Recently my partner ordered Black Wolf backpack from Snowys to replace a broken pack. When the product arrived it appeared a though it was a customer return or ex display as the heat sealed plastic bag the product supplied in by Black Wolf was torn open. Given this time of Covid 19 receiving a second hand product is totally unacceptable. As I needed the backpack for a walk on the weekend I was unable to return the bag which Snowys offered. Snowy's staff could not explain why the pack was opened. Guys plenty of better online suppliers out there who understand customer service.

Read morend seriously, do you have a policy to QA a back pack that can be clearly examined without opening the clear plastic bag and a bag that has no parts etc that could be lost. If your staff did open it, is your policy just to rip it open with no care and not to re-seal it. Seriously!! My only experience with Snowys was mixed. I couldn’t get a look at a particular tent anywhere near my place, so relied on their online videos and descriptions, which didn’t work out in practice. The tent was really poor in the wet, something I haven’t had to worry about for years, and should have been made obvious on the website. It took a long time, but Snowys did finally resolve the issue, which was reasonably complicated.
Delivery was impressively fast, even during the holidays, but they do use Toll.

Read moreics, the PU coated synthetics that most tents are made of nowadays don't start to leak when touched from the inside, it remains waterproof, which makes me think that it's condensation rather than rainwater that is on the inner side of the flysheet. Apologies if you have already tried this, but increasing ventilation in the tent will reduce condensation and may mitigate your issues. Alternatively, you could set the tent up in your yard overnight in the rain without anyone sleeping inside and if it still leaks then you know condensation isn't the problem.

Buyer beware. I never received my order, the responses from Snowy's have been delayed woeful to my trying to find out where my product was, and now they are just saying bad luck. Very poor. I see other people have experienced this. Will be going to consumer affairs next.

Snowys is fine as a supplier/seller, up to the point when it comes to delivering their goods. They only offer shipping via Toll Couriers, and not others such as AusPost/Startrack. Toll is awfully unreliable.

Ordered a clearance tent with 13 tents left on the website. Came back the next day and they were still showing stock of the tents online so I was sure I had been reserved one. A few days later and parts of my order were shipped without the tent. Had to call up to find why this had occurred and that there were stock shortages. Phone staff can't be faulted though, very friendly and helpful. Just had a poor experience with their stock count.

I have bought a range of camping and hiking gear from Snowys over the past three years. They have always been excellent in processing, delivering and handling my queries. On the one occasion where I needed to return something faulty it was dealt with quickly and without dispute. These guys seem to really know the value of customer service.

My experience with Snowys has been abysmal: I purchased an Oztrail 450 Lodge LED from them. During my second outing the flysheet failed (the seams came apart), and we got wet. I contacted Snowys who were very reluctant to give me a refund. They said they would send me a new flysheet. It didn’t arrive, so I contacted them again, only to find that they hadn’t even sent it. Even were I to accept the replacement leg, I have lost absolute faith in the tent, and cannot afford to risk camping in a sub par product that has let me and my family – a pregnant wife, and 18-month old – down two out of the three time we have used it! The web site wouldn't let me checkout on my iMac. Tried the iPad..nope. Seems there online shop isn't liking Mac Safari. So had to use wives Chrome or whatever on her iMac. Worked great. This little speed bump wouldn't stop me from buying again. Although it was annoying as I buy heaps using this browser. I like the fact they post videos of the more popular products.

I spent $2000 in two weeks and my swag came with a cracked support pole, esky wasn’t as advertised, the cryvacer was falsely advertised as 12volt (didn’t work). I had that many parcels coming spread out over 3 weeks yet everything was in stock when I ordered.....just got back from my prosponed camping trip and felt like I’d been jolly Rodgered by SNOWYS OUTDOORS... And the customer service, let’s just say they are like lawyers, I’ll get some photos and video footage up of their lovely products

Placed a $700 order with snowys and noted the order was urgent and needed it within a couple of weeks. I also phoned them after placing the order to ensure they got the order out quickly. The order was sent with Toll. Delivery was late by a day so I phoned Toll on Thursday in which they were completely useless but after spending over an hour on the phone with them I was told Snowys failed to put the address on the parcel which is why it failed to meet delivery on the Wednesday and Thursday. Ordered a PLB 1pm yesterday and arrived today at 9:30am from QLD to NSW.
Item was supposed to be on pre-order but after noticing it switched back to 'add to basket' online after ordering, gave them a ring. Turns out when you put your postcode in, it automatically detects stock level from one of two of their warehouses. It was out of stock at my 'local' warehouse so they re-routed the order to the other straight away!
So glad to be able to go hiking with it this month rather than next! Thanks, Snowys!
