Pick up service is handy, but for me the prices have been higher than Aust Post
Have recently started using Sendle as I am housebound for awhile and cant get to the Post Office. I really like the pick up service BUT have been unpleasantly surprised with their delivery costs which on 2 of my 3 uses have been significantly higher than Australia Post. On contacting their Customer Service I just received a very generic reply with links to their price charts.
I would also mention that the Australia Post lodgement service, where the parcel is handed over the counter and a tracking number given to more reassuring and easily conf...
Read moreirmed than the Sendle service where you cant be sure whether your parcel has been collected by Sendle or perhaps stolen. So, in short, the service is very handy for me right now but costwise I will be returning to Australia Post.

Can do better
Package arrived significantly late.
After an attempted delivery, prompting and an investigation, the situation was rectified. Other carriers better

Hit or Miss - quite often miss
Package often not picked up on time, nor the next day, nor the next day.
No phone number to call them for support - bit prehistoric really.
Customer service people, have not been given the tools to track the drivers and see when they are picking up the parcels, once again quite prehistoric....why bother having people there in the first place if they can do anything.
when they do pick up the parcels get delivered in good time, except for WA anyone would think it was going overseas, in fact overseas deliveries are quicker.
overall, very hit or miss - not the best service at all.

Missed pick-ups and grumpy drivers
I use Sendle through ebay because they're sometimes cheaper than Austpost and they will pick up parcels from your house at no additional charge.
Pros:
1) Cheaper and sometimes quicker
2) Pick-up from your location is free
3) Drop off parcel locations
4) Quick response for lost items (Via email only though)
5) Ebay discounted rate
Cons:...
Read more1) Grumpy drivers who give you attitude for having to come and pick up 1 item and tell you to drop it off at a drop-off location next time. 2) Multiple missed scheduled pick-ups, which means you've wasted a day waiting around for them. 3) Third-party contractors sent to pick up parcels from you that don't have a scanner. This means your parcel only gets scanned in their system when it reaches the depot. Even though you may have paid for insurance, do you feel comfortable handing over your parcel without it being scanned as picked up, and how can you prove it was picked up if it somehow went missing on the way to the depot? 4) My local drop-off location will only accept Sendle items through Couriers please and not Fastway. They said Fastway don't pick up their parcels on time and they don't have the storage room, so they stopped accepting items from them. When you view/print your label it will tell you which carrier it's going through. 5) Costs more if go direct.- Incentivised Review No

Stressful, business reputation ruined!
**updated*** package arrived in time. Refund on delivery charges.
Lately we've been extremely disappointed with the service. Our customer is waiting on a wedding dress and she's getting married this weekend!!! They tell me they have 'escalated' the matter and it will take 72 hours. It's 'misplaced' apparently. This is so urgent as Sendle are about to ruin a bride's wedding day. Previously they have also completely lost a wedding dress, never to be seen again. Use DHL and don't risk the stress!!

Fine until you need support with a refund
The first time I did a big mail out with Sendle, they were all the same item but 1 out of the 50, for example, cost more/was measured bigger. They did provide a refund on this occasion and were responsive.
The second time I did a big mail out and was overcharged, I tried to contact sendle 11 times over four months and received the same automated response each time until I gave up.

mostly on time but when they arent they are very late and hard to contact
Seems like every week I am chasing up another late delivery and this is during the quite time for us. Getting a response for a late delivery is very difficult and takes along time for the response.

