Great service with staff and Optometrist at OPSM Mosman
OPSM Retail StoresHad an updated eye test at OPSM Mosman, first time seeing the Optometrist at this store-Katherine-she was very personable and very good at what she does.
The staff there are always very helpful and knowledgeable when helping with frames and the subsequent fitting etc. Would recommend OPSM Mosman store.

The person who served me was utterly ridiculous. Almost seems like she was nitpicking just to get under my skin and get me walk out.
Wouldn’t be surprised if she had a very bad day and decided to take it out on the next person she Interacted with.

OPSM Online Store2 Times I made online order, the first one was 6 months ago, it took over 2 months until I received the order. Always give excused waiting for supplier. After they received the stock, they did not try to post it with the fastest option to accomodate the delays. They sent with normal post instead of express. With 2nd order, now its been 3.5 weeks, I emailed them and asking for status, but NO REPLY AT ALL. COMPLETE USELESS and What now?? They are not cheap and extremely bad service. Everyone beware, not wort it to use OPSM, Do not experiece what we already had.

OPSM Retail StoresGlasses way out of focus, staff stated I was the problem and told to “get used to them”. I insisted on another test which was completely different to the first. Glasses still not satisfactory. An experience of 10 weeks. Far too expensive, staff only interested in selling, even leaving you to attend others. I will take my losses of $1,400 for 2 pair and not return to OPSM.

I had them do my eye test and have glasses made, I struggled with them right from the start. Went back after 2 weeks and told them I could not use them as they were blurry. Was told I would just have to get used to wearing glasses. A few weeks later still having issues with them, back I go, same response as the first. I carried on using them, but couldn't see properly . I put them in the draw as I could see better without them .About 9 months later decided to try again, same Issue, sent to a different Opsm, they said,

OPSM Retail StoresThe good manager left in Nov 2021 and the new situation feels like all they care about is sales - not quality or customer care.
One of the lens was loose and wonky when they put them in, and they tried to get me to just accept it like that.
The manager loomed over me and tried to out argue me and shut me up instead of accepting they had done anything wrong. That was at my 4th visit of visits for these glasses.
I recommend OPSM is avoided now, sadly.

Excellent Service but delivery of specs in a cardboard case????
OPSM Retail StoresThe staff at Parkmore Shopping Centre were excellent with their service especially Serina. The optometrist was very thorough with her check and very clear.
The downfall is the Armani frames were delivered in dark cardboard boxes which was very unusual. I used to deal with Specsavers for many years and always got my frames in proper hardened cases. If this is how you hand out frames, time to change as your frames and glasses are much more expensive than Specsavers. Disappointed due to no proper cases.

The optometrist was very argumentative and kept insisting that I should be going back the optometrist who last prescribed and supplied my glasses. This happened to be my daughter who works in an area which is difficult for me to get to and she was quite happy for me to go somewhere else.
So the testing proceeded and the prescription indicated that new glasses were warranted.
I then started dealing with 2 sales people, one of which seemed to be the manager and the other a sales

They only answered the phone once and promised to call back the following day to try to get my order in store as out of stock online. That was 10 day ago. I contacted Fair trading one month ago still nothing. 11 weeks waiting for reading glasses. Opsm has no customer service at all.

However, the glasses I did buy from them (four pairs!) seemed to last a couple of years. Much better than OPSM's, it turns out. Now the other side has followed suit only this time the lens was lost in long grass. Now I need a new pair but it won't be from them. OPSM Retail StoresI think people who leave reviews generally do so after a bad experience, bringing down the overall score so I wanted to post and say that I had a great experience at OPSM. I've been to Specsavers and Oscar Wylee, but the OPSM experience was much more professional. I interacted with 4 different staff to get my eyes tested and select a pair of reading glasses, and each person was obviously very well trained and eager to assist but not pressure me to buy.
I do think the prices are very high, but then again the frame style that I wanted is not available at a generic eye retailer so for me, the price is worth the selection of products and wonderful customer service.

Ordered contact lenses and noone contacted me when they arrived they were sitting there for 3 Weeks. No apology nothing. Ordered a recent pair almost 2 weeks ago and still waiting. I was told they have no ETA. The Only thing they do right is Taking your Payment $ upfront.

I have been generous in my time waiting for them because of shipping delays and they have still not arrived 18.2.2022. I have rung customer service and go in queue then it cuts in and asks you to leave number to call you back on which I have done and still no call back. I haven't actually been able to talk to anyone. 4 emails to them with order details still no reply. Rang local store they can't help. Now we switched to OPSM from Specsaver and I can tell you I will be finding another provider if I don't get a response.

