Extremely disgusting service! I understand they want to make a sale on a $60,000 car but they are uncomfortably pushy!!

Peter Kittle Holden - Port Adelaide
Name has changed from Smith's Holden but the customer service is still lousy. Service department unresponsive, tried to charge $4,500 for work I got elsewhere with warranty for $1,000. Be prepared to be on hold forever and no one to give a damn. Maybe they just charge ridiculous prices because they don't want the work.

2 Hour wait for paperwork
Took our Toyota in for full log book service at Alice Springs Toyota. Was told it should be ready by midday. Turned up at midday, car had been serviced and sitting in driveway. It then took 2 hours for paperwork to be completed so that we could pay for the service and drive our car away. Can't believe the inefficiency of the business.
I was also told that the light above number plate didn't work, neither did the rear windscreen washer. Asked what had been done to fix them, answer "Nothing, its just written here so that you know" I said it was...Read more
n't satisfactory as the number plate light not working made the vehicle un-roadworthy. The mechanic then cleaned the nozzle of the washer with air hose and replaced globe, this 5 minutes work cost an additional $25.

Hope you never have to go there (Alice Springs Branch)
My car needed warranty work, they pretended not to be able to see the problems and fobbed me off and charged me for looking at a warranty problem ! The car then blew up en route to Darwin, luckily the dealer there fixed it on the spot.

Service lies
I took my car to get a service in alice springs and was bitterly disappointed. They told me my brakes needed doing, my rear main engine seal was leaking, and they burnt out my twin batteries. I was told the extra work would be over $1200. On getting my car back I checked all the above mentioned and found nothing wrong at all. Except for replacing 2 batteries nothing was changed. Waste of time and money and very poor customer service.
How they could check the brake linings without taking a wheel off amazes me.
When travelling beware of shonky servicing.
Nothing
All of the above

Para Hills dealership
Para Hills dealership When the finance department says he is going to look after you through toyota finance and no need to go to your bank make sure you get full disclosure of their fees and charges.check your finance contract!! Mine had all the extras on it: extended warranty, gap insurance and even got charged for roadside assistance (actually a gift for the 1st year) you only have 21 days to cancel these. I was informed about these products but did not give permission to have them on my loan. Luckily I noticed mine and all removed. I had to d...Read more
o it Peter Kittle wanted nothing to do with it. So I say go to a bank and get your finance. Now I have just learned they got the toyota dealership of the year for 2013 what a joke not interested in happy customers only interested in themselves. Would not recommend anybody to go here. Will not be going back there for my services.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Terrible all around
This is regarding the Alice Springs branch as well the Toyota customer service. We bought a brand new Hi Lux back in December 2012. Knowing we had to get the car serviced according to the warranty we tried to do so each time but we were unable to book the vehicle in and so went over the km's that we had to have in it by. A couple of months ago there was a noise coming from the engine so we took it into Alice Springs Peter Kittle to be told that it was covered by the warranty and they would look at it. They proceeded to pull the whole engine out...Read more
and then informed us that considering we didnt have the vehicle serviced when it was due it was not covered . The engine is now sitting on the back seat of the vehicle as they refuse to put the engine back together if we dont pay them to do so. We have contacted Toyota Customer service numerous times only to be told they will look into it and get back to us which they never do. In fact we rang them 6 times to be told that we would receive a call back within 48 hours of each call but all to no avail. We run a transport company and all our vehicles are Toyota, in fact we have purchased over 1/2 million dollars worth of Toyota vehicles in the last 2-3 years but this will not be happening again. We will no longer purchase Toyota vehicles, we will inform contract drivers not to purchase Toyota vehicles and we will also inform our customers of the terrible service we have received. As for Alice Springs Peter Kittle and them holding our vehicle to ransom and restricting our earning power by forcing us to be one vehicle down we will never drive another vehicle through your gates to be worked on. Oh what a feeling! Not a good one!! Misleading, bad customer service, holds the town to ransom as they are the only Toyota dealership in Alice SpringsSimilar opinion? Terrible
I am referring specifically to the outlet in Para Hills. When we bought the car a month ago things started going wrong already. We came in to pick the car up (after our appointment was moved back three times in the same day by the sales person). We waited around for more than 1.5 hours before we could finally sort out the financing and then we could get the car.
When we got the new car it was not properly washed outside and it was dusty on the inside. The sales person told us we had to wait that long for the car because it was being "detail...Read more
ed". What a joke! For the first service (2 weeks) my husband took the car in to the dealership and they scratched the rim when they drove over a pavement on the way to washing the car. My husband had to negotiate to get a new rim (which is ridiculous, this should have been offered immediately when the damage was done). Today, he took the car in to have the rim replaced. He had to wait around for more than an hour (how long can it possibly take if you have an appointment?). When his key was returned he noticed that his keyholder was missing. He enquired with the service person as to where the keyholder was. The person was uncooperative and asked him for his key so that he could find out. The service person then returned and told my husband that there was no keyholder on the key to start of with! This place is unbelievable! We will never go back there again. Terrible service and rude staff. The car was on special Terrible customer service, rude staffSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worse than terrible
They had my car in to check reason for 3rd gear crunching in gearbox.
They didnt listen to what i was saying and told me [censored word removed] regarding the clutch being the problem.
I told then it was the syncros but they didnt listen, turns out i was right.
2nd gearbox fitted with the same problem, i am now wondering if they changed the gearbox after all and their communication and response times were woeful.
Poor service, poor workmanship and attention to detail, if they even did the work at all. Overly expensive. The only was to get something done by them is to complain with anger out of control.

Terrible
This business is appalling. There is no care taken. Customers are treated like cattle. The after sales service in nonexistent. There is no end to the hidden charges and fees they seem ready to slug you with. The service department is a joke (ask anyone in town). This company must be staying open by taking advantage of the naïve, the new comers and people traveling through. Check with a local before dealing with this company... and then don't.
At least it is not the only one in Alice Springs.
Ignorant staff, Poor problem resolution, Miscommunication, Lack of product knowledge, No duty of care, Over charging.

1) I sold my new Camery Sportivo so I wouldn't need to go back...
2) They quoted $800 (6 hours) to install a cruise control (I bought the factory cruise control online) on my VY Commodore... waited till I went down south and had it done in under 2 hours for $240 at the Kadina Holden dealership!!!
3) I supplied fully synthetic oil for my services on the Camry... twice found it unused on the back floor (lying on it's side) On one time they drove it back into the service area... it's then I saw that one brake light was not working... this is ...Read more
