Great car and sales, don't expect the same with servicing.
Very friendly and efficient sales team could not get the same level of response from the servicing team. Overall I would say the product is good, just aftercare that needs some serious attention.

Brisbane City Skoda new car sales department.
I have had a few interactions about a new Skoda with this company.
Some weeks ago I called with a simple question if they had a particular model variation in stock. An aggressive sales person wanted me to answer multiple questions before giving an answer. After a few answers, I advised him not to worry and I ended the call. To be fair, the manager did apologise laterp.
More recently, I visited the showroom to have a short spin, but not me driving yet. The salesperson was pleasant enough but could not answer some questions I had but that was not...Read more

Skoda servicing
I used to use the service centre at Pennant Hills where I have bought two Skoda's. They are primarily Audi so Skoda is second concern. I stopped going there several years ago as a result of exorbitant charges with no pre-warning and now go to a VW/Audi/Skoda private concern (Muller and Muller at Dural,) who are about $60 an hour cheaper-and far more personal. I tried to upgrade the GPS system on our Scout through Pennat Hills and paid the $100 but the update didn't work and the service dept couldn't work it out. I even rang Skoda Aus and was given a brush-off that they don't deal with buyers only distributors. 9 months later I've given up. Lesson-great cars,
fabulous value but get it serviced somewhere else!!.

Skoda Richmond sold me a 2022 built Skoda Kodiaq but delivered a 2018 built car instead.
Skoda Richmond sold me a 2022 built Skoda Kodiaq but delivered a 2018 built car instead.
I first contacted [name removed] back in November 2018 for a quotation.
When I was ready to buy the car in June 2022, I asked [name removed] to re-quote the car under the current campaign at that time. [name removed] is unable to do so because the promotion campaign is for the 2018 built Kodiaq only and [name removed] said Skoda Australia did not have any 2018-build Kodiaq with the specification that I wanted. or a 2022-build Kodiaq instead. On the day of signing the sale contract, [name removed] has reconfirmed with us there was not any 2018-build Kodiaq anymore. [name removed]also told me the quoted 2022-build car was taken by other Skoda dealership. I was given 2 choices: 1)Sign a sale contract for a 2022 build with the specifications that I want and wait for 3 months as it is a custom order, or 2) Choose another 2022 build Kodiaq with higher specifications and have the car delivered in a week. We chose option 2. I was excited when I got the car. I read almost the entire car manual and tried the Skoda mobile app. I then accidentally found out my Kodiaq was built in 2018 from the Skoda app. I was in disbelief at first until I got the confirmation from another Skoda dealership.Similar opinion? Essendon Skoda service depo is true horror
My wife drop Rapid for 90K service at Essendon Skoda where it was purchased about 4 years ago. At the way home she noticed strange detonation in engine. She checked oil level. It was doubled from normal !!! Records on receipt say service done for 60K instead of 90K schedule and takata airbag were replaced second time. The first time airbag was on previous service at another dealer East Side Skoda / Melbourne. Rear brake pads replacement quoted $482 ???

Amazing Customer Service at Nunawading Skoda
My husband and I dealt with Sonia Parnaby twice. From the time we walked into this showroom when only looking, until we drove a car away on the second visit, Sonia's knowledge, professional and personal attitude, as well as her unbelievable support were faultless.
Once we decided to purchase a car, Chris Foran (the business manager at Nunawading), also had a very personable approach and was equally as easy and nice to deal with as Sonia.
We felt as though we'd hit the jackpot, as there was no hard selling either.
Thank you, and know we are glad we just happened to pop in when in the area. Despite the distance for services, we are looking forward to sharing a delicious 'Skoda' coffee with Sonia.

Good car but bad service waiting time.
TBH, I like the car, good value of money, but when the car come with a faulty unit the service centre (Eastside) does care, they just want to do the easy book service, they tell you they are too busy to look at your problem please wait for 1 month.
I had a automatically tailgate closing issue, the door doesn't close firmly, the dashboard indicated the tailgate still open. When I book the 10,000 service for 3 weeks later and mentioned about it, they told me they can't help with it, they are busy, need to book the other time which was another 2 week's (total 5weeks) to exam the issue (just exam not repair) and possibly need to wait another 2 week for the replacement unit to deliver from Sydney. Well....this is how it was about the service.

Shocking Customer Service
I have for the most part been a happy Skoda owner, and have written a generally positive review of my vehicle. However, when a part fails a reasonable durability test, you'd expect some attention from the manufacturer. Despite warm and meaningless assurances, absolutely NOTHING has been forthcoming from any of Skoda's 'Customer Experience Ambassadors'. Emails do not get returned, pleas for a simple reply are ignored. I've gone from happy owner to disgruntled never-again customer. I'm just as keen to share the bad news as I am the good, Skoda Au...Read more
stralia. Do NOT buy any Skoda product with a sunroof. When it fails outside the warranty, which it will invariably do, don't expect any assistance from the manufacturer, or much change from a couple of grand. You'd think with the whole VW emissions debacle on their back, that Skoda Australia would do better. Or even try. But no. Change my mind, Skoda Australia.Similar opinion? Skoda Nunawading - happy with the service
I'm a new Skoda owner, I have (a rather fast, rather cool looking) 2017 Octavia RS.
The staff at Skoda Nunawading have been really professional and courteous. I've had my car in for a couple of fixes (yes, Skoda build quality isn't as good as it should be), but the problems have been fixed and I also had a courtesy car for one of the times my car was out of action.
There are a lot of negative stories about Skoda but I have to say I have been satisfied.

