Annoying logo on the screen
We tried Quickflix last month and found the picture quality to be very poor. Pixelated and blurry. The worst thing was the "Warner Brothers" logo at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Not very transparent either. You also have to pay an additional $5.99 to watch a premium movie. We found Netflix to be much better. More titles, no logos, beautiful clean screen, great quality and no extra charges.

It is expensive streaming.
Expensive subscription and then you have to pay to watch movies.
Rude to deal with with issues,
not a great deal to pick from.
Premium not much cheaper than going to the movies.

My mistake
My review on the Quickflix free trial offer was submitted prematurely. I have since had excellent communication with the company about the issue and resolved what turned out to be my mistake.
Many people abuse the Quicklfix free trial offer by using multiple accounts and email addresses and the company doesn't deserve poor reviews..

QuickFlix Appears to be Winding Down.
A few years ago when I first joined DVDs were sent Priority Paid mail and arrived no more than three days after being sent. Most if not all are being sent from Sydney to a Sydney address.
This year (2016) Australia Post changed its mailing categories. What is Priority Paid now used to be regular mail and the DVDs take up to six days to be delivered. Yes within the Sydney metropolitan area.
QuickFlix could have upgraded the mailing system to a higher faster level and even increased fees a little. They didn't.
Now they have reduced the number of titles that they purchase.
In November my Reserve list included:
Nerve
Ben-Hur (2016)
Love and friendship.

Rip off
I cancelled my subscription, then received the last movie they sent me, I sent it straight back from the shopping centre, and now they're claiming they only received the envelope and they want to charge me for a dvd.
I have sent back dozens of dvds to them and not one has ever gotten lost in the mail, they're just annoyed cause I cancelled my subscription.
DON'T sign on with them, they are crooks.

They will sent you junk mail forever 3-5 times are day!! They say you cannot unsubscribe because its
My subscription lasted 1 day. The worst of the online streaming. You pay $9.99 a month and then they charge you to watch what they say is premium movies which is the majority of their content. Many of these Premium content is already available on netflix at no extra cost. I recommend Netflix. They are much better and cheaper.
Even though I unsubscribed they will send 3-5 junk emails and there is no option to unsubscribe from their mailing list because they say its a service email! Will be taking this further.

QuickFlix have gone down hill
You cannot contact QuickFlix by phone anymore, you have to email and they don't get back to you.
You don't get what you pay for, the product doesn't arrive on time, if you get it at all. You get charged for something/account that doesn't even exist.

Declining service
I have been a member for nearly ten years, and have seen this service steadily decline: slower delivery times, increased delays before sending discs out, fewer Blu-ray titles, fewer alternative films, more damaged discs, and poor customer service. I have persisted until now because I like to watch Blu-ray DVDs and have insufficient internet service to stream. Recently I complained that no discs had been sent out for three days. I was informed that no discs were available although I had 40 titles in my queue. When I complained further, they cancelled my subscription.

Lousy Quality
I've been with Quickflix for a couple of years. I even upgraded to two DVDs in circulation. But unfortunately the service has gone from mediocre to really bad. My complaint is quality: about 50% of the discs do not play on the first time and at least half of these cannot be played even after several cleans. I've been over and over this issue with them to no avail. I am suspending the service this weekend and I probably will drop them when I find an alternative, if anyone knows of a decent alternative...? Second thoughts, I'll drop them anyway the useless bunch of crap.

DVD service is unrepliable
Spot on.
I have discs returned. 5 days later they still haven't send anything from my queue.
Yes they try to blame Australia post where they can.
They take no responsibility but happy to charge for a total lack of service.
Lucky to receive 2 disc a month makes it expensive.
Not everyone has the ability to stream and this was a good alternative.
Terrible

Once a great service, these guys are absolutely hopeless now. Scratched DVD's, misleading offers, no customer service, streaming is unreliable, disks take forever to come. Forget it!

DVD service waste of money and time
We recently moved into a house where we could not have WIFI and unfortunately there is no DVD rental service anywhere nearby. We thought Quickflix DVD postal service would be perfect for us and was not really expensive. We tried the 1 month free trial and then paid for a 2n month.
In the 2 months we received 7 DVDs, out of that 7 only 2 were actually watchable.
I expressed my disappointment to the company on a number of occasions. Most times i just got a generic "we are sorry, we will endeavor to do better"reply. On one occasion we did receiv...Read more

This firm under control of administrators who seem hell bent on destroying it
I have been a loyal and very long term customer of Quickflix, my membership having been "bought" from Telstra Bigpond. It is now time to pull the plug on them however. They are not delivering to their stated promises of service.
I have been a DVD delivery customer due to my unreliable and slow ADSL service The DVD delivery service used to be reliable but now almost non existent. I currently have no discs out and none on the way. Quickflix promises to send our a new disc from your queue whenever you pre-notify a disc has been returned. Where t...Read more

Pass this by
I signed up for free 2 month trial of Quickflix (shop-a-docket coupon) and found that only one of our 2 Sony Blu-Ray players could sign in to their service (not located in our preferred viewing room). That aside, the buffering was sloooooow and picture quality seemed average thru the hi-def system.
THEN ONLY ONE MONTH INTO FREE TRIAL THEY ATTEMPTED TO DEBIT A PAYMENT ... thank goodness it was a debit card used which maintains a low balance to pay for services as they are due - on this occasion they were more than happy to grab funds before I had considered staying on only half way thru the trial period.
Well Bye-Bye Quickflix - chalk up another dissatisfied customer !!!

