Refused return of malfunctioning $20 lead -I have spent $1000 with this store
Bought dog lead 6 months ago clasp now malfunctioning ( almost resulting in injury of my dog ) and staff/management refusing to exchange. I have spent $ 1000’s with this store now going directly to brands I trust online ( not PetStock, at better prices ) and the ACCC.

So amazing and perfect
The staff were really friendly and I was able to get what I needed plus more which was fantastic. The have a lot of products which made it really easy for me to find what I needed quickly.

Worst customer service
When asked for assistance i was told they would be with me a in a sec. Next thing you know i was waiting 15min before i went to front register to ask for assistance. The person at front rushed to another customer to see if they needed assistance as i heard them say do you need assistance. Not sure if it was my ethnicity or the person didnt like my looks. All i know as a customer that when you open a shops door the staff shouldn't make some welcomed and some not welcomed. Management needs to get their act right and check how staff respond to customers

Bad customer service
I called up the local Coffs Harbour Petstock this afternoon and had a few questions about their live fish and what was available. The lady I spoke to named [name removed] was very rude and more or less laughed and said we don’t have any of the fish I wanted anyway! I had a $180 order online but have not gone ahead. Will not ever be shopping there again. Save yourself the hassle and just go to brontosaurus!

A great big Thank You to Petstock Mandurah for inviting my business The Parrots Perch to their Adopt a Pet Day recently. As a customer who buys all her needs from Petstock Mandurah and who we work closely together with on rehoming, Lost and Found and adoption of our birds to bird sitting their customers birds whilst owners go on holiday the best business rapport and customer service second to none .. well done Leon and all the staff who make it so welcoming from entering the shop to leaving it, without you I don't know where else our needs would be met.

PETstock poor customer service
Breeders Choice 30L Cat litter supposedly on special at PETstock is more expensive than ANY online store (with free delivers in Australia). As I was looking at my phone a PETstock employee offered me an unsolicited price match. Then I spent 8 min waiting at the checkout while the PETstock assistant checked online to see if the Australian online company that was $4 cheaper delivers to Adelaide. Really?? Does any Australian online website NOT deliver to Adelaide?? They would not process the price match they offered me of their own accord until they could see this. I i didn’t buy it and ordered online instead. Buy local? I think not. PETstock - don’t offer your customers something you won’t then honour. #poorcustomerservice

MITES!!
I bought hay for my Guinea pig. The next morning I saw my Guinea pig itching excessively and looked in the bag which was infested with mites. I took the bag of hay back the next day to let them know so no other guinea pigs would get infested. They admitted it was mites but tried to say it happens all the time and it's just the luck of the draw sort of thing. They offered no treatment for my Guinea pig either to get rid of them.

Balgowlah pet stock with reactive dog behind counter
Went to use the dog wash with my dog who was on a lead and approached the counter to purchase a coin . Waited a while even though one of the staff requested someone come and serve . While waiting my dog sniffed around the side of the counter where it was greeted with a large dog off lead . Who was clearly Not happy with someone encroaching on it territory. ad in a public place let alone a pet store I received no response at all . I think your staff need a massive wake up as if it had bitten my dog it wouldnt have been the dogs fault. How can a pet store have an aggressive reactive dog off lead behind a counter where the public only find out when it reacts . No sign . Horrible grooming experience
Lawnton PETstock store QLD - Horrible grooming experience- my little Maltese x was very sore on pick up and couldn't stop licking her bottom when I had a look at her bottom it was all red and burnt it took a couple of weeks to heal with creams, her hair cut was so shocking I was speechless, the groomer was not welcoming to my little girl just grabbed her and started ripping off her collar I had to walk away as I was about to cry I will never put my baby through that again.

