Do NOT!! Use there service
Ok so first thing that happens, man gets to door doesn't even say hello just asked for payment so gave him $100 cash and the keys then pointed him to which car it was and away he went. I got quoted $99 and pretty sure we don't round up dollars in Australia. but no change was given. Not a lot but beside the point.
20 mins later he came back to the front door and mumbled some things really quick and said "just get those few things fixed and I'll pop over and sign off on them.
Had a look at the report he emailed me, and it had about 20 differ...Read more

Bad employees
Brought a car with a Mr Roadworthy pass and checked the passed roadworthy with another mechanical workshop who failed it !!
The owner of Mr Roadworthy told me I had no come back on the buisness as the inspector who passed it is on contract to him and he has no responsibility for what he does
To make this more interesting is the inspector for Mr Roadworthy initially failed the car and then was asked to check items he failed and passed it!
Problem is only some of the items had been done I I’m left with a $800 bill to get the car up to safety...Read more

I will never use or recommend this company ever again!
Don’t bother with these amateurs. Was given one item to repair to get a RWC which was listed on the RWC report. I had this item repaired but upon the 2nd inspection I was told it needed further items repaired when the unfriendly (useless) mechanic turned up. Completely wasted my time and money. I wouldn’t let these fools within 100 m of my car. Got the whole thing fixed for heaps less by a local business and very happy with the service. Give these guys a miss.

Punctual polite efficient
I recently brought my bike over from SA and needed a certificate to register here.
I booked a mobile visit with this company from the Southport branch.
I had to work on the day of the test so I left my bike key and money out for them.
They did not disappoint in anyway.
They came, did the inspection, returned the key and emailed me the certificate and receipt within the hour.
They even left me the $2 change from the $90

Customer Service is up there with the worst I've experienced
I booked many RWC on a fleet of small trailer I owned. Made time to have them done over 2 day and cleared my diary to do so. At no stage was I told these would not be done if it was raining nor was I told they will not be done on dirt. On the day we were to start is was raining with the weather forecast to be like that for the remainder of the week. The inspector advise me of the "don't work in the rain" aspect when he made contact to do the first RWC. With this news we went to the only trailer which was under cover and following the inspection...Read more
I was advise it had failed on brake adjustment (fair enough) but it was a issue which took me all of 5 minutes to fix. I paid for this RWC in cash as I was advised the applied additional fees to make card payments. To date I have not received a copy of the failed RWC nor did I receive and receipt for the payment. I advised the inspector that as it was still raining and there were no guarantees of me getting any more RWC done then he could cancel all the remaining RWC and could he let the office know that and that I would contact the office the following week and organise them again if I required their services. The next day I started to receive calls in relation to RWC inspections and I advised those callers that all inspections should have been cancelled the previous day. I called the office to confirm the cancellation and to re-book a re-inspection (as per advice of the inspector). When I had got any response, I sent a text to the mobile number I used to book the inspections in the first instance. After a couple of days of no response I call the mobile number again to organise the re-inspection. I was advised at that stage of a re-inspection fee (had I know earlier I would never have got any inspections) and was abruptly advised it was in the paperwork before I was hung up on. I called back to advise I had NEVER received any paperwork not even the failed inspection report so how was I to know there was a re-inspection fee. Again after a short conversation I was hung up upon again. My advise to anyone considering using the services of Mr Roadworthy do so at your own risk. I will be taking this issue up with Qld Transport and Small Claims seek refund of the money paid for a service which wasn't complete.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Couldn't me more happier
I have used Mr Roadworthy once, then twice and now I am up to number 4 for RWC. Danny has been great and to be contacted on a Sunday night to arrange a booking at the time and date I need spells great service to me. He even arranged for a gut to come round at 5 to put a compliance plate for 4 seats on a motorhome we got from WA and he waited until the guy did his job to give the roadworthy, so it was all done in one go. Great service all round in BNE (auchenflower). Thanks Danny & Julie !

Frustrated
I like others wish i had read the reviews of this company first. The contractor for Redlands area has appalling communication and customer service. He arrived on time took my money and email address. Told me it needed shockies and left. No paperwork was given and I was not told the report would be emailed. Noticed there were 3 other failed items so I rang and was told the other items were ok and not to worry about them, so why put them on report!!
Got my mechanic to replace the shockies (mind you he said they definitely were not unsafe) Rang...Read more

