`Dreadful service
Ordered a made to measure set of curtains in December, nearly$700 and 50% deposit paid. Told they would be fitted in January. Still waiting 2nd March. 4 phone calls and a visit to the store has still not got me my curtains. The girl on the phone said the order was lost in the post, the Manager told me he "would look into it" Stand by Spotlight as I about to visit you again tomorrow. As a VIP Member I am MOST dissatisfied. Was offered a $100 voucher but as I will never shop here again the $100 had better come off the bill.

WORST SERVICE IN HISTORY!
I ordered blinds in November and told they would take 4-6 weeks and would be installed before Christmas. I hadn’t heard anything and called again after 6 weeks to be told they wouldn’t be installed until after Christmas. They were installed late jan but one didn’t fit. Over a month later and many I returned phone calls I now sit in the store giving up my weekend to chase up my order I paid for before Christmas!!! Absolute joke I will never buy another thing from Spotlight their service is beyond appalling. If I could give 0/5 I would.

Cheaper, but take FAR too long
We placed our order in December and were promised it would be ready in a month. It is now a couple of days from March and the street light and sun are still flooding in, with no privacy. How can this business still operate? Yes, might be a few dollars cheaper, but you would want to use the product while you still had breath in your body. Spotlight, lift your game!

What a saga
Honeycomb blinds, was assured would let in breeze and not flap, totally wrong.
Ordered in November, products out of stock, finally installed end of Feb. Never again. Most disappointed. Dave Brisbane

Great xmas sales
The xmas sales at spotlight are amazing. shopped there for the first time in dec 2022 because I got a new king size bed. Saved several hundred dollars in bedding, pillows and duvet. Have been very satisfied so far with the quality of the products.

No customer Service
We placed orders separately for 2 sets of blinds. Apparently they cannot find them nor give an indication whether they will ever be able to. (Said that Toll was hacked) They do not return calls or make any effort to resolve

Bad customer service by staff member
After trying several times to contact Clovercrest, SA by phone and could not get an answer I decided to drive there myself. I asked for help to locate an item in store and found it very difficult to find a staff member who was willing to help. One told me they did not stock it. Went to another staff member who directed me to the department but was not able to find it. Went to the front desk and spoke to someone there and told them I could not find the produce I was looking for and she was very abrupt, disrespectful, loud and rude to me ... making me feel very inadequate and humiliated. Totally unacceptable. Manners would not go astray!!!!

Hot tip: if you are in the Midland branch and are on your own, do not purchase large items!
Went to Spotlight Midland to purchase 5 items, 3 were a larger size. The only trolleys available were the small red ones with wheels so had to do a balancing act through the store. Two cashiers on with a long lineup, one was held up with a customer. One of my items did not have a barcode so after looking back at the line, I said to skip it. I found out then that I was not allowed to bring the trolley outside. A cashier offered to help but again long lineup, so I loaded up as best I could and took off. (Cashiers should not have to cart purch...Read more
ases to customer’s cars - ridiculous!) Seriously Spotlight, your customer service is terrible. Read your reviews and do something about it. I would start shopping with you online, but those reviews are bad as well.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Spotlight - FrameDepot poster frame - Dangerous glass
The product from Spotlight titled Poster Frame from FrameDepot, the glass is very thin and extremely dangerous.
I bought the product and when placing the poster backing board into position, the glass snapped leaving extremely fine glass fragments.

Spotlight Dubbo was great, now the pits
I use to love going to Dubbo Spotlight. The staff were great and overall a pleasurable experience. NOW! It is the pits. The staff are unhelpful, rude and I find offensive. I bought a doona cover on sale for $50. It was labeled king bed and I paid for king bed. Later when I went to put it on the king bed it just didn't fit. It didn't matter which way I turned it. Then I realized it was not a king bed size. So I took it back to Spotlight Dubbo. The cashier refused to refund the item even though it was incorrectly labeled. She argued with me that ...Read more
it was a king bed size so I ask her to measure it, which she wouldn't. I gave her the docket and she pointed to the wrong item and said it was sold as a queen size. I pointed out to her that that was not the sizing abbreviation and showed her where it clearly showed the size being king bed. She raised her voice and accused me of raising my voice to which I stated I would record the conversation. Suddenly her voice lowered and another women came on the scene. The second women again refused to give a refund stating I could go and pick a new item. This didn't suit me at the time. Through out the conversation I had said I would take a store credit, eventually they agreed to a store credit which I can go back and use any time. Why did I have to go through this? Surely if an item is labeled incorrectly and charged incorrectly customers have some rights to refund. Whether on special or not.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent Customer Service
We experienced excellent customer service yesterday at Spotlight in Frankston. Alan helped us with a solution for our rollerblind request. And as it was a little bit tricky he managed to tailor the product to our needs. Spotlight made a sale yesterday solely due to Alan's technical and product knowledge. It is a delight dealing with customer service personnel who are properly trained. U fortunately the computer system was extremely slow, which is not Alan's fault.

