I've had one of these in a rental unit for 10 years and it is still going like new. I like the e-ion function. I've used Sanitair's premium cleaning service a few times between tenants. Maybe that's why it is still like new in a rental unit.
It has all the options you need and an easy to understand remote.

The indoor unit gets noisy after 5 years and too many people complain about it I'll prefer not to buy Panasonic aircon it's better to buy some other cheaper brands and they do much better than Panasonic aircon . ...... . . . . . ? ?? ? ? ? ?

8kw to heat and cool a large area. This was chosen over other brands as Panasonic has/had a good reputation with us as we have other products of the same brand. It came with a five year warranty which reinforced our perception of a quality product and worked fine until the sixth year when it died. Cost of repair is the same as a new machine.
The dry mode setting increases the room humidity to 90% which is totally useless. What good is this setting. I was told by the seller this would 'Decrease the Humidity', however Panasonic have admitted it does increase the humidity.
As stated previously this unit does not perform as I was led to believe by the agent selling the Panasonic. When I benchmark this with similar Air conditioner Inverter such as LG (Excellent first class Air Conditioner) I am extremely disappointed with what I have to put up with.
What other bands of Air Conditione...

Once my Panasonic ran out of warranty a while back, it started playing up. Had technicians visit numerous times to get it working again over the years.. Now the timer light is blinking to tell me it needs to be repaired again... not happy.
Not happy at all with our 7.4 Panasonic Inverter air conditioner and like other reviews, cooling is good but heating is dreadful. The vertical swing does not work in heat mode and only pumps out warm air, which is not enough in really cold weather. Sorry we purchased this unit and will replace it as soon as practical. We also have a Mitsubishi 5kw unit which is a far better air-conditioner.
Cooling is OK
Heat mode is lacking.

Excellent machine. We are considering a smaller unit for the bedroom; Panasonic will be on the list. This unit is quiet and easy to set for any area condition.
Has worked well. Panasonic was initially chosen because it had the smallest head unit - had to fit between two windows. Installer (independent) said it was a good unit. It is quiet, has good settings control and appears to be economical. We have had it for five years. Bought a little larger than needed.
No real cons. There was something that had to be changed yearly to get the mountain air effect but it has not been missed. Settings can be messed up by someone with little A/C knowledge.

Bought 3 split systems, 2 ten years ago and 1 inverter 3 years ago and apart from minor problems, they have met expectations. The inverter is much better than the older models and can recommend this brand.
Attracted by the brand name of Panasonic.
The air purifiers only last about six months before needs replacing and the cost was over $50. Decided not to replace anymore. A remote on one does not work anymore and there are no manuel controls to turn on and off but is now 10 year old but have been unable to replace. I contacted Panasonic by web contact, but they did not get back to me so they lose points on that basis.

We bought this aircon for a bedroom upstairs. It does exactly what it is meant to do: it cools the room in summer and it warms the room in winter. Its a straight forward aircon, no fuss, no problems. When first turned on it gives a slight smell lbut once on temperature,l the smell goes away. We have had it cleaned once which helped with the smell as well.
We have had no problems with it whatsoever and would easily buy the same one again.
Quick cooling, easy handling.
Nothing, except for a slight smell when turned on

It is brilliant. Runs so quietly & manages to keep the house cool, even our master bedroom & sons bedroom which are at opposite ends of the house. The controller is simple & easy to use.
We couldn't be happier, would recommend it to everyone!
We have a large open plan house & it does a great job keeping it cool.
I bought this unit thinking it would be my answer to cooling and heating. The cooling is fine the heating is terrible, when you realy need it to work the dam thing freezes up and cuts out . was not told this when i bought it . also the heating takes about 8 min to start when you turn it on. Very disappointed with this unit and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
cooling is good . the heating is not good at all
cuts out when its cold outside

I've had this unit for nearly 5 years and it works really well when it's for cooling! However the biggest con is that the heating only blows warm air when it's on MAX (ie 30 degrees) and when you want to put it on automatic (say 23 degrees), it blows cool air!!! I have not replaced this unit before as it was so new but now I'm really getting fed up with having to use it on max temperatures in winter. In fact, I use it to warm up the room quickly and then I put another heater on (radiator) to keep the room warm. A bit pointless! I bought this un...

My in-laws in Sweden also have a Panasonic in Sweden which they had on constantly on a low temp "heat" setting (about 22) which only ever blows cool air so I know this isn't a one-off! A waste of money! Cool setting is good and energy efficient. Blows cool air on the "heat" setting if set to any less than the max temperature!!! Actually makes the room colder!Find out how Panasonic Reverse Cycle Inverter HKR Series compares to other Split System Air Conditioners

I wouldn't buy it again. From the start it has had a foul smell when I use the cool mode at 24-25 degrees (22 - no problem - just FREEZE!). I had something (a motor?) replaced almost immediately... and I've recently had it professionally cleaned. It's only 2 yrs old and STILL has this awful, sickening smell!
Heater function works well
As an air conditioner - MAJOR dissapointment! Foul, sickening smell at comfortable temperatures.

Panasonic airconditioners are ?*&%, noisy and underperform
Seemed great at first. My model is CSE-24HKR
Inside fan just keeps getting louder and lounder. And vibrating ridiculously which increses with fan speed. Noise started a few months after installed. Remember this ac is only 1.5 years old. I have other ac's (one 10 years old and is more efficient and the fan silent and not even a name brand). Made in Malaysia - dunno if this is the reason for the product. But would never buy Panasonic again.
To top it off, once in a while the drop tray will overflow and spill inside the room

I am very happy with the Panasonic Inverter. We have used both uinits on hot muggy days and cold days and the units have worked well in both environments. To date we have had not problems at all and would investigate the Panasonic range when the need arises.