Groomer was disheveled and unprofessional, drinking an energy drink while grooming my dog. He was given a shocking haircut and was left very traumatised afterwards. et for an exorbitant price to be told he had ticks not mange. After visiting 3 other vets for further opinions I was advised my dog had neither mange nor ticks and his hairlessness was as a characteristic of his breed. Horrible and traumatic experience. Never follow though with requests so why asked in the first place
Went into Launceston store with cash to buy marine fish food when they first opened was told by a shocked manager oh gosh we don't sell that I must get some in we do have all the other types. I agreed with him and mentioned that I allways buy it at petbarn in Launceston and it would be smart to also stock it. As like most other people I don't normally stop at one item either so to have something people want it makes good business sence.. three years later still no marine food I've since given up asking them to stock it and stayed clear of shop....Read more
But the other day while in close proximity I thought why not go in and spoil myself to some fish once again with cash in pocket willing to buy only to be told sorry those fish are on hold for a customer. Shocked I said well there's no sign on the tank. I was then informed they had been on hold around fortnight and he wasn't sure if they still wanted them. I politely asked if he could find out and if they never I would buy them then and now. He went away and never came back. So I selected some tropical fish food which I should have gotten at petbarn out of principal and while at the counter I was informed he could not get hold of the people so would I like to order some in it would take around a week. Umm no thanks why should a paying customer wait for a none paying customer who's had something on hold that long week. Rancid Pig Ears (Black Dog)
After purchasing a large bag of Black Dog (Pigs Ears)on Thursday the 29/8/19 from the Parafield store, we found the product/bag to have a strong, bad, rancid oil smell.
Upon returning the product for a refund 30/8/19 at 5pm, the staff were reluctant to acknowledge the strong rancid oil smell coming from the bag, or give a refund.
The manager stated that they always smell like that and she would cut them up and use them at Puppy Play School.
We have been buying Pigs Ear for our dogs for many years and they always love eating them. This time they would not touch them,The product was off.
A refund was evidently given

Petstock Essendon if you care your health stay away!!!
Their selling cat litter product was extremely dusty. Its quality was terrible. I got sick because of that it made whole house dust. I'm planning to complain to council as well. I just threw to the bin in same day but i couldn't rid of that dust from house for a while. Also price was double compare to the other shops with that quality. Such a dodgy place. Stay away

Outstanding customer service
This review should of been done a while ago but better late than ever.
Tomojin at the Balcatta branch is such an Assett to this company, she has an awesome, naturally friendly, genuine, kind personality & gives awesome customer service that deserves to be mentioned.
This level of customer service is often hard to find these days.

Decent, but not experts
Good for purchasing general items, especially for cats/dogs. However, more specific queries, especially regarding fish, they generally fall short. They do have "experts" in certain areas so if you require more specialised advice, speak to them.

In person, online ... great store.
Great store, products and staff and would recommend anyone to visit Petstock even if it’s just to see what the store offers. I had plenty of questions and no question is too small or too big and they won’t say anything just to appease a customer. My dog enjoys visiting as they are welcome in store which is great and if staff aren’t busy they will spoil your pooch.
They also have Afterpay available which has made a huge difference fo me as the diet I have chosen for my dog this time around is different and a little more expensive ... my woofe...Read more
r will be trained as my assistance dog and I only want the best for her as she will give her best for me. I wanted the healthiest diet as possible and was give information on the top brands, no pressure me to buy one brand over another ... plenty of other items to make any pet happy and healthy. My PetStock experience
I am limited in choice for pet stores where I live (central west rural NSW) and have to travel nearly two hours to my nearest PetStock store in Bathurst. My other option is Petbarn in Bathurst, or a little more closer (1 1/2 hr drive) to me Petbarn in Orange where I mostly frequent if I travel for Pet supplies. I find PetStock has a slightly larger range of products then Petbarn but also have found perhaps their prices are a bit higher. Dog grooming
I took my x3 dogs to Bacchus marsh pet stock for haircuts. Arrived only to be told the original person whom done the dog grooming had left. Left my dogs told to come back in x3-5 hours there abouts. Went back after the time to come back as they said they’ll ring when, they didn’t, when arrived they where talking near the register, and said they where about to call me. I pay for the haircuts, once back, the groomer had put on very large lead/collar on the schnauzer & the schnoodle. The car was not even 100 yards from entrance, I walked schnoodle and schnauzer and they got off as the collar was too big. The schnoodle ran around cars looking for my car, the groomer trying to catch him, which caused him to run straight on main rd Bacchus Marsh, the taxi bus didn’t slow down and hit him, causing him to have a broken left leg. The owner of Pet stock said they’ll ring ahead to the vets in Bacchus marsh and took me and my injured dog ( shadow ) to the vets. He needed surgery 6 pins and s plate as plastering wouldn’t help. Picked shadow up on the 3/11/18 after x3 days being at the vets. Never ever even got a apology from Pet stock or ask how my dog was from that day onwards . Luckily my dog came out ok after several weeks on meds and plastered to cover dressing. Will never recommend them or buy ever again.$210 for x3 dogs and $1745 later after surgery for shadow .
