The receptionist Lisa is very good at her job; attentive and flexible.
Inspector seemed decent at first but failed to advise of some important issues picked up after buying the car. He then became defensive when brought up.
State roads did not return emails eventually. Ended up taking vehicle back so didn’t bother chasing them up.
Over priced for the service given which seemed rushed once they have your money.
Would personally not use them again.

We had an inspection done on a used car and after the inspection we were able to speak directly with the mechanic who did the inspection. Go told us that the car was good and that it is the sort of car that he would personally buy. He reported that the brakes needed doing and we were able to get a reduction in the agreed price from the owners. The mechanic arrived on time and was thorough. I would recommend this service.

State Roads Inspection and History check saved me from making a big mistake, buying a 2010 MX-5 from a woman in Attadale, Western Australia. There was around $3000 to be spent on brakes, tyres wing Mirror and re-licensing. As well, there was a loan out against the car which had not been disclosed to me by the seller. She would not let ma pay the loan out and wanted to sell me the car even though it was re-possessable by the Macquarie Bank.
I got my deposit back and did not buy the car.
The report was very comprehensive and the Inspector called me to talk me through it. I'm still looking for an MX-5 and will definitely use State Roads Inspection and History Service again

John was very thorough with the checks and he knows his craft. He picked up things that even a car enthusiast like myself did not notice. John called me following the inspection and spent a good half an hour explaining in detail the characteristics/flaws of the car while offering his advice. I didn't even need the report.

It felt like i was buying my first car and i had taken dad along for guidance. Special service from these guys, and John is a deadset legend.

took the car for its first service today (have driven roughly 8,000kms) and have had to spend $1k to replace tires (unroadworthy and alignment was extremely bad) and new battery, would have thought this would have been picked up on by the report that cost me $300
