Do not waste your money- they dont even deserve a one star
Stay away from this company as they state all their terms and conditions when requesting repairs. Its really amusing to me when they advised me they could not repair drivers side door as it extends across multiple panels BUT there was no damage to the door, there was only one scuff mark which I was able to remove myself!!!! They also advised they could not repair dent on the front guard due to style/metal folds, this area just requires a dent puller. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RIP OFF COMPANY
Absolute joke
I have a scratch on my door but it doesn't meet the very strict criteria of being a single line. It was one tiny scratch but it is vertical instead of horizontal so they have denied it. Took 3 weeks to get to this point. Don't waste your money as very little meets their criteria.
Dent repair fail
Make sure you ding your car in the right place!!
Otherwise your claim will be rejected. This is for a dent less than a fingernail in size!

Advertising claims all dents will be fixed!!

It is one of the well organised scam
Any damage you submit are rejected under terms and condition, and the positive reviews you see are just bought reviews. They have their terms and condition nice and uptight. Anything that gets accepted, those job won’t be even worth 50$. I mean the tech literally uses a brush to paint the scratch which even you can do or a kinder garden person.

Poor service and poor customer support
Everytime I book for a repair, they say it doesn’t cover. They take a few weeks to call back. I booked internal sanitisation, an agent came without any idea what to do, he didn’t have any equipment for sanitisation. One day wasted. I booked another internal sanitisation on 21st sept. I still haven’t received a call for booking. But, a schmick agent called to say that he’s coming to do the sanitisation tomorrow morning, without a booking. Poor communication. Utter waste of money.

I took out this insurance against minor damage when I purchased my new Kia Sportage. I took this out in good faith and the Schmick cover is useless as they will only fix a 6mm dent. The dent in the car door is very shallow but bigger than 6 mm. They will not do a partial fix as I asked them to do. I was advised when I purchased this to increase my insurance excess as I had both a dash camera and the Schmick. I feel the cover is basically useless and disgusted that people push this onto new car buyers. Only wish I could give no stars.

Schmick has recommend visiting a panel shop for repairs on this occasion to return these damages to 100% industry standard for “very minor scratches”.
I paid $1000 for the membership and this was my first request for repair which is just casually ignored by Schmick.

To any prospective purchasers of a Schmick policy, be aware. The glossy presentation does not match the service. Firstly the technicians I have had are first class. Having said that, it is a painful Company to deal with. Once you contact Them, it takes days to decide whether to do a repair and notify the policy holder. I wish there was an option to give zero stars.
This service was sold to me promising of prompt service and convenience of coming to me for repairs. I just submitted my first repair request to fix minor damages to alloy wheels and couple of minor scratches. I was informed of a few Work Place conditions that needs to be satisfied to carry out the repairs at my place. These are not listed in their T & Cs.
• Two metres empty space around the car
• Should be an open space with good lighting.
• Not accessible to anyone else.
• No sprinklers around the area.
• Easy access to power
• Cannot be done in underground car park.

Absolute rip off
Really disappointed in this membership - all insurance companies try to make it impossible to claim repairs but this is next level. The terms and conditions they fail to tell you when you sign up at a dealership is that external scratches have to be under 6cm. I am certain that anything that scratches my car (a shopping trolley, something scraping against it etc) will not leave something as small as 6cm. Keep in mind getting a 6cm long scratch is probably cheaper at a body shop than the $50!!!. Next was internal leather, I had a 4cm by 4cm scratch - they only cover up to 0.5cm. So basically you're only covered if a safety pin pricks your leather. Horrible rip off as a company.

I have used Schmick and they were good with responsiveness, quality of repair etc. Not sure what happened these days with them, I had to follow up for repair request and for each email comms - otherwise I won’t hear any response from them even after a month. My claims are blindly getting rejected after all the follow ups saying it’s more than repairable length/diameter - though I have proved them with measuring scale that it is under the measurements they guaranteed.

Rubbish repairer's
Absolute waste of money. Told repairer if he was unable to repair my rims properly then not to touch them. He sanded all the damage down with a sander now all edges of the rims are uneven and what was supposed to be finished in shadow chrome where just spray in a normal base metallic paint that looked green. I had another guy come to redo them and he said he will fix it and that he could see that they where done poorly and redone them and the finish is crap and now the paint is flaking off. I’m not one to normally post reviews but I strongly suggest avoiding Schmick, this company is hopeless at adhering to appointments that are booked in advance and decide to text their customers at 11:35pm on a Sunday night cancelling the appointment for 9:00am the next morning. This is not only unprofessional for people like myself who take the day off work to work around their limited availability but also the fact that Schmick has no alternative technicians to send when one of their technicians is 'unfit for work'. I have written to their complaints email address but nobody from Schmick even bothers to acknowledge a complaint which shows how much they care for their customers. I have now requested for Schmick to cancel and refund my membership to which I dare say they will refuse and I will have to pursue this matter with Fair Trading. Not worth it...too many dollars and too much hassle
Ive just spoken AGAIN to Schmick about their misleading poor value for money service that is foisted on us when we buy an expensive new car. I know its our choice to buy but at the time you dont read the fine print which basically says we cover you for very minor scuffs etc. They also dont point out how difficult it is to have the service carried out in busy Sydney..so the reality is when its time to get service they make it INCREDIBLY difficult to get any. What is charged and what is delivered dont match. Do yourself a favour and save the money and spend it on a real repair company when the need arises.