Quickflix won't work
Having signed up to Quickflix some weeks ago have viewed one movie. Since then it won't accept my e-mail and password. Help centre useless. no phone number to contact. Quickflix will not reply to my e-mails or on line request for help. Utterly useless. DO NOT SIGN UP TO QUICKFLIX

What's happened to QuickFlix? Are they in receivership? Service looks like it.
Been a loyal Quickflix member since it first came out as I was automatically transferred over from the original BigPond service. Service was great. New DVDs routinely came a couple of days after I sent the old ones back and if a DVD became lost on return, which sometimes happens, Quickflix didn't automatically blame the customer. Apparently demand letters are being sent for $80 for any lost DVDs!! Wow. Buyer beware on that one.
However my real concern is that customer service has completely disappeared!! No phone number and if you're lucky e...Read more
nough to get an email response up to a week after you sent it, it's often a standard line which doesn't solve your problem, so you have write again - and wait. I have about 50 videos in my queue, but they eventually told me they have nothing to send me after I was waiting 1-2 weeks since returning my retun DVDs! They suggested I add a few films that aren't popular - which I've invariably seen, since I've been on the service so long. Then, after I complained that nothing was coming, they suspended my account saying my payments were not being successfully made!! There is nothing wrong with my PayPal Or credit card payment methods but neither are being accepted. So this hold appears to be a choice by Quickflix because they can't supply. They sound very desperate indeed. No one has communicated anything to me about this and they don't reply to my emails!! Just rude after I've been a customer for so long. What a way to manage a business!! And before I raised it with them, they were just taking my money and not supplying the service. Very cheeky - and unlawful. The streaming (that I've been paying for as well) hasn't worked in months either!! Sounds like it's really hit the fan for them, so definitely think twice before subscribing.Similar opinion? Why is quickflix so terrible and greedy?
Greedy. Pay for a subscription then pay for the films/ TV series you want to watch. Once your wallets been gouged multiple times, anything you need to watch buffers every 10 mins. Urgh bang your head against the wall rather than get in bed with quickflix. They're the herpes of streaming apps. (I wrote this during the many many many buffering moments.) Oh they do have a small selection of things to watch. Entourage was pretty good. God it's buffering again. Kill me now. Why did I ever pay for this vomit product. My PS4 will need a penicillin shot. Oh it's buffering again!!!

Can't access movie I have paid for and attempted to download.
I am unable to view a movie I have paid for on my Tivo. I have contacted customer service by email and have not received a response. My movie expires in 24 hours, and I haven't been able to see it. Terrible customer service, not even a phone number to call.

Not too happy with Quickflix
I have been with Quickflix for a long time - have seen most of what I wanted. Now I have four or five dvds that I would love to see but they have been marked "LONG WAIT". I have been waiting for months and months for these dvds to become available. I wonder why they allow a person to add dvds to a queue if they are not available.

Questions & Answers

I am going away for the month of March. I will be posting the movies that I have now before I go. Is it a good idea to cancel for the Month of March or receive the movies, watch them and then send back in April?
2 answers
If you go to Manage Account, you have the option of pausing your subscription for up to a month if needed. I've used in the past myself. I would suggest the best idea would be for you to post the movies and pause your subscription at the same time just before you go away. When you come back, you can get it going again.
Thank you

Well Quickflix has done it again. It was up & running there for the last few weeks & now on the Xmas break the website won't activate. Maybe a maintainence problem again, but this is getting ridiculous. Last time I complained I got a months free. This is too unreliable. Should I close account or wait?
3 answers
I'm thinking of closing my account. But I'd like to ask, how did you complain? I've hardly had a thing sent to me over the last few weeks, and my monthly payment is due again early January. I don't think I've received the service I've been paying for at all.
Cancell your card.
Why pay for a service that is unreliable.
I complained here and got billing date extended to Feb. https://help.quickflix.com.au/hc/en-us

Checked webpage & it has got a Maintenance page on the website Is the website down permanently & if not how long will it be under maintenance?
Will we be getting credit for the time down of the website?

Finally it looks as if they are under maintenance, asking us tobe patient etc . I just hope they get on with it because everyone is getting fed up with not being advised as to what is happening. Will give them a few more days and see what happens.
They have been maintaining for over a month ... I want to close account .. with it down I worry I have no access
So I had a good whinge to Quickflix re the lack of communication, etc. They have extended my billing date to Feb for the inconvenience. Anyone else receive a similar offer? If not, give it a go.
