Terrible

published

New recipe is terrible, won’t be buying these again shame.

Purchased in May 2021 at Big W.

not ideal

published

We usually love Parker’s pretzels and choose to spend the extra money buying this brand because it always seems to be so much better quality than the generic brand but this time we were left very unsatisfied with a large chunk of the pretzels in this lump of uncooked mess.

Purchased in May 2021 at Coles for A$4.00.

First try of the new recipe. Absolutely fantastic!!!

published

I found the new recipe to be very flavorsome. The consistency appears to be lighter than what I remember from the original pretzels. Good decision to make this change.

Purchased in April 2021 at Woolworths Physical store for A$3.35.

I'm new to Parkers's Pretzels so I don't know what the old style tasted like, but as a new customer to these pretzels I can honestly say that they are more'ish and delicious! Don't change a thing I love them as they are!

Really underbaked and flavourless

published

I bought these recently after previously having bought them for at least 8 years. The last pack I had were awful. Underbaked and tasteless, totally blond. Don't know what happened to them. Thought it was a defective packet but after reading the reviews on here, probably not. Do yourself a favour, buy the Coles branded ones that are made in the USA instead. Crunchy, dark baked and salty how they should be.

PLEASS add some salt

published

These pretzels use to be great. I grew up with them salty and flavoursome.

Now they have cheaper out and the is almost NO SALT on them. As far as ingredients go salt isn't that expensive. They must notice a decline in sales.

Please please please fix these things

Disgusting

published

I purchased another packet today thinking I just got a bad packet the last 2 times. Nah....Absolutely disgusting. I’ve been buying these for years and years. It stops now unless they go back to normal. Clearly the company is using shortcuts to save $$$ well I’m not their fool anymore. Trashy product

Change the Recipe

published

Undercooked undersalted, bits of hard disgusting dough.

Everyone knows the coles and woolies brand pretzels are rubbish, it's why we spent the extra dollar on these. Not anymore unless the recipe gets changed back. What a foolish decision.

Purchased in January 2021 at Woolworths for A$2.80.

Why mess around with a good thing!

published

I don't know what they have done but the latest serving of Parkers Pretsels left me underwhelmed.
Totally tasteless, bland, undersalted and appears to be undercooked. What happened to the original brown colour?
Unfortunately I bought 2 packs!?

I am with the other 1 star reviewers - new recipe is crap

published

I LOVED Parkers pretzels...in my latest bag I thought they looked lighter, there is hardly any salt and they are not crisp. What are the health police up up to? All is not lost, my local Polish deli has some and they are big and dark and salty. I shall buy those.

What have you done Parkers?

published

One star is being generous.
Absolutely awful. Taste stale and under cooked. The pale look is also off putting. At first I thought it was a bad batch and threw them out. We then opened the second bag and realised this wasn't a fault, they changed their recipe. Why mess with a great product. Definately will not be buying ever again.

What the hell happened????

published

I have been buying Parker's pretzels my whole life and they were my absolute favourite. But I have noticed in the past year that the quality and flavour of this product has dramatically declined: there is nothing appetising about the pale colour which usually contributes a lot the the flavour (therefore has no flavour), and the salt on each pretzel is sparse and inconsistent. I am very disappointed and no longer look forward to purchasing or consuming these as they a hard miss. I'd rather go without and save my money than hope for the best and end up disappointed every time.
Please change it back!!!!

Parker's pretzels recipe change

Same as others. I thought i'd bought a different type of pretzels.
Not cooked enough, no glaze & not enough salt. Not the pretzels i remember.
Changing this recipe was a stupid decision & sales will reflect this.

Why change a great product?

published

So disappointed in the new recipe. Noticed the shape change, no big deal. First bite, if I didn't see the packet I would have thought it was another brand. Not as crispy and the flavour is slightly sweet with a texture like a soft biscuit. Will not purchase again. If this was a cost cutting exercise it was a big mistake, you will lose your loyal and regular customers. Couldn't eat more than a few, they're disgusting.

Purchased in December 2021 at Woolworths for A$2.80.