Started off so well but disappointment in recent minths
I have used Sendle countless times and was very happy with the prompt, reliable and efficient service. Over the past few months however I have had some issues and this has tainted my experience and confidence. I had one delivery completely shattered even though it was wrapped and cushioned to oblivion and had large red fragile stickers on every face of the box. It was obviously dropped from a great height to have suffered the damage that was caused. The costs were completely refunded however I had to jump through hoops to get it….be warned…take...
Read more lots of photos of the goods, packaging and box before you send anything! Currently I am fighting another claim for a drawing tablet that has gone “missing” yet the tracking shows a strange pathway and a third party involved. I am thinking it was left on the doorstep and stolen even though we asked for a signature. I am not a happy person and may be going back to Australia Post for sending goods. Update, 22/1/22 So, the computer drawing tablet collected on 14/12/21 from Adelaide to be sent to Victoria still has not been delivered! The tracking history shows a 3rd party was used to complete the delivery, no mention of what the company is. The tracking history also shows the parcel has been onboard for delivery no less than three times since 13/12/21. It is now 22/1/22 and the parcel has still NOT a been delivered! I launched a claim on 12/1/22. Suddenly the tracking showed on 14/1/22 the parcel was back on for delivery! A week later still nothing. How convoluted has this process been? Who is this third party? Given the box is quite large how can is just disappear? Someone is not being honest. I am now waiting for someone to contact me AGAIN from Sendle. My advice to you? Use Sendle at your own risk. Take out extra insurance if need be and don’t think it will be okay. Never ever again will I use Sendle. They just seem so blaze about goods getting lost (or stolen) and their attitude is “make a claim”. Maybe using a third party is where the problem starts. Oh yes, even though it is an option on the website apparently due to covid they do not allow a signature on delivery…..convenient for them!- Incentivised Review No

OK until ....
I received updates on where my package was and it was left in a safe place. However, I was not pleased when I received an SMS at 10pm that night, I was in bed asleep, to say that my package could not be delivered.

Parcel delivery timings are inconsistent
I've sent three parcels with Sendle: Sydney to Brisbane, Sydney to Canberra, Sydney to Sydney. Sydney to Brisbane was by far the quickest, even though the Sydney to Sydney one is a one hour drive away. Why is there such discrepancy in timing? Also, one of the parcels was squashed, and thankfully the print inside the sturdy cardboard tube was undamaged, but it was probably damaged while sitting around the warehouse for days on end. I think I will be changing delivery partners. It's just too inconsistent. The tracking information is also not detailed enough. I like that they pick up from my business, but that is the only real benefit over the post office.

Disappointing.
From Pick Up, which was perfect as I did not have to wait all day for the Sendle representative to arrive, to 2 weeks in transit the service was not as fast as I expected. Disappointing.

Questions & Answers
I sent a parcel with 2 items inside but when the buyer received it and opened it, it only had 1 item inside. Now, I'm going to be out of pocket because I have to refund the buyer the item that somehow disappeared. They even put the wrong update in the tracking, they said they left a card but the buyer said there wasn't any card and when they finally delivered they said the other guy was new and put the wrong update in the tracking (sound a bit dodgy!). I think they need to get rid of these drivers as they are stealing and they're not good for the business. Now, do I have any chance of getting anything back for this missing item?
Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that an item was missing when the parcel got delivered. This is not how we wanted the delivery experience to be like. Please send us a message via sendle.com/help, and we'll do our best to assist you with this. Thank you.

About Sendle
Sendle uses a ‘hub and spoke’ delivery model, compared to a point-to-point system. This means that deliveries don’t take couriers out of their way. Drivers are already traveling on their normal routes, in their local areas, when they pick up parcels and load them for delivery. This not only saves time, but emissions, as it eliminates the need for extra cars on the road.
Is Sendle only for businesses?
Yes. Sendle is designed for small to medium-sized businesses and online retailers, rather than individuals. It’s designed to streamline the shipment of products to customers.
Features
- There is a price guarantee that Sendle’s door-to-door delivery will cost less than the post office, for same-city and national parcels.
- Sendle offers a choice to have your parcels picked up from home/ business address, or you can drop off parcels at other official locations. These national network locations include BP petrol stations, newsagents and chemists. With locations that are open 24/7, you can drop off parcels to them at unusual hours, like at night or on weekends.
- Customers can book a shipment online, print the label, and await pick-up or take parcels to the nearest location. Sendle requires customers to provide their own packaging.
- Sendle delivers parcels locally, nationally, and internationally. There is the option of paying standard one-off fees per parcel, or signing up for a plan. The domestic plans offer a reduced rate per package, provided you send a minimum number of parcels monthly (20 parcels monthly for Premium, and 200 parcels monthly for the Pro plan). There is one international plan, Sendle Premium, which requires 20 minimum parcels to be sent monthly.
- The Sendle Toolbox in the online Sendle dashboard allows you to perform various functions, like enabling Sendle tracking, writing pickup instructions, rescheduling pickups and drop-offs, managing deliveries, and viewing information on parcel investigations.