Bad experience and waste of money
Needed someone for a roadworthy certificate quickly and so I found this company online which was on the day checks. My car was in great condition and had some minor issues with it. I had just replaced the 2 front tyres not too long ago. A man from mr roadworthy came to my address to inspect the car. After 5-10mins of looking at the car, he found that I need new control arm bushes, a new front tyre and another thing that was foreign to me. I told him that I had just replaced the tyres in the front and he said it still needed to be replaced. He g...Read more
ave me a quote of about 700-800 to replace all these parts and labour which was a stretch for me. I went and got all those things replaced and bought the parts myself which cut the price in half that the mr roadworthy mechanic quoted me. The mechanic I chose to replace the parts was also much cheaper which was truly frustrating because his labour prices was about half the price i was originally quoted. The mechanic said that the parts he replaced were still in good condition. So all in all, I was left frustrated and at a loss with mr roadworthy. For my recheck the same guy from mr roadworthy came and checked the car, he spent 5 mins and DID NOT EVEN LOOK UNDER THE CAR! So dodgy! After telling him what I went through, he tried lying to me about prices and stuff and quickly gave me the roadworthy certificate for the car and left. I would not recommend Mr Roadworthy ever again. They will come up with random problems with your car just to make a profit.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

They overlooked a very simple issue that cost me $230 to fix and double-check
I engaged them for pre-purchase inspection of Suzuki 2011 on Sun-Shine coast. The tech Tanawah identified computer issue that didn't exist (cost me 80$ to double check) and overlooked seriously tarnished reflectors surfaces. Not sure how the seller got the road-worthy but I had to pay another $150 to fix the reflectors when I decided to sell the car just 6 months later. I saw that reflectors were not that transparent from the start but didn't know that it was an issue (that was the reason to get a tech to check). I would not recommend them!

Waste of Time and Money
I booked a Pre Purchase inspection on a car and they told me there were no issues whatsoever yet failed to inform me that the clutch was stuffed and of the rust in the boot. Service states a full work over mechanically covering these things. Either didn't care or has no idea what to look for. Would not suggest using

Rudest customer service - wish I had read these reviews first.
They did not turn up.
Very rude lady on the phone.
Claimed I had no booking and had never contacted them - despite me having the mobile number and name of the lady who rang me a few minutes after I made the online inquiry.

No idea on current inspection rules
Used these guys for a safety cert recently. The vehicle has only got 50,000 kms on it . The buyer of the car used red book inspections for a complete inspection, which it passed with absolutely no problems. When mr roadworthy did the inspection the guy told us there was a slight oil film on the bottom of the engine and he had to note it down in the comments on the safety cert however it would still pass. So my way of thinking is it’s either leaking or it’s not leaking to the point where it effects the vehicles safety so if it passes why put it...Read more
on the certificate. All this does is confuse any potential buyer . I thought I was paying for a safety certificate not a vehicle general condition/inspection report. So thanks very much Mr roadworthy now I’m stuck with your safety cert that says my car may or may not have an oil leak, so that’s going to look good for any potential buyer.Similar opinion? Fantastic Service
We have just had Ray from Mr. Roadworthy Southport come to our house to provide safety and gas certificates for our caravan. I was surprised that the office booked the job in a lot quicker then I anticipated. Ray was on time and carried out the inspections in a efficient and professional manner. He was extremely helpful and provided additional information on the certificates and Qld Transport regulations. It was a great experience and I would have no hesitation recommending Mr. Roadworthy to my family and friends. Job No. 2821

Matt made our day with his service
We had a long stressful few days in Brisbane, and Matt checked over our car and told us what we needed done (lots of detail and suggestions which was great). He went the extra mile to help, and sort out how we would go about getting some repairs done and fit it into our schedule of getting up to Sunshine Coast and staying there.
We can't thank him enough for being the one positive thing in a bad few days for us. He was a straight forward and helpful guy. We don't usually do reviews but felt compelled too, as he was really considerate and helpful. :)

Completely worthless
I used their service twice. The first time - a [name removed] in QLD did the job and he was great! I got a call straight after he did the inspection (I wasn’t there) and provided a load of detail. Based on his advice (and the report sent by email) I didn’t buy the car.
Couple of months later however…
I specifically asked for [name removed] again since he was so helpful. Not this time. It took 7 calls to his mobile and 3 to head office. He sent one text that read ‘the car is unroadworthy’. 24 hrs later he called to report something about ...Read more
the tyres being incorrect but the rest of the car was in great condition. I figured I could soon replace the tyres so I bought the car. Yesterday I had the car inspected by a diesel mechanic and apparently the first thing he should have inspected and a very easy inspection (lift a plastic cover on top of the engine with one hand) is the injectors. Which it turns out are leaking. Cost to repair $1000 - $1500. I called head office today to report my dissatisfaction. They suggested I call the guy directly to complain. I laughed. I found Mr Roadworthy on Google, I thought I was dealing with Mr Roadworthy. Shouldn’t you be taking care of me or at least hearing my complaint? “It’s a non-intrusive inspection. We can’t touch or remove anything” In other words, walk around the car yourself and kick the tyre - save yourself $200.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Excellent service!!
The process was as simple as texting someone your details and they replied very quickly and setup a time to complete the roadworthy! Matt completed my roadworthy this morning and he was extremely helpful! Definitely recommend this service :)
