Why book when walk-ins are the priority
I made an appointment to have my main eyeglasses examined where in one lens the transition glass was turning white. The warranty was honoured without issue, so I give OPSM full marks on that score.
However, in this day of Victorian stringency I was amazed that two walk-ins had priority over my booking. Normally, I wouldn't comment on this, but with the Victorian government so paranoid about COVIC-19 infections I feel I must. I had COVICSafe running, but did others in the store?

After a double length wait, bent versace arrive wth?!?!?
Waiting double time for glasses, ok... I sucked that up
But opening them upon getting home to see they are bent
Cummon... I spent over $500 on this and also bought two other pair at the same time (still awaiting delivery)

Competitive prices with subscription but ultra unreliable with deliveries
1. Online checkout process is not clear with having to tick the check box confirming a valid
prescription for the contact lens order, that step is easily missed hence delay in dispatching order.
2. Most UNRELIABLE delivery service with TOLL with numerous times not leaving a card notifying that attempted deliveries were made so the item gets sent back to their depot. OPSM lied to me in order to get a sale
Before ordering my frames I called OPSM specifically to check whether their products were supplied locally - obviously with the Corona Virus and the delays that go with it, I didn't want to order a product from overseas at this time.
On April 1 I received a note from OPSM saying that the item had been shipped and I should have it in 2 - 6 business days.
8 days later when the item had not arrived, i called OPSM and confessed to me that the frames were being shipped from China.
Why is this not made clear during the checkout process that products are shipped from China?

Complaint lodged 6 weeks ago. Still waiting for refund.
An error was made by sales person in store on a refund who refunded the full purchase price to me instead of taking off the Health Fund portion. They then deducted the Heath Fund portion from my account. The ETA to have the Heath Fund reimbursed? Up to 6 weeks! l try to speed it up to a 3 week turnaround. Well, today is week 6. Called again. They had no record of my complaint and referred me to the store (why??!) or the State Mgr again!! I am fully expecting Covid-19 to be an excuse which does not wash as this complaint was lodged 6 weeks ago! I am wearing glasses from the chemist. Great product and staff
Staff are always friendly and have best interest at heart. Their style range is large and good quality unlike other optical stores. Stores are always bright and clean. Their optometrists really know their stuff.

Bent my Frames to abnormal proportions
I purchased a $750 pair of glasses from OPSM just over a year ago (Feb 2022). The Frames since purchased have warped terribly so i went in to have them re-aligned 2 weeks ago(Chermside Shop). They are now a lot worst with the arms bent to outrageous proportions, to the extent that they are no longer wearable let alone usable. Obviously they cannot repair/undo their work (bending) and should simply replace my frames. I am returning to their shop again today and will update my comments after my visit....stay tuned!

Zero customer service
Worst customer service . Didn’t receive the contact lenses which placed 2 weeks ago. Called the customer service a few times for refund but to no avail . When I placed the order online, I clearly request leave the contact lenses at the mail box without signature . But toll left the card and ask me to collect at the toll depot which located an hour drive from my home . I was home all day when toll arrive, they didn’t check if someone home and just leave the card . Request to redeliver the the next day, initially the agreed but after that they said they miss the delivery . OPSM said will sort it out and call me back. It has been nearly a week, no communication from OPSM. Bad service .

Expensive, low quality scratched glasses
I purchased a pair of glasses from OPSM in November 2022. Four months later the lens are completely covered in scratches! Including a couple of wide scratches where it looks like the slightly coloured lens coating is coming off. At a cost of $609 I think this is completely unacceptable. I treat my glasses well and know that this is not related to poor treatment or general wear and tear. My previous glasses (not from OPSM) are now 3 years old and don't have any scratches on them! I think OPSM must be using materials or lens coatings that are not at all scratch resistant? I'm so disappointed! I wish I'd seen the similar reviews here prior to shopping at OPSM.

Four mistakes / 8 weeks for a simple lens
I took in a pair of my own frames ( nice French designer ) to have a very simple lens prescription fitted. I chose OPSM because they had a good reputation and I wanted my frames to be looked after. The OPSM quote was at least 50% higher than Optical Superstore but I assumed that higher quality materials/better service would apply.

next 2 week delivery date passed I was given the runaround for an extra week and worked out that they were keeping from me that my nice frames were lost. *At this point I was so annoyed by the way the Store Manager was failing to address both the first mistake and that my frames were lost and late, that I asked to speak to the Regional Manager. He handled the situation well offering me a refund of the gap payment and my glasses turned up a few days later. *HOWEVER, there was another mistake and the lenses were incorrect. Progressive lenses were fitted even though I specifically said no when asked. Totally unwearable because my distance vision is almost 20/20 and I couldn’t even use the reading side. Outrageous price and zero service
Today I went to OPSM store on Rundle Mall to get a quote on lenses. one young lady quoted me nearly $1000 for a pair of lenses only. it is utterly outrageous.
even worse, I did an eye test in Dec 19 at this store and took me nearly an hour. The staff forgot to store the reading prescription on the system. now I have to do another eye test.
I will never go to OPSM again. they simply want to rip off customers.

Bad website as unable to order online, store only, no good for rural customers
Going on 2 years now and can't always make the 3 hour trip to town to order and pick up or wait for them to answer the phone in Mackay, as online system wont load me and in store can't help at all. Going back to Specsavers, streamlined, professional and better pricing. Specsavers you can order online once you have your prescription.

Refused to serve, lied about the reason!
On a quiet Monday morning I asked if my glasses (an OPSM product) could be adjusted as they had been knocked off my face the previous day. I acknowledged that the glasses were 4 years old and were fragile, but I was having trouble focusing. The lady who served me said they were understaffed because of the rain and busy, even though no one was in the shop, so could I come back in an hour.

Worst customer service experience
I received an order notification email from OPSM yesterday which was placed by the system with autofill subscription plane. But the address in the order is incorrect as I have recently moved. Emailed the customer service but was told the order has been dispatched (but I haven’t received a dispatch email) so they can’t do anything about it. Bad service
After several pairs of glasses have just had the worst customer experience at OPSM Cairns Central. Went to collect new glasses and they were wrong, I was seeing double vision. Was explained that someone had entered the wrong data but how can I trust their eye test and service now?
Decided to cancel the order, but instead of being refunded my $200 deposit have been charged another $200.
So am out of pocket $400 and no glasses.

If I could give them no stars I would
After many years o f seeing the one optometrist I decided to see someone closer and decided upon OPSM. The eye test itself was good. Then can choosing the frames the woman had no idea. Hi guys,
I purchased two pairs of prescription raybans at your Warwick store on the 04/01. As of today 07/02 I’ve noticed my sunglasses have already scratched on both lenses in two separate places. I’ve been ridiculously careful with them and I’m just wondering if they are supposed to come with some kind scratch resistance as they were something like $650 in total the majority of which was for the lenses? If I could take them but I’m outside of the 30 days.

My glasses arm broke off where the bottom hinge is slightly bent and the screw fell out which I wasn’t able to find it so I’m wondering how much it costs to get it fixed at the store where I bought them if I don’t have warranty? These glasses are just a month from when I bought them.

I felt being ripped off after doing eye test with OPSM Burwood. The optometrist has verbally confirmed with me that no charges on contact lens eye test before the test. However, I was told that I need to pay $49 on the test if I don't purchase contact lens from them. Surely Medicare covers the expenses of eye test on eligible patients every 2 years and I haven't done mine for nearly 4 years. Secondly, my retina test needs to be charged $60 but it is free elsewhere in other optometrists. Feel extremely disappointed with a deceitful service and would keen to escalate this issue to relevant authorities to sort this scam out.