Ready-made Eyelet Curtains
I bought two pair of Ready-made Eyelet curtains and no two curtains are the same length. The difference in length ranges from 3 to 5cm across the four individual curtains. These curtains were $75 a pair. Very poor quality control.

Terrible Woman At Ashmore Store
Spotlight Ashmore had been a wonderful place every time I went but last time I went, it made me not want to be served by a particular lady who is maybe in her 40s or 50s has short blonde hair with glasses. She looks like a supervisor but I’m not too sure. I showed my birthday $10 voucher and she didn’t know how to put the code into the register system and she rudely asked me whether I’ve used it in the past. What kind of customer service is this? Is she making it my fault simply because she can’t get the voucher to work? After I said i’m sorry ...Read more
but I’ve never used it because I’m not that kind of person if you think I am and I just received it in the email. She was quiet as a mouse and got the voucher working. She did not have a single smile on her face, she looked like she wasn’t enjoying being at Spotlight. Very rude customer service. The young girls are much better at it. I am not going to be served by this woman when I visit this store.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Ridiculous service / unintelligent staff
Mum paid cash for some curtains recently and gave them to me as a gift. They just were the wrong colour for my liking so she took them back to swap for another colour. They didn’t have much stock when she looked, so instead she asked for a refund or store credit. She lost the receipt so the staff said she would have to show her spotlight VIP card or bank statement. Mum isn’t a VIP member, and as she paid cash there was nothing on a bank statement that would help. Staff member insisted she bring in her bank statement and mum kept saying that she...Read more
paid cash. Staff member couldn’t seem to understand that and just kept saying without the bank statement they couldn’t help. Mum shook her head and walked away with the original curtains and is now looking for her receipt. Whilst mum appreciates the need for a receipt, the staff member obviously wasn’t very intelligent at all. These people live amongst us and I am not sure how they function every day.Similar opinion? Very disappointing service
On 3 Mayember 2022 my husband and I visited the Albury store to purchase 9 timber look blinds (Venetian EAN 9320136350796).
We took 1 blind to the counter as we wanted to enquire about alterations. We were advised these would take between 4-6 weeks and we agreed to this time frame as the blinds were not required until December when our house would be completed. We asked the sales assistant if we needed to go and get the blinds off the shelf and she advised us that we did not as they have the blinds at the warehouse. At this time there was the...Read more
required amount of blinds on the shelf. We paid for the blinds and an additional charge of $25 per blind for the alteration. This sales assistant was great. Very professional, answered all our questions, I can not fault this lady or her service. I visited the store on 10 December to ask how the order was going, the sales assistant checked the folder and said it was still in progress and she would check and give me a call if there were any issues. My husband and I were again at Spotlight on 26 December and again enquired about the blinds. Sales assistant checked the folder and said they were now overdue but as it was a public holiday she could not check, but she would give them a call the next day and then give me a call back. I did not receive a call.2 comments
I went into the store and the ladies behind the counter knew my order as soon as they looked at the receipt.
They advised that the blinds have been sourced and they are getting cut this week.... Read more
I’ve advised them our handover date is Jan 28 and if our blinds haven’t arrived by that date then I would be seeking a refund and looking elsewhere as I need blinds immediately. The staff as usual have great customer service and apologised multiple times.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

In light of the COVID-19 situation, what consumer guarantee is there when a 50% deposit is required and the balance to be paid prior to installation. I really don't want to pay $5k upfront if there will be issues with the supply chain and the like
