I have been a Member for over 30 years now and have received expert assistance in a number of ways.
Each time the Service has been excellent and friendly.
Great value for money.
I can't understand why some drivers do not take up Membership and only wait until they find themselves in a predicament.
Best Service ever !!

NRMA to the rescue

The perhaps outmoded and slightly politically incorrect descriptor of 'knights in shining armour' still applies to the NRMA. Last week, in error, I called a road side assistance service that I thought to be the NRMA. After 3 hours of waiting on the side of the road and false reassurances that a driver was on the way, I realised that I was not dealing with the NRMA at all. When I finally called the NRMA they were enormously reassuring. I had road side assistance within about 20 minutes. Further, I was mightily impressed with the health and safety precautions that the driver took in this COVID age. A truly trustworthy and skilled service!

I was parked at a store and returned to my car to find it was dead. I contacted NRMA. I was advised with txts every step of the way of the progress of my technician. I felt reassured and wasn't left wondering how long before the technician arrived. My expectations were well managed and the service was honest and caring. The technician followed me to my driveway in case I stalled my car and could not start it again due to a dead battery that sadly is a special size for my car and he did not carry one.

The roadside assistance customer service representative Scott and the patrolman who attended to my poor car were lovely, caring and reassuring. I’m grateful to NRMA for their care and all that they do in the community. A regular annual payment made all the difference in a time of need and I don’t think you can quite put a price on safety. Thank you!

The battery in my vehicle was 5 years old & requiring charging. I couldn’t afford to be caught with a flat battery due to isolation so contacted NRMA who came to my residence & quickly installed a new battery.

Knowing little about cars i have always been a member of the NRMA. I mainly have used roadside assistance. From the early days of locking my keys in the car to flat tyres and flat batteries i have always found them polite, courteous and efficient. I have known that when i need help they will come. They make me feel supported and cared for when dealing with car issues. I wouldn't be without them.

I was really unwell and had locked my keys in my car. It turned out my roadside assistance had been suspended (my fault i set up the direct debit wrong). I called and it was fixed immediately. Someone was dispatched and arrived within about 30 mins. He was quick and kind. So glad have roadside assistance.

Great service in an emergency

Family member needed to be at hospital for long awaiting surgery, flat battery super stressed very quick response within 10 mins checked battery needed new one all done and dusted very quick excellent service

NRMA never let me down

I have been a member with NRMA Roadside assistant for over 25 years and as a single women I can depend on them to firstly be a safe point of contact and I know that the mechanics have had police checks and I am safe and back on the road ASAP.

NRMA Roadside Assist

Would never get NRMA roadside assist. You will be stuck in a contract to pay for a year, even if you don't have a car anymore. You cannot pay to break contact. The NRMA rewards have very little benefit. Every time I have been in a Caltex they refused to offer the NRMA discount even when showing them the NRMA card. If you have an accident they do not tow your car as it is has been involved in a collision, Whether this is your fault or not. They only help if your battery is flat or you left your keys in the car, even then you could just have a spare key and leads to jump start your car. Not worth it. Get insurance that you can get towed no matter what.

Recently we blew a coolant hose on my Jeep. We were between Yetman and Texas (felt like middle of nowhere). Couldn't fault all involved! From first call, to Chris the Towie, to owners of Texas Motors - Brilliant! Great Job - Thanks NRMA & Texas Motors!

Wonderful service

The NRMA is wonderful to rely on when I experience problems with my car. I have had a leaky radiator, two flat batteries and three or more flat tyres during my 30+ membership years. I feel totally looked after by them when I have a breakdown of any sort.

NRMA excellent service

I had to call NRMA on Good Friday. They were prompt and very efficient and easily solved my problem. The patrol man, Manpreet, was friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend them to anyone that needed help with their car.

Prompt arrival after calling NRMA had my problem sorted and me reassured. The attendant was excellent! Thank you to NRMA. I am a long-term Member and was completely happy with the service.

If I am broken does can I be towed to a repairer of my own choice within the 50km zone even if it is not close to home?

My understanding is that you cannot be repaired at the location towing is arranged to the closest available repairer within the prescribed mileage, country areas have different prescribed mileages. NRMA service teams are there to help and advise the options, I have never had any issues with the Road Services even when travelling Interstate.

Hello AJP, Thanks for your question. Depending on the level of coverage you have, only Premium Care will offer 50kms free towing Australia wide, which can be used to get to a repairer of your choice for a mechanical issue . If you do have Classic Care, 20kms free towing is offered in metro areas - which can be to the Members preferred location. In regional areas though, a free tow back to the attending town is provided for Classic Care Members to ensure a vehicle can be taken to a workshop as often 20km for a breakdown out of town will not help to get a Member to a place of repair. If you are unsure of your coverage or need any further help, please call us on 13 11 22. ( 8am - 8pm, 7 days). - Paul

I am afraid that we do not offer discounts on NRMA Batteries, however we do offer free deliver and installation backed by a 24/7 warranty if something goes wrong. Being an NRMA Gold Member, we also offer a discount on Membership fees each year for up to 2 vehicles. - Paul

As a long standing Member of over 50 years, you should be receiving a 50% discount on your Membership coverage. For Premium Care coverage, this would be reduced to $102 from $204 or $56.50 for Classic Care instead of $113.
