Pedigree Dental Dog Treats DentaStix Small Dogs

We just spent the last 3 hours in emergency. Our Toy Cavoodle was ok on it for the first few days but today, he went flat and limp and of course as first time puppy owner's, we went into panic mode. He was vomiting and extremely lethargic. Please do your own research before purchasing. Not worth the panic attack!

Switched from Rawhide Chews after seeing how they were made and after only 1 DentaStix, our pup became lethargic and not as keen to eat as usual eventually eating because we persisted. Next morning she vomitted and is showing signs she may vomit some more. It is the only change to her diet and happened so quickly afterwards that we can surmise it was the DentaStix that caused it.

Dog used to love them but something must have changed because they now give her the runs and make her vomit. It's such a shame because prior to this she has been having one a day since she was a pup (she's now 4) and they did great for her gums and teeth.

My initial concern about the rash was for my male dog, Biscuit. He was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma and prior to the diagnosis the vet prescribed an antibiotics, since his lymph nodes were swollen, she was thinking maybe it was an infection instead, so I noticed the rash after the meds started so thought that is what the rash was from until yesterday when I noticed that my other dog, Buttercup, developed the same rash, then I realized that it was these treats. Made our 5 month old puppy vomit for a day and a half after having one of these sticks for the first time. He was better then had another one and was sick again after. He hasn't had any more and is fine again. Needless to say the rest went in the bin.

We gave our dog a 1/4 piece of dentastix (we cut her a very small piece to try) for small dogs and couple hours later she started vomiting. This product should be pulled off the market immediately as feeding it to your dog could have serious consequences!!! Please do not buy this product!!

My dog loves these but it finally dawned on me that my dogs trembling and diarrohea was due to these sticks. It was the only new food i changed in the past four days. I felt so bad that it took me that long to figure it out.

Finally worked out that everytime we gave our 14month old Maltese Terrier these he started shaking uncontrollably, panting, lethargic and some frothing at the mount. It was terrible to see you like that, and I will never buy these for him again.

4 months old Bernedoodle Had an original dentastix this morning. Within 30 minutes started head tremor, twitching and lethargy Within an hour vomited twice and was drooling excessively and runny nose.

I started my dog on this product late last week. One every other day. By She didn’t want to eat they way she always does. On Sunday morning she started vomiting yellow bike. This lasted most of the day. Later that night she started vomiting a white substance. She just laid in the yard eating grass. What a horrible 24 hours we’ve had. She will still not eat, but am hoping she will later today. The only change to her diet was adding Dentastix. I will never use this product again.

Absolutely essential for dental health!
I had three opinions from local vets that my (Spaniel-sized) dog had 'severe dental health problems' and quotes varied from $400 to over $900 to rectify.
I was surprised and worried so I thought I'd try dental sticks - I initially tried some green ones but my dog had constant diarrhea and some vomiting so changed to Dentastix.
His teeth seemed to improve within weeks and a month later he had to see a vet for an injured paw.
The health report from one of the same vets on the day: "Dental health - Good"...

I just bought the combo pack from Costco and gave one of the large sticks to each of my dogs. One 30# beagle and a 90# retriever. Both through up all night about eight spots over my kitchen floor. The Dentastix was the only change in diet or food. The have now thrown up 2 nights straight. My retriever is doing better and eating but my beagle is not. She’s not eating and just laying in her bed shaking. I would say a definite side effect.calling my vet this morning.

My bischon love it but vomit just after eating it and that happens almost all the time. I gave it as a treat once a week but i will stop now after I read all other reviews and can not believe how bad this product is.

I purchased the original and beef for our 2 pits one 40lbs one 60lbs. I figures the small ones were good to try before purchasing the ones for large dogs. Gave them the chews at lunch time Saturday. Saturday night they started fussing needing to go outside. Over the next 2 days both had diarrhea. No other changes but these dental stix. These are going in the trash a waste of money..... so sad....

My dog is now really sick and he was up all night vomiting and drinking a lot of water.
still don’t know if I have to take him to the vet. He is sleeping a lot and is very upset!
