We bought the SJF624ST model in January 2015 and it has worked fine if one ignores the occasional loud noise (almost like a small gunshot) that occurs once or twice a day and some occasional motor noise. However, today the ice maker and the top part of the left hand freezer are not freezing - they are cold but not freezing.
I checked the manual but there is no reference to this issue.
Can you please advise me what is the problem and what needs to be done to repair it

We bought our sharp french door 624L sjxe624fsl in Oct 2016. We have found the fridge to be in perfect working order until today. We had a power outage for about 2hours. Our whole neighbourhood was affected. When the power returned our fridge did not restart. We have read our manual, pulled it out from the wall socket and trued another power point in the kitchen and nothing!
There was no smell of anything, the control panel is dead. We have pressed the buttons on the control panel and nothing!
This is very upsetting because we have frozen foods and other stuff in the fridge and we will have to throw out tomorrow. Its 1.30am and feeling pretty bad. Whats your advise?

Hello, Im REAL SORRY to hear of your plight in relation to Sharp we are hear in Sydney,
and found with this lot there is NO I repeat NO so called service in any way shape or form, typical housing industry scenario.
Once they have got your dough that is the last you see of them .The only thing I can suggest is call a fridge repair company who does actually provide service.
And try to recover your repair bill through NCAT small claims tribunal, other than that, i dont know. Good luck !!!.ps let me know how you get on.
Since the warranty period is over, The above mentioned suggestion is upheld.

I Purchased the Sharp SJ-F624ST-SL fridge 2 & 1/2 years ago from the Good Guys. Performance has been wonderful but over the last week, we are concerned about a loud noise made by the motor when it runs which is most disturbing as we can hear it when we are upstairs. Has anyone else had this problem? Should we be worried about it? Does anyone know what causes this noise? Any ideas or help would be appreciated

My SJ-F624ST suddenly stopped working. (Both freezer and fridge fully stocked!) Led lamp and temperature display turns on but switches off after 1 minute. A sound can be heard as if it's about to start up but doesn't. What can I do? Still covered by extended warranty from Masters ( with receipt)

It turned out the fridge (bought 2 1/2 years ago) was not covered by an extended warranty and the compressor was unrepairable. I phoned Sharp Customer Care ( very helpful and polite) and was told I could make a request for an out of warranty service repair. I provided all the necessary documents (proof of purchase, report from technician, etc) wasn't very hopeful that much could be done but hoped to at least be reimbursed for technicians visit and maybe a discount on a new fridge. I received a reply within 2 days to say I would be refunded the full price of purchase! Will be buying another Sharp fridge with the money. Extremely professional and polite customer care staff.

I have an SJF624STSL which has died suddenly - it is stocked with about $400 of food, which I cannot afford to replace (on disability support pension after a house fire & had multiple amputations) I still have the proof of purchase documents - including an extended warranty which is still in effect (within the said time).
Is there any likely cause or specific detail I should look for to see what has caused it to completely die?

Purchased this fridge 2 years ago in Jan 2015 from Harvey Norman and we are enjoying our first experience with a French door fridge/freezer. Love the wide shelves and accessibility of the space in both section - fridge and freezer. Performance has been most satisfactory but we are concerned about a couple of annoyances. First is the loud noise made by the motor when it runs which is most disturbing to those of us who have good hearing. Second, and most baffling is that in the last few months it has started making some loud popping or bang at random times. It seems to come from the freezer and is only one pop or bang each time. It sounds like a shot from a small bore rifle/gun.
Has anyone else had this problem? Should we be worried about it? Does anyone know what causes this noise?
Any ideas or help would be appreciated

Is it possible to disassemble the doors or the entire model itself? We are trying to trasnport the refrigerator because we are moving houses but we can't fit it through the kitchen doors.

Hi,
We bought the SJF624STSL (624L, Stainless Steel) about a month ago. The freezer was great but the fridge was almost luke warm even at 6. Harvey Norman replaced it and the new one is better but we have now upped the fridge to 5 as everything is just barely cold. You ahve to add ice to every drink. The freezer again works great at -18. We are getting concerned because things are spoiling quicker because they are just not cold. Any help would be great?

Hi Kelly,
Our fridge goes down to around 3 or 4 in the fridge compartment, have you checked the control buttons on front to see if it can be lower, I bought my own fridge thermometer to check if it was keeping what was recommended.
Maybe you should contact sharp direct and see if the fridge needs extra gas, I am really happy with myn all the drinks come out quite cold so it sounds like there is a problem.

Hi,
This sharp SJXE624FSL comes with the following dimensions.. 892 (W) * 1720 (H)* 771 (D)
My fridge space specs are as 900 (W) * 1800 (H)
My question is does the width which i have is sufficient to put in this fridge. Though it requires 892 MM width and mine is 900 MM width, does the fridge itself need any additional space on the sides for ventilation.
Please advise
