Don't bother as their facilities are limited.
We have been with Skye since it was Lombard. We had a 15k joint account with Skye and reduced it to 10k to manage costs better but now need it increased. We were told by the operator June due to not having the "facilities" any Joint account over 180 days can not have their limits increased. If I had known this were the case, I wouldn't have decreased it. So if you are in a pinch and have a joint account don't expect any help.

Absolutely Useless
I thought it'd be about time to write a new review based on the experience since the last review...
This company is the poorest most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. A Skye employee messaged me after my last review a few months ago and said someone would call me to sort out my problems and then heard nothing for a few days after... I then messaged back asking about the call and they apologised and said to give them 24 hours... It's now been a few months since then and they sent debt collectors to deal with me rather than deal with it themselves. I happily worked with them and payed the debt (not that hard right??) but just proves Skye master card is an incompetent company and can't deal with its own problems.

Do not use these people, they leave you on hold for hours.. cancel your direct debit without telling you, and try to sting your with massive interest at the end of your term.

Do not use
I pre applied for Skye card so I had funds available to use at Flight centre. Decided not to use flight centre and contacted Skye as there was a $12000 pending transaction!!!! What - I haven’t used the card - flight centre haven’t requested funds - how can there be a pending transaction for a non existent transaction. This is illegal I would think. After waiting for 45 minutes to get my call answered the service officer had no idea what he was doing and kept putting me on hold. Then he told me flight centre had to contact them to advise there was no transaction. Surely he could see on the system that the so called transaction occurred when they set up my card!!!

Greedy or just plain stupid? Not sure but I'm done with them!
I am furious with this company! We bought our ride-on mower (13K) on an 'interest free' deal and our minimum repayment is $260 per month. From the get-go I have paid $500 every month when we get paid between the 8th and the 15th.
They kept texting every month that we were overdue so after 6 months of this I called them to see why they keep doing this when obviously our account was WAY in advance. Trying to close my account
Called this morning after waiting 50 mins on the phone, All I want to do is to close my account,The operator kept putting me on hold because I owe 0.95c & he didn’t know what to do.
I had a enough waiting so he came back and asked me to hold longer but I had to go, I asked him to call me back & nothing (didn’t expect him to call me back really)

Impossible to pay out and cancel this card!
As part of our mortgage refinance package, we arranged payout on this card, which happened about 6 weeks ago now. But after many attempts at closing the card, we keep being charged hidden amounts, even after being quoted the payout figure, which was paid. Have spent hours of my time, literally, on hold to the call centre to sort it out but never get through. Most attempts have me on hold for an average of 45mins before I have to hang up. Online chats are timed out and no contact is made. Shocking experience! They’ve designed this product to keep you stuck in a charge loop so you can never cancel and they keep raking in the fees. Go elsewhere!

Cannot cancel this card and terrible customer service
After twice having the monthly due date change and a interest penalty on a so called interest free card. We decided to cancel the cards which until now has been a impossible mission.
4 phone calls and over 3 hours on the phone waiting still have not through to anyone who can help. Also tried emailing and still no yet call back.

Paid back and cancelled account but...
I paid back the credit within the interest free period with time to spare. I waited for the funds to clear before calling. A the ttime the girl cancelled the account and said I would receive a letter confirming cancellation. I didnt think anymore of it. Today I received a promotional text message and to OPT OUT I had to call (what a joke) and cancel. I waited 45 minutes on hold to speak to someone to OPT OUT. Terrible card and service, misleading information from the start at Flight centre Runaway bay and it only got worse
I decided to use this card when I purchased a $500 plane ticket from The Flight Centre Runaway bay on the Gold Coast. I was informed by the flight Centre staff that I had a 90 day payment free period, during which time I did not have to pay anything. To set up the card I paid the $99 admin fee with my entire deal arriving at $599 thereabouts for a $500 plane ticket. That was in October. y or how I was charged a late fee when I was told I didn't have to pay any thing fro 90 days. I was given x 4 separate different payment dates when I asked for my payment date so as to avoid late fees: 23 of very month, 6th of every month, 12 of every month and 13th of every month. Then I made payments early to avoid late fees and was told on the 30/01/2020 by George on the other end of the phone at 13:45, I could not make early payments, and that my additional early payments were not counted as coming off the principle and that I had to make payments on time, which he then altered to three days before. I asked why I can make early payments three days before but not a week before? By this stage I decided to pay the card out to get rid of it and went through my statements I realised I have been over charged $60. I wont be getting my money back and I never want to deal with these people again. I'm a bit jaded dealing with the flight centre as well after if all. Used it for everyday shopping
This card is very useful for me because I used it for everyday shopping and interest free for 110 days. You can apply for installment plan if you purchased more than $250. You can apply for 6,9 and 12 months with minimal establishment fees.For me honestly It is worth using this card. For people giving negative feedback. I think my personal opinion cards are all thew same depending how you use your card. Highly recommended but depending on your needs.

Poor customer service & waiting time on the phone.
Skye mastercard owes us money, as i accidently paid it twice. We have sent numerous emails and phoned them once i realized this. Still no refund. Phone waiting time is ridiculous. Emails are never responded to even when sent to a particular person.Please don't respond with your usual spill with please email us your details as we have already done this 3 times. We want action otherwise we will also be taking our complaint further and contacting a current affair.

Skye MasterCard - DONT DO IT
We got the Skye MasterCard to go on a holiday. It was very difficult to get approved in the first place. Then after that it was ok however the kept bouncing our payments and charging us a fee but I brushed this off. Then when it came to cancelling the card because I decided $99 a year wasn’t worth it to pay this. It was the hardest to cancel and the person on the phone was very very rude. So we cancelled, and got a refund for the extra money we ended up paying on the account. I got the confirmation email and everything. I today get an email that we owe money on the interest they have charged us. Will give the guy on the phone credit he was great but the company is pretty crap.

Stay away from this Mob. They will over charge in any way possible. Bought a computer for my Son to use at school and looking at additional 170 AUD due to all the background charges!! What makes it even worse is that I had to go through them as this was part of the school scheme from JB Hifi to provide credit for the purchase.

We used Skye through Flight Centre for a family holiday ($2400 only) it has been 8 Months from holiday and they have charges us, $659 in FEES ALONE (including interest..... umm hello its interest free????)

Just got stung big time
I used Skye to pay for my son's computer for school. It was a big expense for us but I was determined to pay off without any additional costs except for the set up fee. Made regular repayments for most of the year until Skye changed their payment process without any explanation and I couldn't work out how to make a payment. I went through Skye for a laptop. It was close to Christmas so said to myself this would be better than paying out in full. Worst mistake I have ever made. The reviews are correct about Skye. You get charged dis honour fees the whole time.
I have never had any issues with getting loans or credit cards. I do not have a bad credit score and I always pay back everything when it should and on time.
With Skye however I have have nothing but dis honour fees keep occurring.
I have asked in writing (emails) for them to let me change my bank details ...Read more

I never received a response in realtion to providing new bank details for the direct debit, but I did receive a response saying - they have no direct debits set up. Please tell me how there is no direct debits set up, but the dis honour fees I am getting is from Skye saying they cant debit some payments from my account. Then in another email Skye said you must have done it online. Yes, I done it online through SKYE.
