120,000km of trouble free ownership since Oct 16. My commute is 160+km/day in varying traffic with fuel usage still ~9L/100km. And that's with 2" taller tyres than factory. I've taken it to Fraser Island twice, Straddie Island, and recently to Cape York including the full Old Telegraph Track. At July 2022, 94 000Kms and brought new as a runout model 2015. Towed 2.4 tonne caravan for 30 000 of these kms. At 85, 000 ISH noticed power loss issues that turned out to be a badly carboned inlet manifold and turbo as well. Mechanic described engine at time as having emphysema. Extremely poor fuel economy as well.
Also issues with clutch, but have lived with issue for 50 000 kms (started to overheat on a moderate but extended climb with the caravan) and needs to be replaced very soon.

09 MN .I brought my ute new and have have done 193000 km .I have had an injector failure at 17000 but was replaced by dealer.i have had a 3rd gear problem at 100000 .again sorted by the dealer.it is very comfortable as a daily driver and a great weekend 4wd.i have after market shocks and wheels, bullbar, canopy was originally an Mitsubishi one but it warped on the sides and was replaced by the dealer with a ARB model.overall it is solid and reliable now after some teething problems being the new 2.5motor in 09.i have fitted a catch can and had ...Read more

Purchased a 2018 Triton Gls recently. Had a 2016 model that was written off in an accident.

Really liked my 2016 model so went straight back to this model. A good work horse car for my job for the price paid.

A couple of things I find annoying in this model is the reversing camera is poor compared to 2016 model. To change radio station like most car these days you use the arrow on steering wheel, not his model all touch screen.

Bought new triton 2013 - 40,000 ks on the clock. Over heating with numerous breakdowns took us ages to get results finally we got a new motor. Fast forward to 2018 same problem with 2nd motor. Had to basically fight for assistance had fair trading involved they replaced with a short motor but could not tell us why we were having problems . In 2017 the cost was NZ$47K with factory accessories i.e. front nudge, sports and tow bars, bonnet guard, deep floor mud mats, tub liner and soft tonneau cover. It has the 10 year warranty and is serviced every 15,000kms as per the service book.
I commute daily and travel approx. 28km per day. I have fitted an iDrive throttle controller which seems to supress the very dangerous turbo lag on take off from intersections.

I use this car for mainly commuting to work (140km round trip), hasn't missed a beat and is quiet comfortable. I've done 45,000km's so far. I recently did a road trip towing a camper van weighing 1.6t, overall combined weight was 4.06t. I started from Geelong around the East coast to Woolongong, through the Blue Mountains and home. I covered 3000km's drove around some windy and mountainous roads. The Triton performed well and exceeded my expectations.
