Kings 15-480 type 1 elastic sided steel cap workboot discontinued
Can anyone please tell me if there is a replacement model and if so what is it please? I discovered I'd left my main workboots at home when I went to load so ran into Big W at Sunshine to get a cheapy pair just to keep me going a few days until I got home again to grab my boots. That was the best part of 15 year ago. They are the only steel cap boot I've ever been happy with. very comfortable and long lasting. I'm only looking to replace them as they are getting sloppy around my ankle and the rubber is starting to fall apart. After nearly 15 years they have done an outstanding job. My first choice of boot, would much prefer these over blundstone, redback etc etc

greatest work boot I've had
As a Plumber I am constantly in and out of trenches, wet and dry and going into people's homes.
I get a new pair of boots every 12 months and it's not because the boot has broken down it's because they get so worn in and i just like a fresh pair.
Very affordable with good ankle support and easy to get on and off with the side zipper which holds true.
See pics attached these boots have been worked in extreme conditions daily.

Very comfortable and seem to last .
I am an older bloke, now retired but very active constructing things like big timber fences, concrete pathways and full on renos. With age I have got some foot pains so a good boot is very important. I have worn Oliver lace ups for years during any building work because they are really comfortable and last. I even wear a "slightly less industrial looking" Oliver boot (lightweight composite cap in brown, nubuck style leather ), now when I go out shopping etc. I have only ever managed to wear them out by wearing the soles right down.
Super tough and comfy
I am a fencing contractor and have been wearing olivers for 25 years. They are a tough well made boot that is super comfortable even after 12 or 14 hours.Have just got my second pair of ATs after flogging hell out of the first pair for twelve months and still wear the old pair sometimes to save the new pair.A great product.
Run over by 5 ton excavator
Hi I'm Russell, I recently purchased a pair of Oliver AT'S size 9.5 with the zip up sides,I was impressed with their comfort and ease of removal, I'd only had these boots a month when I was run over on my foot by a 5 ton excavator while I was on the road following him doing traffic control he suddenly reversed on me grabbing my right foot I was immediately slammed to the bitumen and blacked out but was fully conscience of the fact that this excavator was driving over my foot and ankle.he drove for app half a metre over my leg and upon hearing m...
Read morey screams of agony stopped then proceeded to reverse off me.the end result was a broken ankle,2 broken toes and broken tibia and now have plates and screws everywhere, but thanks to Oliver boots,I still have a foot,I am just walking again without aid and it's only been 16 weeks since the accident, none of us can believe I still have a foot, but I kno that as I was slammed to the ground my foot was on its side and it was the rubber sole of the Oliver boot that helped keep a lot of the excavators weight off my foot therefore only causing minimal damage, all the doctors agree if I had been wearing something else that was inferior I would have had amputation to deal with.So I just wanted to take the time to say thank you Oliver, thanks to you all from management all the way down to the guy sweeping floors on the factory floor, thanks to you all I still have a foot, keep up the great work...regards RussellFind out how Oliver compares to other Footwear Shops & Brands

kick off
These boots are great. I read the bad reviews and they sound like boot amateurs. The new AT's are insanely comfortable, tough and wear-in to like your favourite coffee cup. The stains and nicks just add to the story book. I've walked a couple of miles in treacherous conditions and these things keep me safe and happy. They are heavier than some boots, but like Milwaukee tools, there's substance underlying the rugged style. As Mr T says, "don't be a fool!" Buy a pair of good boots (Oliver's) and get on with your working day.

Great so far
From new, have worn these 6 or 7 times for long shifts with lots of walking. Great so far. Comfy and appear to be well made with a clever lace locking thingy for the laces. To think I nearly didn't buy these after reading these reviews but $60 off Gumtree for brand new was too tempting.

Most comfortable work boots ever!
I've worn Steel Blue, Mongrel and every other brand you can think of. I wear orthotics and always have had problems with my feet. First Time for Oliver's and extremely comfortable. Not sure about wear and tear yet, but so far so good. I bought them on-line from Workwear Hub and they were delivered in less than a week.
Immediate comfort - no wearing in.

Great Quality Boot
I found these boots to be very comfy and hardwaring for any work purpose. The sole is very big on comfort factor and your feet are not tired by the end of the day. I have worn other brands and they dont seem to last as long or as comfortable.
August 5th 2017 Update: New model AT55's Oliver's a great upgrade
The new upgraded Oliver AT 55 series's is a ripper heaps lighter and the new lining is fantastic like putting on a pair of comfy boots first time on . The new sole tread pattern doesn't hold stones and very grippy on wet surfaces, after trying some other brands I'll be staying loyal again to the best boots in the Australian market .
reliable
not the cheapest but get what you pay for
Best Work Boot By Far
I have owned many brands of boots over 30 years of Mechanical work, since buying a pair of Oliver mid cut sports safety boots I have found that they are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, my feet arent tired or sore at the end of the day, the only problem is locating an outlet in Adelaide that has a good stock, as I have had to buy other brands inbetween while trying to locate Olivers and my feet always regret this after a week. I know I will never buy Steel Blu again sorry but they are not as good as they claim.
extreme comfort, long life
Questions & Answers
I thought the warranty on $190.00 boots was for one year. I have had better boots bought at half the price that were better in every respect. Will not buy your Chinese low quality boots for half price. You need to increase quality before you have such a bad name your sales drop off. Would not recommend your boots to anyone.
I was under the impression that Oliver boots were made in Australia and paid the price commensurate with that in mind - $240. Unfortunately, after buying them, I see they're made in China! Oh No! If ...
Read moreI'd been savvy enough to pick that up to begin with, I wouldn't have touched them. Hopefully - if they going to crumble, it'll happen within the six months warranty period and I'll have some recourse to get replacements - not that I really want them if they're made in China!Could someone please advise where Oliver boots are made? I believe the company is headquartered in Ballarat, and my current (ancient) pair of Oliver boots were made locally, but some reviewers have made mention of the quality slipping 'since manufacturing moved offshore'. I don't want to pay premium prices for goods made in workshops that underpay workers. Thanks in advance.
They have been made off shore for many years so not sure why people say since going off shore ? Steel blue, Blundstone, cat are all made off shore mongrel partly made here, better to try or ask a ...
Read moreworkwear shop what has the least amount of warranty claims and what feels most comfortable really . If Oliver, steel blue and Blundstone were made here they would be about $300 a pair rather than $200Thanks for the answer. I called Oliver direct and they confirmed that ALL their boots are now made in China. After further research, I found that Mongrel boots are still made in NSW. I ended up buying...
Read more a pair for $170 and they are excellent. Very pleased to be supporting local manufacturing and I don't mind paying a bit more to do so.Wish I'd known that before I bought my last pair of Olivers - maybe Mongrel boots need to advertise the fact a lot more - then again, they've probably gone to China too - where we seem to be paying them to cut our throats!
Whats happened to the soles of the Oliver Work boots? They are still the most comfortable work boots to wear, but the soles don't last long anymore. We live in far north Qld, so the boots are being worn on the farm in tropical conditions & the soles start to fall apart & then just disintegrate at about 6-12 months old, while the upper boot is still perfectly good & just got worn in to the comfortable stage.. This has happened with the last 3 pairs I've had!
Not happy!!!