Would never buy Skoda again
Purchased a new vRS, 7 years/130,000 km later the car dies - timing chain tensioner fail. Very common issue worldwide across VW/Skoda/Audi 2L TSI engines - though, no warning to customers in Australia. Should a warning be sent out, majority of customers would update the component (which has been redesigned 4 times in 8 years due to it continuously being faulty). Contact Skoda Australia, and you’re made to feel like a criminal, not to mention the service centre - run by Jarvis Skoda in SA - quoted $2k for a lap top diagnostic, which my mechanic ...Read more
did in 20 minutes (which included photos of the timing chain tensioner at max length). Long story short, sold the car (in otherwise immaculate condition) as a wreck. If the dealer/Skoda were decent people, I would have likely upgraded with them, you couldn’t pay me to deal with them. Signed up for the class action against Skoda for this issue - recommend anyone in the same boat to do the same!! https://www.shine.com.au/blog/class-actions/audi-volkswagen-potential-class-actionSimilar opinion? Amazing service
Essendon Skoda
The best experience I have ever had with getting a car, nothing was a problem or an issue. Honest feedback and an extremely genuine person. Matthew M is one of the most professional, genuine and honest people I have met. Someone you can truly trust and really rely on. Outstanding in every aspect! A real asset to the company and brand.
Thank you Matthew

Superb European Build. Perfect service by Alto Skoda, Pennant Hills.
I cannot be more happy buying a car elsewhere. From the great test drive to the fastest finance approval and fastest car delivery seen ever in my life, I am pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the trio of Byron, Merzad and Chris.
The finance approval came instantly and vehicle was delivered as per my convenience in four days! I have owned 7 cars in last 12 years and this never happened so fast.

Thank you Alto Skoda.. Three cheers... You have got a long term happy customer! It's a shame that Australia does not know the brand enough but is a fan of other European brands, including the Skoda parent... Volkswagen. DO NOT BUY A SKODA!
DO NOT BUY A SKODA! Skoda customer 'service' is not just appalling but malicious. Skoda Australia actively flouts Australian Consumer Law. I purchased a Skoda Kodiaq from Richmond Skoda and it is now undriveable.
Over 12 months the vehicle has developed a series of electrical faults. It has been to two separate dealerships on six occasions and the faults have only worsened. It started with a front passenger seat heater that was not working shortly after purchase and has progressed to a centre consol screen that randomly switches on and off wh...Read more
ile driving and a rear window windscreen wiper that does not switch off. After the last visit to the dealership the vehicle would not lock at all. It is illegal to leave a vehicle unlocked and unattended and it essentially became unusable. In an attempt to lawfully use the vehicle I was able to remove a portion of the driver's door handle and lock the door with the emergency key but upon unlocking the door the alarm now sounds every time the door is opened and the vehicle is immobilised and undriveable. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJr4JAvFQ-s Skoda has continually ignored my requests for a refund because an undriveable vehicle is not considered to be a major fault. I have now been forced to launch legal action through VCAT to defend my rights as a consumer. Who would ever buy a vehicle from a car manufacturer who forces customers to take legal action for a refund on a vehicle that is undriveable? Eastside Skoda what an abomination of a dealership avoid at all cost when servicing!!!!!
Eastside Skoda told me would have to pay $660.00 dollars to have my front adaptive cruise control radar realigned this was on top of the $150.00 they already charged me for diagnosis. Also said I needed new wiper blades and also they topped up the washer bottle and added cleaner on the bill. But I work in Autoparts and changed the wipers and topped up the washer bottle before i sent the car there for service when challenged said oh that is what we put on all paperwork even if we don't do the work (What The). Thought I would get a second opinion...Read more

Above and beyond
I have already left a review regarding my purchase of a Skoda Rapid. All positive. However, I just wanted to say how impressed I was by the salesmanship of Craig at Richmond Skoda, who went above and beyond to return my e-tag I had left in my car I traded in. Thank you Craig, highly recommend.

Love the car - their service centres let them down
Love my 2015 Skoda Octavia wagon! Its a great family car. Its a shame that both service centres near me Thornleigh and Parramatta let the car and the sales dept down. 1st service at Thornleigh that battery died while it was there. As they didnt have a spare they told me to take it home and bring it back when one came in (there is a showroom upstairs).
Have just put it in at Parramatta where they are fixing the water pump under warrenty as well as a service. Its now been 3 days and am still driving a Kia (its part of Skoda/Kia service) loan...Read more
car. (Not sure of the reasoning of them leaving the VW service centre and merging with Kia a totally different brand). Which I now have for the weekend. (Happy days). Whilst I appreciate the time to service/fix everything there communication is not good. They rang day 1 and I have chased for the next 2 days. Have now picked up the car with all issues resolved and have found the source (potentially) of the communication issues. There is one service person for Skoda and one for Kia in an office that accommodates 2 desks and not much else. They need a bigger office/check in as there were people everywhere trying to pick up cars and one more service person for each department. They are trying their best but they are understaffed.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Newcastle Skoda Service is excellent
Can't fault Newcastle Skoda/AUDI dealership in relation to car servicing. They seem to do everything without a fuss, no complaints or refusal to deal with problems. They get straight on to the problem and fix it for you. I've dealt with them for about 7-8 years now and never had a problem They even sorted out an issue I had with another dealer who had originally sold the car. Two Skodas later their service is still A1. I don't know whether their sales are as still good as their service because the Skoda sales people are different from the ones who sold me my car. However, I cannot speak more highly of their professional no nonsense approach to car servicing and repair.

We’re thinking of moving from a Mazda to a Skoda Kodiaq but we’re a little nervous about moving to a European brand and one that doesn’t have a lot of centres in Melbourne for support. Are we right to be nervous?

That's definitely the only concern of getting Skoda. The car itself is brilliant in its price. Richmond is much much better service centre than Eastside I would say.
