Hi Meri Mltrevski,

When GREEN appliance is in standby, when RED the burner is operating and when
flashing RED there is a fault. If the light is not flashing red, then the heater is operating correctly.

The Rinnai 13 that was in my house when I bought it has never seemed to have a functioning thermostat - it never turns off even if you're well above the set temperature. Is this a common problem and/or could it be easily fixed by a service technician?

Hi Luke H, this is how the unit operates normally and is not a fault with the unit. It will modulate down but not switch off. We would recommend contacting our technical help desk on 1300 555 545 and they can explain the operation of the unit in different modes.

Hi Andrew M, thanks for the question. There is a conversion kit available to convert the Enduro heater from Natural Gas to LPG. You can order the kit through any Rinnai stockist with part number 90183515. The kit will need to be installed by a licensed plumber.

Rinnai A.Rinnai

Hi Jo D,

The thermostat will control the unit between 16/26 degrees.

Unless L (for low) is selected and it stay on low flame constantly.

If H (for high) is selected, it will stay on high flame constantly also the timers can turn the unit off and on.

I have attached the link to the manual for you below.

Hi! Our house is a terrace and open plan up to the first floor. 40 sq metres in front room which is partly open to another 40 sq metres of kitchen and family room. Last year I borrowed a 516TR Convector which warmed the whole house really. It was plugged in in the front room. We do also have a gas connection in the family room out behind the kitchen. Will the Enduro 13 Convector heat these areas from the front room connection just the same or should I look for a more powerful heater? Thanks. Regards, Annabelle

Thanks for the question Joel J, it is unusual to have an error code with this type of heater and as a portable unit you can return to the store of purchase within a month and swap it for a new heater. Alternatively you can book a service call for the unit through our Rinnai website:

Hi there, where can I get this heater serviced and how often should it be done? Is this heater definitely safe with out the flue? Thank you.

Hi Eva-Marie,

Thanks for the question. Government recommendation states that gas heaters should be serviced every 2 years. The Rinnai Enduro 12 is safe without the flue, provided it is operated within the guidelines stipulated by Rinnai.

If you would like to book a service, please refer to our website with the following link https://www.rinnai.com.au/support-resources/online-service-booking.

We have a new Enduro and is it normal for cold/warm air to come through with hot air. Air flow is just not consistent even though the room is heating up. Whenever we walk past the heater we can feel cold air coming out. Any thoughts.

Does the Rinnai Enduro 13 allow you to set the on timer and have it stay on for more than an hour? My Rinnai comes on automatically when I set the on timer but it turns itself off after 60 minutes and I'd hoped it would stay on. I do not use the off timer.

I believe the issue may be with my timer but i can't figure out what would cause this issue. If anyone could help me out that would be much appreciated.

I purchased the enduro 13 2 weeks ago and it is very quiet when in use but when I turn the heater off there is a crackling, clicking noise that I can only assume is the fan. I had a rinnai gas heater for 20 years prior to purchasing this one and never had the same noise when the heater was turned off and cooling. Is anyone else experiencing similar issue?

We bought an Enduro 13 last week. Can’t work out why Set Temp is 22, room temp is 24... but the heater continues to blow hot air. Shouldn’t it only turn on when the set temp is above the room temp???

When we turn the heater on the turn on light goes green after about 20 seconds it goes red any answers why please?

1 answer
Rinnai
Rinnai A.Rinnai

Hi Ron, Thanks for your question.
When you turn the heater on the green light is letting you know the heater is activating the ignition process, once the heater ignites the light turns red to indicate the heater is operating correctly.
If you would like more information on your model heater please go to our website - www.rinnai.com.au where you can access information and download product manuals.

Thanks for the question Pete, most heaters can be converted from one gas type to the other. To be sure your model is eligible, we would recommend calling our technical help line on 1300 555 545 option 3 with the model and serial number located on the side of your heater. The team can check and give you the necessary part number for the conversion kit.
