Even though the ride is not as comfortable as some of the higher range SUVs and the middle seat in the second row is a bit of a squeeze (especially when you have 2 child seats in the back), we had no problems in the 5 years that we owned it. Great visibility all around the vehicle and parking and zipping around for school pick up is a breeze. You could say it’s a great family- friendly SUV for the budget conscious.Similar opinion? Good-sized car, good on fuel, but sometimes shocking customer service
Good-sized car and very good on fuel and comfortable to drive.
We've had this Mitsubishi Outlander 4WD (a new secondhand car) for 2.5 years now and have had an intermittent problem with the car the whole of the time I have had it. It gets stuck in low gear when taking off quickly in tricky driving conditions and won't change up. The car has to be stopped to resolve this which is potentially extremely dangerous. The reverse camera also comes on intermittently when driving forwards in drive gear. Both issues I have found to be dangerous and dis...Read more

I Love this Car
Have had this car just under a year and absolutely love it.
Large car, without being too large to park. Amazing amount of space in the boot, including some hidden bonus storage. A smooth, quiet comfortable drive. Quality interiors and accessories, even with the basic model, Android Auto functionality is great for both navigation, handsfree calls and messages and music control. Very fuel efficient for a bigger vehicle also. Love everything about it.

Good value
We found it to be good value compared to the same type of cars. We had it for almost 5 years and had no problem with it although I only drove 33000km as my office is very close to home. So far I am quite happy with it and would recommend to others with a budget.

Love this car!
Bought this car new 2 years ago and love everything about it. Quiet, smooth, economical, quick when you need it... ticks all the boxes for what I need in a car. No outstanding features compared to it's competitors but the price is far more favourable than cars that have no where near the reputation of Mitsubishi.

Great so far and has been reliable
I purchased this car because we had another child and decided the sedan wasn't as practical as an SUV. This was the best within our price range. It has good fuel efficiency, although not as good as stated in the booklet. On highway driving we get about 8l/100km, while driving to work in the suburbs lowers the efficiency to about 11l/100km. It has enough room in the back but is not as big as the Territory. It has enough power for everyday driving, but is a little short on power when going up hills or towing. The phone connects well and clearly t...Read more
o the bluetooth. It is easy to accept or reject calls and the voices are clear on both ends. The speakers are adequate in the front but a little quiet in the back. One issue we found was that the accessories switch off after about thirty minutes, so if you are listening to music (for example at the drive-in) you need to switch the accessories on and off regularly. Another problem that we have noticed is that it is sometimes a little tough shifting down into third gear. It is only occasionally and seems to be a timing problem with the gears. Although not perfect I think that on the whole it is one of the best value SUVs out there at the moment.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love!
Love this car! Great to drive, very reliable, excellent fuel economy. I also love that I can fit 3 child restraints across the back seat, and a pram and groceries easily in the boot. This is an excellent family car, and I will happily purchase another outlander in the future. The reverse camera is also something I couldn't live without.

Nice!
We were looking for a replacement for our 2004 Magna station wagon. We have avoided SUVs due to the imagined fuel costs, but the Outlander surprises there. Current tank of fuel will go for 700 Km+ if the 'distance to empty' is to be believed. Claimed urban consumption of 8.9L/100 km is easy to beat, and have seen 6.9 L/100 km on a country trip.
We picked the MY2016 2.0L front wheel drive 5 seater base model as it is the cheapest, simplest and lightest of all the models. Coming from a 2004 car I figured luxuries like sat nav, etc wouldn't be m...Read more

It's a Mitzi !!!
I bought this car to the beginning 2015 with 23km on it from a car dealer. I love this car because is give me enough space in the back from the trunk for our two big dogs. Only I wish the car has a little bit more power. But surprised is the full economy

2014 Brand New Outlander
Purchased new this year, all going well. Hit 13,000km, steering wheel light with exclamation mark flashed up and engine died completely. Luckily was able to roll to side of the road. Got towed to Mitsubishi. It had blown a fuse but they didnt know why, said it was fixed. Around 800km it did it again. Towed again, this time they separated fuses inside next to drivers leg & said if it blew again, they would know what fuse. 200km blows again, they come and fix fuse but didnt blow the fuses they wanted. They still have no idea why & seem to expect me to take the car back!
