My dog has been on dental stixs for last 5 years . At first all was good. Then after a little while dog would vommit up. We didn't even consider it being the dental stix as was having it for a while already. . As time past we still didn't consider the dental stix as he would only vommit once in a while. Dental stix was given almost daily to every to days . Then we tried to eliminate what it could be thinking his food etc . Changed that still vommit from time to time. Still not thinking dental stix as a normal thing . We stopped all treats and ...
Read moreso on. Now finally after stopping complete all treats not even a little bit of chicken and changed his food to best brand possible Ivory coat salmon and brown rice. The only thing apart was the dental stix . So we dropped that back to one every 3 days . Then was still vomiting but less. Finally we stopped and the dog stopped vomiting. Still using Ivory coat and nothing else no other treats . Wow after all this time my poor dog. It was the dental stix. My dog stopped and even looks happier. Your product is bad and personally needs to be looked at again seriously. It was clearly giving him grief for years. The stress for the dog the stress for us, the cleaning of vommit . Not worth it at all. Take your dog get his teeth cleaned once a year The costs of those dental stix will be the cost of the dog having teeth cleaned properly. The treat is not worth the pain your dog suffers . Finally after so long and all along it was those dental stix. . You should not be allowed to have this on the market. I Do not recommend I believe it's not good at all for animals .my poor dog, and the stress this product put us through is disgusting. You need to review your product seriously. It's a serious concern. I am so lucky my dog has not died. But I left I'm in pain for years not knowing it was your product. This product needs to be reported . How many more reviews re dogs being sick is allowed before this is reviewed. I am left feeling ill myself for not picking up on this earlier and leaving the dog open to more illness by continuing to give him these stix. What concerns me now is what other health issues will this have caused him moving forward . PlEASE review your product. Our fur babies are our family members too . They are not just an animal .These horrible sticks of poison made my dog so ill with explosive yellow diarrhea that she ended up on a drip. It's cost thousands. I was wondering why she was getting ill so frequently as I was giving her them intermittently. It wasn't until I gave one to a friend's dog as a treat and saw his stools almost immediately go yellow that I saw the link. How these are still on the shelves is staggering.

Without thinking I gave my gsp one of these, the first one for 6 months, within hours he had vomited and went straight into another seizure, his third in 9 months. After 9 months of torture, the penny dropped, these things are crap and are the only thing I hadn't thought of to rule out, I wouldn't let rats eat them, never again, shitte.

We just spent the last 3 hours in emergency. Our Toy Cavoodle was ok on it for the first few days but today, he went flat and limp and of course as first time puppy owner's, we went into panic mode. He was vomiting and extremely lethargic. Please do your own research before purchasing. Not worth the panic attack!

Switched from Rawhide Chews after seeing how they were made and after only 1 DentaStix, our pup became lethargic and not as keen to eat as usual eventually eating because we persisted. Next morning she vomitted and is showing signs she may vomit some more. It is the only change to her diet and happened so quickly afterwards that we can surmise it was the DentaStix that caused it.

Gave this to my dog - my reward was vomit and trails of diarrhoea all over the carpet a few hours later. And a very sad dog very under the weather for a couple of days
Dog used to love them but something must have changed because they now give her the runs and make her vomit. It's such a shame because prior to this she has been having one a day since she was a pup (she's now 4) and they did great for her gums and teeth.

I know most of these reviews are from AU but I was researching why my dogs were sick with diarrhea and excessive vomiting and turned out to be the dentastix purchased at costco last week. Do not buy this trash despite what these obviously paid reviews say.

My initial concern about the rash was for my male dog, Biscuit. He was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma and prior to the diagnosis the vet prescribed an antibiotics, since his lymph nodes were swollen, she was thinking maybe it was an infection instead, so I noticed the rash after the meds started so thought that is what the rash was from until yesterday when I noticed that my other dog, Buttercup, developed the same rash, then I realized that it was these treats. These treats gave both of my dogs a severe allergic rash on their back above thei...
Read morer tail. It also made their hair fall out where the rash appeared. I felt so sorry for them but didn't realize it was the treats until my second dog started having the rash, it just took longer for her to get it. The only change in both dogs diet were these treats so I know for sure, that it was these toxic treats. Please do not buy these for your dogs!!!!Purchased at Dollar General.
Made our 5 month old puppy vomit for a day and a half after having one of these sticks for the first time. He was better then had another one and was sick again after. He hasn't had any more and is fine again. Needless to say the rest went in the bin.

We gave our dog a 1/4 piece of dentastix (we cut her a very small piece to try) for small dogs and couple hours later she started vomiting. This product should be pulled off the market immediately as feeding it to your dog could have serious consequences!!! Please do not buy this product!!

My dog gets TERRIBLY sick after these. I would not recommend them to anyone. We took them out of her diet for MONTHS and finally gave her just ONE.. and what do you know? After months of no stomach issues, 2 days after eating these she started vomiting and having diarrhea. Seriously, if you care about your dog don’t give them these. So, so awful.
Bought these from Costco thinking that since they are from a reputable brand they’d be safe. Wow was I wrong! Within 10 hours of ingesting these treats, she was vomiting blood. I called the vet and they took her in right away as an emergency. Performed CPR on her as long as they could with no success. She passed away and we are heartbroken. If I had read these reviews and knew that these treats were straight poison, I would never have bought them. Why are these “treats” still on the market? Learn from my experience and DO NOT purchase. Spread the word, save your dogs.

Bought the sticks for my dog & started giving them to him…not even the entire stick, about half. A few days later we noticed he became lethargic & didn’t want to move. Then the diarrhea started & throwing up yellow. We gave him water so he wouldn’t dehydrate. Then he stopped eating. Just laid there an entire day & he wouldn’t go to the bathroom & when we would try to pee or poop he couldn’t, to the point of blood coming out. Next day was going to take him to the vet, my kids found him unresponsive. Passed away in my sons arms. The only change to his diet were those dentastix. DO NOT GIVE THEM TO YOUR DOG!!!!

What should I do? because my golden retriever puppy is so weak and does not want to eat. it started when they eat dentastix, my other puppy because of this, they vomitted and worms came out. the left puppy does not want to eat :( please recommend?
This probably means he has worms, causing weakness and not wanting to eat. This is very common in puppies, I would take him/her to the vet and tell them you suspect worms. I would also tell them about...
Read more his/her weakness and no interest in eating. I would stop feeding dentastix immidiatly, it is probably bad on an empty stomach. Also, puppies are not supposed to have dentastix, only adult dogs. I hope this helps! My dog just ate an entire box of 51 dentasticks. I won't feed her dinner in a few hours. I'll give her plenty of water. Other than that, anything else I should be concerned about for her?
I called the vet. Thankfully it was a box of the toy/small sticks. I had accidentally ordered the small ones.
I started giving my 8 lb Yorkie these pedigree chews and all of sudden all her teeth are loose. Can it be because these are so hard. Did I get a bad batch of hard ones?
