What a fantastic company to deal with
On 20/12/2018 our sewerage system crashed - the pipes had become blocked due to tree roots invading them and it was embarrassing when the toilets would not fully flush and it could not have happened at a worse time with Christmas only a few days away. One of the primary reasons for accepting the quote, was that Tony kept us informed of his delay in reaching us which was late in the evening. Following acceptance, the team (initially Tyler and Matthew and later Jayden and Josh) started work - it was major task and despite the heat they kept at it and finished the job in a timely manner and left the premises in the best possible condition given the nature of the plumbing. We would commend Tyler, Matthew, Jayden and Josh for their professionalism, friendliness and standard of work performed.

https://plumberwoywoyarea.com.au when you call the 1800 number it directs to plumbing detectives answering service only to be told they don't service central coast. So much for 24/7 emergency service specifically noted for Woy Woy. What a scam!

What a let down!
Called Plumbing Detections 10:30am Saturday morning due to bad leak in the garage requiring water to be turned off immediately. Looked up “Emegency Plumbing” and called the Gold Coast branch. We were told the plumber would be here between 4pm and 6pm. At 5:50pm my husband was called to say the plumber had cancelled job due to an injury and they had no one else to send. The girl taking the bookings said they only had the one plumber for the Gold Coast!? I asked if they would be sourcing another plumber and she said no!! Seriously?? She sounded like she was just repeating dialogue from a script? No customer service whatsoever. Very disappointing! Would not recommend this service unfortunately.

Did not take away the old hot water unit!
We called 9988 1680 to get a plumber out to check our hot water service which was leaking. The plumber gave us the option of repair or replace the hot water unit. We chose to replace the unit at a total cost of $2600 with the agreement that the company would take away the old hot water unit. The replacement was done on Wed 31 Oct 2018. We paid for the service immediately. The plumber said that someone from the company would come to collect the old hot water unit in a day or two. We rang them on 2 May, 5 May and 7 May. When we emphasised that our local council is very strict on rubbish left on nature strips, we were assured that the unit would definitely be picked up the next day. Saturday 10 May 2018 - and the hot water unit is still sitting on the nature strip. We are still waiting. We have already paid for the replacement but the service is not completed as they have not taken the old unit away. Date : 27/11/18 .arrived home at 4.30pm
And discovered a burst pipe, water was spraying through the air vent. Our usual plumber was out of reach . Saw the fridge magnet of Emergency plumbing. I rang ASAP, Clay arrived in 45 minutes. Went under the house and found the problem, and the best thing was he also found another problem which would have been a big disaster! He showed all the photos with the problems. Absolutely appalling service
We had a brand new house and the hot water went out. I rang this company up and the lady said she could have someone out there in the hour. After no one turned up in an hour I then rang a further 3 times. The guy took 3.5 hours to turn up. He got out of his car, no tools, not nothing, walked around the side of the house where the cover of the unit was already removed by us. He stood in front of the unit and asked what I had done and said that he could look at it but it would void the warranty. He did not even touch the unit. So I paid $29...Read more
5 dollars for someone to walk in to my backyard and stand in front of the unit. I could have gotten my neighbour to do that. The Company refuses to refund the call out fee and in the end I rang another plumber who diagnosed the issue and asked me to check the electrical lead. Low and behold i took it out and put it back in and the unit worked. How hard was it for the first plumber to do that. Have lodged a complaint with the Fair Trading Ombudsman and will never use this Company again.2 comments

you said.....the call out was for a visual assessment of the issue and a quote. He gave me no quote. How can he quote when he didn't even touch the unit or spend time looking at it to ascertain what the issue is? He walked down the side of the house. Stood in front of the unit and suggested ringing the manufacturer. He didn't pull the lead out, he didn't touch anything, he didn't look at the system at all or even try and diagnose what the issue is. In the end it was a lead that wasn't in properly. Added to the anger was that you said you would be there in an hour and I waited 3.5 hours for him to arrive and then spend no more than 5 minutes doing absolutely nothing. That is not customer service. I am not a person who complains generally. We are tradesmen also and understand what it is to service our clients. But what I got from you was absolutely NO service. NO refund and then you post a reply which addresses NO issues at all. As I said.....you are one of those dodgy Companies that should be on a Current Affair. Avoid them They are too Expensive, think twice before calling them
They charged me $200 to do general tap servicing. They will try to scare you by saying there is a big issue, hot water system not installed properly, plumbing work not done properly, it will create big problem in future and then just do general servicing to tap and take your $200. The guy was at my place just for $17 min all up. They charge $45 call out fees and $120 to give you quotation.

Overpriced
So we got a quote to replace a storm water pipe that was broken and need re-locating total of about 2.5 - 3 meter of pipe and probably 1-1.5hrs of work and we got quoted $750 for this... probably $50 in materials, I just can’t justify spending $700 on labor...

I don't know th answer, but I wouldn't use them if they were the last plumbing company on the planet. They are a total ripp-off,
I could not agree more! They are extremely rude if you have a problem and certainly do not live up to the glowing standards they profess to uphold as listed on their website.
Avoid them like the plague!
I noticed the reviews were always referring to Adam and glowing comments after our bad experience. Follow up service is terrible no help at all. Tank finally removed after 2 months and 2 weeks and only after advising them will be contacting lawyers. Drastic action due to there lack of assistance and lack of completing the job..Never ever using them again.
