It's not what it costs you get what you pay for as a pensioner I would not be without it just a few months back I needed a battery was replace at home and a flick service check from. Around 100dollars a year to premium I have the basic and .over 10years have needed help dozens of times they always gave outstanding service thank you RACQ PJ.. Xoxo.
Can you really put a price on the following...driving 110kph, car stalls, pull over, car wont start, oil on road under car, motorway traffic flying past you at 110kph, hot day of 32c, no where to go, call RACQ and there in 20 minutes to help and a free bottle of water. Arhhh, LIFE SAVERS !. bye

If I cancel my roadside assist that I have paid for the whole 12 months, will I get any of my money back? I no longer need the roadside assist.

With RACQ you will not get a cent back unless you have another vehicle with them, and even then they will first tell you NO REFUND but if you bar up they change their mind. Appalling service even though I did get what I wanted. Personally if it's not illegal then it is simply disgusting company policy. If there was any other option I would be out of RACQ in a flash - and I'm a Silver member with over 20 years membership....

When did the RACQ legal advisory services for car related issues stop? I was told it was 3 to 4 years ago? Was their consultation? I've asked RACQ to bring it back but if you also find it useful it would be helpful for you to reply so RACQ knows it's not just me who misses it.

I'd go with Ultra, giving you maximum protection. I think you can pay by the month. If not, you'll get a refund of your premium not used.
I would recommend switch to nrma instead
You don't get a refund. Avoid RACQ at all cost.
