Waste of money - doesn't work and Rheem won't fix iy
What a frustrating experience.
The system has died on us after two years.
We live 35 min from Canberra but Rheem will no travel to even look at it. There solution is to send a repairman from an hour and a half in the other direction but we pay his travel costs.
What a complete waste of money. The system just sits there, doing nothing. The hot water boosts off the instantaneous gas.
Do not go near this product or company.

Update. We finally managed to get someone to come and fix the system. The guy was really good and it turned out to be an easy fix. The biggest issue we had though was with customer service continually... Read more

Absolutely shocking warranty repair service.
Unit has never worked from day one. Given two whole day waiting appointments which were cancelled with no advice given. On both occasions I have to call up only been told technician was unwell on first appointment. No explanation was given on second cancellation. On one occasion I was offered their appointed service agent which I have to pay despite the unit is still under warranty. e no shame on their terrible behaviour and dared telling me that I must accept the same waiting whole day third appointment. Only after my refusal to accept and asking to talk to their CEO and seeking compensation, a 08:00am, supposed to be first appointment of the day was arranged. Yet, on the day, the technician did not show up until 09:30am. I am in a townhouse which is nearly 4 years old I have a Rheem Solar water heater 160L model 51116102. There is no problem with the operation of the hot water service but there is a green light at the bottom of the water tank which pulsating and flashing on and off and making a noise which is very annoying when you are outside.is this correct?

We have lived in our home for almost 3 years now, water was gushing off the roof recently so my husband contacted the builder, who then sent his plumber out to have a look. Said it was the o ring that needed replacing and that he couldnt do it as he didnt have the ring. My husband then got onto Rheem, who sent their plumber out. He said that it was caused by frost and warranty doesnt cover for this. He disconnected it from the solar.
Why not? How can you be using parts that are not relevant to the areas that are prone to frost?
