Customer service non-existent
I went to the Bayswater store today, ready to spend $500 on a Cricut machine, but left empty handed due to horrendous customer service. I initially approached 2 workers who were chatting together and received awkward looks of confusion when I asked them for help. They directed me to the Lay By desk where I was greeted by one worker who offered to call a person from the craft department to help me. One of the two ladies I had initially approached came to ‘help’ me. She could not tell me any information about the product, was very abrupt and bland with any brief response she gave. I tried to probe with questions for further information but she gave me as little response as possible. Very unimpressed.

Unhelpful staff
I bought two of the same item that are $7 each on the Spotlight website. The cash register showed these as $12 each. I pointed this out to the cashier and she just said she'd have to charge me what the cash register computer showed. I showed her the online price on my phone but she was unmoved and only gave me the option of not buying them. I paid her price as I needed the items, but pointed out to her that any other large retailer would always honour the lower price showed on their own website. She made no comment to this as I know she knew their attitude to customers sucks.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service.
We had a bed sheet set given to us as a present (purchased from spotlight with obviously no receipt brand new still in plastic bag), The bed set was king size, we went there to change it to Queen size. The older lady at the counter (either manager or owner- WITHOUT A NAME TAG) said that they can't do a swap without a receipt. Love these franchisers giving Spotlight a very bad name. Do yourselves a favour, buy from K mart or Big W.

Extremely rude service
Literally every time I go to spotlight the more mature ladies there are so utterly rude. When they talk to you they turn their noses up and act as if your not worth their time. I’m terrified to go into the store sometimes because I can’t find what I need and the ladies will just be rude

Spotlight Noarlunga
Very disappointed with Noarlunga spotlight store, I purchased some towels about 8 weeks ago, at the time of the purchase I wasn't able to buy the full set ( bath sheets in the colour not available in store) I spoke with the sails assistant, and was told the bath sheets had been ordered and were coming in and she told me to put my name and details in the order at checkout and they will call me when they come in, which is what I did and I purchased the rest of the set, I called spotlight several times to see if they had come in, which I was to...Read more
ld they hadn't, the last time I called I explained to the woman I spoke to that I can't use the towels I had purchased because I didn't have the full set, she understood and again took my name and number and said they would call me when the towels came in, she also looked up the order and told me they were expecting an order of 28 towels, I was at the spotlight store today 28th December so I went in to have a look, and to my surprise there they were a shelf full of koo Egyptian cotton bath sheets in the colour violet, so I purchased them, but I am extremely annoyed that I wasn't called about this, what is the point of putting my name and details in the order book if no one calls to let you know, it's just by chance that I had been checking up on this, spotlight Noarlunga get you act togetherSimilar opinion? Don't people waffle !!
I've purchased many items from Spotlight stores, variety of stores. Read many reviews but the most annoying was from a so-called Christian Fanatic who claimed they had removed the Christian theme balloons.. Guess we may have to accept some people waffle for the sake of it. Nobody cares and the Kids couldn't care less, elephant theme or talking peanuts on the balloons.

Bad service, curtains lasted 3 years
Bought block out ready made curtains, three years ago. Lately I have a lot of dust in rooms and all leather lounge has white marks on them. Noticed it was the curtains all the backing has started to flake off and if you rub them with hands your hands go white from the cheap backing coming off. Rang the store head office and they said yes, they will do that as they are designed like this especially when sun hits the backs. These were not cheap approx $280 per window. m as I bought cheaper kmart ready hangs as my daughter wanted pink. These were done at the same time and were a fraction of the cost at $80 and are perfect showing only yellowing and none of the backing is coming off! I would have expected the spotlight ones to last more than 3 years and to be told that they would need to be replace every couple of years is totally wrong, who does that? The last ones I had I had for over 10 years..... These are out of their 1 year warranty and they wont do anything about it. Terrible product and terrible service I will not recommend or shop at spotlight again. Buyers beware these product are expensive and dont last in australia homes and will not last more than 3 years according to the actual store!!!! Very helpful staff & manager
I received great service from the staff at Bayswater, by far the best Spotlight store, they were very helpful & upon requiring assistance from the manager Paul, he went above & beyond to assist with my enquiry. Customer Care on the other hand gave me the runaround.

