Sharp 624L French Door SJF624STSL Questions & Answers (page 2 of 3)
44 questions from our users
Hi,
This sharp SJXE624FSL comes with the following dimensions.. 892 (W) * 1720 (H)* 771 (D)
My fridge space specs are as 900 (W) * 1800 (H)
My question is does the width which i have is sufficient to put in this fridge. Though it requires 892 MM width and mine is 900 MM width, does the fridge itself need any additional space on the sides for ventilation.
Please advise

Hi, I recently purchased a brand new Sharp SJF624STSL refrigerator from Goodguys. The noise level is EXTREMELY LOUD compare to my old Samsung refrigerator. I have sufficient clearance for top and sides as per the manual. However, when the compressor is running it is making a repetitive annoying noise for 30 mins comprising of loud and quite and loud again and so on.Please take a look at these videos I have recorded.

2) direct from the compressor

Can anyone tell me what there settings are on fridge and freezer that they think is doing the job well?
I am sick of trying different settings, I just want to see what the most popular ones are. I know it depends on your climate and such but just for a general idea.

These temps are recommended by the US food and drug administration agency...

Thanks for the replies Sharp and Walton! I looked into this and it's going to cost $220 to remove the doors and bar. I then have to move the fridge myself into my house and then they will reattach the doors and bar. That's a bit much if you ask me.
we looked at this frig in store and love everything except....the doors feel as though when you get it almost closed there is a resistance as though it doesn't want to close. the frig was not connected to power so am wondering if there is a mechanism which provides positive closing when power is on? compared to the other fridges it seems as though it would be easy to inadvertently have a door left open.

It needs a physical push to close (doesn't just slowly swing closed like our old one did if the kids left it open) so good to be aware of !

Read moregentle push and the fridge also starts to beep at you if you have left the door open.I have bought a Sharp SJF624STSL about 2 weeks ago. Its been running like a dream until about 2 days ago. I went grocery shopping and added a few items to the freezer, steaks etc and 2 days later they still have not frozen. Last night I dropped the freezer temperature from -18 degrees to -21 degrees and left it overnight and this has made absolutely no difference. My freezer goods are still not frozen and I suspect that the only reason that everything hasn't defrosted is because the freezer is maintaining a temperature a little colder than the fridge. This is a pretty serious issue that I would like addressed asap. As you can imagine I have food that is about to spoil in fridge/freezer that I purchased only 2 weeks ago. We are looking to purchase a new refrigerator and like the look of the Sharp Sharp SJF624STSL. We haven't seen one in the flesh as the local stores don't have one in stock.
I would like some information about the doors & seals that may help in our purchasing decision. Are the doors self closing or do they have to be forced closed? Do the doors have a centre post to seal against or does it rely on rubber to rubber contact? Do the crisper trays have metal runners or plastic wheels? Thank you in advance. Ernie.

I believe 7200mm is a typo. Anyway, the height of the fridge is 1700mm and minimum 90mm headroom is mentioned in the operation manual. Beware that 60mm or more space is required on both sides as well....
