My name is OTTO I'm a 57y/o.
I have lost two jobs in the last 8-9 weeks.
I lost my first full time position on 25/02/20 after working there for two years.
I then decided to fund my own job search rather than wait on Unemployment line.
I was paid roughly $6,800 consisting of termination and holiday pay.
After five weeks with only hundreds left I scored full time job only to be laid off two and a half weeks later on 13/04/20.
During this time my REGO lapsed on 11/04/20 cause I had no job now.

Refund ??
I am an old pensioner I made a mistake by buying my CTP insurance from QBE and another from NRMA in July 2022 when I realise my mistake I quickly emailed NRMA to cancel the CTP with the reason, checked with Services nsw and was told they used the QBE and refunded the money to NRMA, I emailed NRMA Several times they have refused to refund my money.

Slow, illogical, painful
A driver who was insured with NRMA hit my parked car. The driver herself was good to deal with, but NRMA was terrible.
NRMA had the information from their member, that they hit my parked car. But the claim didn't include the explicit acknowledgment of fault by the driver, so NRMA pursued me as the party at fault and wanted to charge me for repairs to both vehicles. To add to this, their initial call to me was one month after the incident, and at every step that NRMA had to do something, another week was taken. It has now been almost three month...Read more

Very poor service, don't choose NRMA!
Had a car claim, (first one in my life), for a hail storm. They muddled up getting the car picked up to be assessed which took me making multiple phone calls to rectify. Took a month to get back to me to tell me that the car was a write off. I questioned the valuation and they said the assessor would call me to go through it, no one did. I sent some emails to that department to get some more information regarding the valuation process and the replies I received were short and almost irritable towards my wanting more information, not professiona...Read more

I called again and was told i would be contacted within 24-48 business ours, (i stressed at this point that if they couldnt commit to that, that i just wanted to settle as I was sick of having my time wasted, and they assured me the assessor would contact me), never did. I also tried to cancel my other policy with them at this point having been so dissatisfied with the service, which they made infinitly difficult. Plus the amount of time i spent on HOLD on the phone! So two months with no car from a hail storm, with little to no help from my full comprehensive policy. Do not waste your time with NRMA.2 comments

Poor customer service
Poor poor customer service. QBE are offering a better and cheaper CTP..NRMA did not want to match the price even though Ive been a customer for 8 years! The NRMA customer service person was laughing at me over the phone and continued to say that he respected my choice to move to QBE, which included moving my comprehensive and home content insurance. NRMA are a joke!

Nrma home insurance unfair treatment
Have been with the Nrma for over 25 years
I lost my engagement ring in a terrible accident on my property and have paid contents and valuables insurance for its prior value for over 25 years.

Disgusting and disappointed with service
My car was involved in accident back in March 19 and i rang nrma to make a claim
They gave me a claim number and then may another accident rang again and ask for a claim number and they said under my policy they dont give me a claim number cause i have a third party policy then told me that the cant give me reason why they gave me one on the first claim.
By the way none of these are my fault
Back to the first claim i then contacted nrma in may what is happening with the claim in may

Didn’t repaired my car and make me hold for so long and still do not respond to call..worse experience
I lodged the claim a month ago the driver at fault is insured with NRMA he did took the responsibility for that incident but NRMA didn’t got me any status till now and didn’t repaired my car, during a call they keep me on hold for so long and do not respond to a call...having worse experience with them

Never answer the phone calls waiting online more then one hour...
Disgusting service 20 days renting a car from my own pocket to go work and more then 10 calls one hour each call different days, different time and guess what still no answer claim and quotation done at nrma request second day after the accident at their approved smash repairs shop but 15 days till now I don't know what to do keep renting car, are they going to pay me for the rent, are they going to fix my car or they going to pay me as cash settlement so i know what to do next!!!? . until they answer me I will let you know

The worst experience never had!
I was involved three months ago in a car accident, since then no body has called me even if the claim fee was paid the same day. I called several times with no answers, only yesterday I've been at the phone for 3 hours in a row. My issue should be an easy thing, since someone dropped my bike while it was still in a parking. To sum up, in 3 months no inspection, no contact, no answer and my bike is still damaged.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Without a doubt the worst Insurance company I have ever had the displeasure of associating with. You will NOT ever speak to an Australian person from the claims department which leads to often confusion and misunderstandings when discussing a claim. NRMA are sneaky with the wording on their policy disclosure statement and they will catch you out on a technicality where it can save them money. I've also never spent so long on hold in my entire life, I wish I could get all that time back. They find the most inconvenient times to return your calls (When and if they ever do end up getting around to it). If I could go back and choose a different insurance company I 100% would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Worst company ever to deal with, nightmare, never again. Going against their own clients, always 40 minutes wait time on phone, have no clue when you ask them and five misleading informatikn for months!!