Extremely Unhappy
I got Spotlight out in Nov 2022 to give me a measure and quote for new verticals, I will say this, the guy who did the measure/quote was very nice but that's about all I can say that is positive, he gave me wrong information on the day telling me that if I paid a 50% deposit asap my order would be in the system and ready to be fitted BEFORE Xmas, after I made the payment I rang the Melbourne office of spotlight who handle they M2M section and I said I made a OSKO payment 2 hours ago and I would like confirmation that they received my payment a...Read more
s I had NO confirmation, THEY told me, oh your payment will be sitting in the database but our financial team won't even get to conform it until the next week and then it will take a couple of weeks to get them made etc, I told them the guy who did the measure said they would be ready to be fitted before Xmas, oh no she said it can take up to 6 weeks just get them made, the more she said the more angry I became, so I left it for 3 weeks and recontacted Melbourne office to get the stats on my blinds, I was told and I quote, your blinds are imminently being delivered to your closest store as we speak, so I said thank you I will wait for my call to book the fitting, the day was passing and it was 4pm and I had not got my phone call, so I rang my local store and checked on the status of my missing blinds, I was told yet again, no they aren't here, but let me check out the back for you, he came back to the phone and said, no sorry they aren't out the back either, so where are my blinds, he looked on the database and said, your blinds ETA is December 30th........WHAT !!!! I was told they would be fitted the week before Xmas and he said no they won't, so I am super angry and annoyed now because the guy who did the measure said to me and I quote, the quicker my payment goes through the quicker it starts getting made and in the system and they will be ready for Xmas, what a load of !!!!!! I paid the deposit while the guy was still here before he left as I used OSKO payment, I told him to check the account to make sure it went through but, Ohhhhh he can't it has to be done with the finance team in Melbourne, my biggest bone to pick with the store is, don't tell people their items will be ready for Xmas when you know they won't be, make sure you send people out to measure and quote who actually know what they are talking about, I paid 50% deposit of over $300 to Spotlight thinking my blinds would be fitted before Xmas which FYI I was told would be happening, I am on a pension and that $300 half deposit I could have put towards Xmas because quite frankly if the ETA is 30th Dec then my blinds won't be getting fitted now until the New Year, there was no need to rush that payment through now was their !! not to mention I told the guy I am a VIP member and he said oh sorry we don't give VIP member discounts on M2M curtains etc well why the hell not, because after this runaround I would now like a VIP discount because I certainly haven't been treated like a VIP member, I know why they won't give a VIP discount because on my payment in full of over $600 the discount would be somewhat reasonable and quite frankly the service I have received from spotlight is not worth what I am paying, mediocre service is not worth $600, its all good and well to have a very pleasant sales person, no qualms their BUT the service and info has to match for me too be happy and I think the only reason he told me the quicker I pay the quicker the order comes is...he wanted a guaranteed sale, NOT a good way to do business people that's very bad PR.Similar opinion? Catholic Decoration
I went to the store to organise balloons for christening then i found out you don't sell any Christians decoration. it is very disgusting that you pulled it off the shelves and we all know why. don't forget this is Christian country and who ever doesn't like it should feel free to leave. shame on you.

Almost perfect experience!
I ordered roller blinds and verishades from spotlight made to measure. On three occasions there was no-one at the south Melbourne store to help me, but I received amazing service through the customer care phone number. The sales rep went out of her way to get a consultant in contact with me. From there, Leonie at the warrnambool store was great to deal with, my blinds were made within the expected timelines (4-6 weeks) and Bruce did a wonderful job installing them. Aside from the lack of service at the sth melb store, was so happy to have ordered my blinds from spotlight.

Awful Returns and Exchange Policy
On a couple of occasions, I have been extremely disappointed with Spotlights exchange policy. Today, I needed to exchange frames that were the same size, same brand but without a receipt, no exchange was allowed. Exchange and returns policies seem to be designed to purposefully make things difficult for customers.
DK, Lincraft and Bed Bath Table much friendlier.

Feedback for Sofie Jacobs - Bayswater- VIC
I would like to provide positive feedback regarding SOFIE JACOBS .
I called to check on availability of a kids comforter ( Disney Frozen). Sofie went above and to assist me, and took my number and advised that she will call back the next day to see if one was available. Sofie did called back and advised she has located one. I cannot speak highly enough about the fantastic
customer service provided by Sofie, she was polite, courteous, helpful, and delivered on her promise. Sofie should be commend for her excellent customer service. Great work, and a great staff member to the store.
In fact the customer service from the Bayswater (vic) store is great always, and staff are delightful to deal with.

Why even bother
I am an avid knitter. I buy 98% of my yarn online . Not only do i get it at a good price online but i have a ton of choice. Unfortunatly spotlight has the same ole' yarn year in . Year out. Next to no sock knitting yarn. No 6 ply sock knitting yarn. And if there is a good yarn on special it is gone in 3 seconds flat and staff shrug their shoulders, and tell you they are not getting more in. If you can find staff that is . Massive stores with approx 4 staff on .

Mt barker store disability unfriendly
The isles are getting narrower with added signs and products jutting out. Very claustrophobic. Not a pleasant shopping experience. Oh and being close to Christmas and sales were on one staff member at the checkout.

Koo sheets - mega king
Mega king only in price! Do not fit king bed, have shrunk and after returning 1st pair due to splitting, 2nd pair are now splitting. Why advertise mega king when this is sooo false! Do not purchase.

Ryan is amazing
Ryan came around to my home today from Joondalup spotlight. What an absolute pleasure it was to have him in my home. This young man is professional, sincere, wonderful sense of humour. No communication network
I have been trying to communicate with these people over a simple matter of an incorrect mobile number quoted for over 12 months without success and consequently I am subjected to a barrage of text messages from Australia Post regarding parcels I know nothing about.