Return policy
OPSM Retail StoresBeware of being sold frames without lenses. They are a returned item, prescription lenses removed, and frames sold off as new at original price. I am advised that this is how OPSM can afford their generous returns policy. I contacted OPSM three times to provide feedback and discuss remedy, no acknowledgement or response.
Also check prescription lens prices, my local optometrist quoted 36% lower.
So disappointing from a well respected company.
This in no way reflects on their staff however, the three I dealt with were lovely.
Horrible, not worthy of their retail reputation
OPSM Online StoreI purchased two pairs of glasses from their online store. Delivery was swift and very beautifully packed, like opening a gift box.
The glasses unfortunately, were disappointing, one of them having finger prints all over both lenses.
I sent both pairs back. It’s now almost three weeks since Auspost made the delivery, and no refund.
I have emailed and phoned them several times, but nothing. They don’t reply to emails and they don’t pick up the phone.
Suggest you go to their stores where I’ve always found their staff excellent.

OPSM Online StoreI placed on on-line order with OPSM on 2nd January, 2022. After having not received any communication from OPSM except for the order confirmation, the order was suddenly cancelled on 29th January. No refund or mention of refund provided.
Do not place an order with OPSM online.
I have lodged an enquiry with the ACCC. I recommend others to do the same on-mass.

I had previously been to SpecSavers and had no issues whatsoever. OPSM Retail StoresMy eye check appointment was rescheduled 3 times at OPSM highpoint before I could actually go to an appointment, I called them to tell them I was running 10 minutes late I got there 12 minutes late and was told my appointment is cancelled and they’d have to reschedule my appointment AGAIN. For being 2 minutes past 10 minutes?
So frustrating and if you are going to refuse clients for being 10 minutes late you should notify them prior when appointments are booked waste of time and appalling customer service.

The duration was 30 min so if you think 20 min is not enough just let me know and I’m quite happy to make a new appointment. Instead, the manager still directed me to the optometrist while kept saying “you are late”. So obviously it was ok, so why blame? While the optometrist started the conversation as same as “because you are late” then still ran through every test and even added extra scanning thing. Well, all was done in that 20 min, and end of the day, I was told this eye test was not covered by Medicare or private insurance, so I have to pay! And because I did extra scanning I was also charged fees on this. I was then told because the contact lenses need to be ordered through special supplier so I have to pay $49 as a deposit, but if I’m happy with the prescription and the product after trying on the trial set, and place my formal ordering through the store, the $49 will become a credit towards my ordering. So the total customer experience was not about I ran late, it was all about took me through every equipment then make me pay $109.00! 4 weeks later I received a call from them saying the trial set is ready and I asked if I can just come and collect it without making another appointment with optometrist, I was told that was ok. So I went to the store on time this afternoon and was serviced by the same manager who told me I must make another appointment with optometrist as she needs to use “tools” to fit the contact lenses into my eyes!!! I have been wearing glasses over 32 years and contact lenses over 20 years and this is first time I heard someone needs to use “tools” to fit contact lenses into my eye! I obviously understand I will be made to pay them if I book in this session so when I said no thank you I don’t need this service this manager punched on his desk and said “then you are not gonna get this trial set”. When I said I have right by law to take the trial set as I paid $49 for them. This man said “No you did not pay for it, and you will not get refund”, and told me feel free to ring Consumer Affairs. I was shocked of this man by his wording, his attitude, his emotion, his disrespect, and the way as a manager handling this matter, and of course his non-sense of consumer law at all! I looked at this man wondering I was talking to an animal, not a human being. What made this more ridiculous is this manager asked one of his staff members to deal with me instead! For God sake, that poor young girl had no idea of what was happening and she was thrown to an angry customer, while by all means, this man, as the manager, he should be the person of dealing with this situation and close it off! The total experiences was absolutely disgusting and all I felt was they try to take every cent out of people’s pocket. OPSM Retail StoresPrescription sunglasses bought by me were sat on by me within a week of purchase. Specasavers said they could not be fixed. So I lived for 5 years with wonky sunglasses, corrected with asporting leash around the back of my head.
Screw fell out - so I took glasses to OPSM - they fixed these prescription sunglasses while I waited. Now I don't need a leash anymore; they are just like new.

OPSM Retail StoresI was not treated badly but with haste. Was made to feel like another number to be processed quickly because the optometrist didn’t have much time for me. At the same time I didn’t ask any questions and tried to be as obliging as possible. The customer service person was curtious but never even looked me in the eye and acted indifferent/ bored. Will definitely be visiting a non chain optometrist next time.
Was never addressed by my first name either. My name is non English so understand the caution but no one ever even tried.
Rude disrespectful Chadstone store
OPSM Retail StoresWe went to collect my daughter glasses from Chadstone store in Melbourne on 9th January 2022 at about 3pm.
Both pairs had issues so my daughter was not happy, it was high priced frames, so we expect no defects at all. The lady will not name with no badge was so rude to my young daughter that i had to step in . She said you take the glasses with scratches on the frame, they did not have any more stock and OPSM policy to supply display frame, I explained our rights she was smirking and rude when I tried to speak, I will never use OPSM, Specsaver will never sell display frames. You expect defect free when you spend large sum on a branded frames, and not to say take or leave it.
