worst sony product I've ever bought
>sound keeps breaking and i have to keep the phone close to my head to have a stable connection.
>can't make phone calls with it
>connection lost every few seconds
P.S. tried it with 2 different mobile barnds and using the sony recommended app.
a total waste of money (which is a lot! very expensive but I thought it worth it, I was wrong)

Poor BT connectivity
Listening to Spotify the signal drops out for half a second every 30 seconds. Impossible if you like music. I was ways a Bose fan but decided to try something different.
More fool me. I used to be such a Sony fan but sadly Sony have lost too much ground. Will never recover.

Fantastic Sound and excellent battery life
I purchased these to replace another manufacturers earbuds (also starting with S) and have found them to be fantastic.
They are extremely comfortable even over long periods and you just pop them into the ear and have instant, high quality sound.
These are both a pleasure to use and a pleasure to wear.
They have a nice stable and secure fit and don't in anyway feel that they may fall out. (In my ear anyway)
They have a fantastic battery life that does not drain away senselessly whenever they are not in use unlike some others at a similar price ...Read more

Left earbud died after 6 months...
These have been awesome up until the last 2 days when the left earbud stopped working or charging altogether.
The sensor is extremely sensitive (maybe too much) on the side and activates if lightly brushed which can be annoying whne touched by accident.
Teh sound is perfect and as drum and bass head I've really enjoyed the suprisingly crisp bass on an in ear earbud.

Absolutely great - BUT ...
These are a marvel of technology. I love just about everything about them. The fit is amazingly good, the noise cancellation (in my ears) is stunning and beats my other high end full cover noise cancelling headphones that are 5 years old hands down.
I am not going to comment on the sound quality, I am happy with what comes out of $10 headphones, so I refrain.
The accompanying app is ok, fun to play with for sure and some of the setting in there are really useful. Some are not and I really don't like that the app constantly pushes some elusiv...Read more
e (chargeable) 3D music streaming services. This is my first pair of Bluetooth headphones (actually, my first Bluetooth device full stop) that properly connects and stays connected and does not require constant fiddling and re-booting and re-pairing or whatever. Pair them (really simple) and that's it. They turn on automatically when you put them in your ear. Whatever you play pauses automatically when you take one of them out and if they stay idle a bit they turn themselves off. The functionality of what happens when you touch the sides of them is customisaable and that too works. well.Purchased in August 2021 at Wireless1 Online Store for A$339.96.

Bad product, Bad service, Zero Star!
The firmware update 1.3.0 forever abort itself. Call the support centre, just tell me to initialise. Reset, Initalise, delete the app, reinstall, never work. One of the technical staff ( heavy Indian accent ) tell me to wait and disconnect. Ask for return, he told me to wait for another 24 hours. I know AirPods is bad but I truly regret to buy this.
Iphone user, keep away with this product!

Near perfect true wireless earbuds with fantastic sound and ANC
Having previously owned a pair of BeatsX and Plantronics Backbeat GO410, I was looking to move to a true-wireless headset without a neck band, which would always get caught on my shirt collar. I wanted top-notch sound, ANC, and decent battery life, primarily for daily train commute and office work. Until the 1000xm3 arrived, this didn't seem possible in one package.
Pro's:
- Surprisingly comfortable, especially with Comply Foam tips. Can't seem to make them fall out either.
- Best sound I have had on a pair of bluetooth ear buds. Easily better...Read more

Near perfect in ear headphones
As an owner of the Sony WH-1000xm2 and WH-1000xm3 expectations of the WF-1000xm3 were high. They do not disappoint! They are small, portable, sound good and have active noise cancelling. When comparing these to the over ear models in the WH-1000x range they hold their own. Not as good but not far off. The noise cancelling of Sony's over ear models are better but they are also much larger. The benefit of having smaller active noise cancellation headphones is that you have more luggage space. A good compromise between performance and functionalit...Read more
y. On a side note as these headphones are Bluetooth you will need a Bluetooth transmitter to use these headphones with airline entertainment systems. Sony's mobile app allows for users to tailor headphone settings not only from a noise reproduction perspective but also functionality. While not perfect they do come close. And negatives ? Well for the price you would expect that have some sort of water resistance. They could also have some ear support for people who use headphones while running. Overall impressive headphones. Good enough that it makes you question if over ear WH's are still required.Purchased in August 2021 at Sony for A$249.00.

Great Sound and Fit
I have had these new earphones for about a week now. I have tried numerous others including Beo E8, Bose Sound Sport and the Bose quiet control QC30. These new WF-1000XM3 have a great fit which is something I have had problems with in the past. The Bose QC30 have provided the best fit altogether but they aren't completely wireless like the other earphones listed.
Connecting to my iPhone and iPad has been great and one feature I have found that all the others have failed at is changing the connection between devices. After the earphones hav...Read more
e been set up on the iphone and ipad, if I want to change the connected device, all i have to do is select the earphones in the Bluetooth device list and it changes. With the other earphones, I have to turn the Bluetooth off the phone and turn the earphones off and on again and cross my fingers and hope they pick up the new device. Occasionally I have had to reset the Bluetooth connection to get them connecting again. Noise Cancelling works pretty well but is not the same level of impact as the Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones but they are over ear headphones... having said that, the noise cancelling is still effective and definitely worth having as I use them a lot on flights. There is no volume control on the earphones themselves but I dont have a problem with that as the iphone/ipad is normally within reach and I keep forgetting how many taps on which ear does something.... I would rate these new earphones as the best sounding, fitting and overall performance compared to the others listed here. I found the best price online at around $314 whereas most of the retail outlets are charging $399Purchased in August 2021 for A$314.00.

They certainly connect to bluetooth transmitters (not receivers). Does not really matter what transmitter and where it is.
